Well done, its one of the best interpretation of this piece. Im slovak and I know this. Its very good tempo, not too fast. I say BRAVO for conductor and for all singers. Thank you
I have been singing in Slovak choirs for about 20 years and I am so proud about this author. I knew him personally - I was honoured to sing in competitions, where he was also a judge. A fair man, genius as an author, but so modest and nice. And well, I am very happy that his work is also known abroad. Look for more his works if you are interested in - you will not regret. And, congratulation! This was one of the best versions of Rytmus I have ever heard. I think we were never able to finish it under 1:42 :-)
Hi! I am currently doing a project relating to Slovak composers of the 20th century. I would like to talk to you and pick your brain about Hrusovsky and any other Slovak composers you think I should be looking at. Please send me a message.
Great harmony, AWESOME dynamics!! My school's concert choir did this song at the last concert last year and this song mesmerizes me(: I love it!!! 100%
Trust me, it isn't the Latin that makes it difficult.... It's the complex timing, melodies and rhythms of the various voice parts that does... Hardest song I've ever learned in my time as a choral nerd.
I hate to be the naysayer to such a great piece, but I think they overdid the dynamics, and it pushed the harmony out of the song. they either made it too loud, or too quiet and I couldn't hear the wonderful chords...
the first two weeks i had to learn this song, I HATED IT
but now... its always stuck in my head
This fills me with anxiety and excitement because it's beautiful but oh wow how do you breathe
S t a g g e r b r e a t h e

My choir sang this in Carnegie Hall back in October 2012. It's so hard you people don't even know....
Patrick Proctor hehe I kinda know, and I'm a alto trying to sing the bass part
Patrick Proctor there's only 4 words tho

Best cover so far😍😍😍
My high schools madricals are doing this is really cool
This song took FOREVER TO LEARN
Amazing.
oh wow! I wish our choir was this good... We have to sing this song for UIL, and all I can do is pray that we do a good job on our dynamics.
And it will be for the rest of your life. Forever.
God help the Soprano ones...
Singing this piece this spring!!! :D
going to take this and john the revelator by moses hogan to state contest on the 23rd. wish us luck. second soprano represent(:

we're fucked...
You guys think it's hard, while the alto 2s in my choir have to sing the bass part (me) ;-;
it could have been slightly slower, and I could have used more tenor at the straight F section. Other than that hot damn.
