Maybe they will try to justify it with the weird wiring, exclusive pick guard, custom bridge (even if the just changed the saddles, signature pickups and whatever.
Btw, for some reason the word greenish version is slightly cheaper.
It has a better playability that the St. Vincent but anyway, that shouldn't mean it is a more expensive guitar

Sounds good but not special. Looks good but not special. Its hard to do both these days with so many options. EBMN has always made quality products. No doubt. They have always pushed the envelope on design too. Sometimes it work sometime it doesn't. This would be a GREAT guitar at $1999.00 MRSP. At $2700.00 it's not. A plank with a v cut, A neck you can find on a number of guitars close to 1K. The ONLY thing that might be worth a little more is the pick guard. Oh, the roasted neck you can now find anywhere. You can get that from Reverend at !K. I would hate to have tone based on volume btw. End of the day we are seeing the result of a good economy. Gibson, Fender and Ernie Ball Music Man are trying to capitalize on it as much as possible. I'm tired of paying because I can instead of what somethings worth. I'll wait until a few used hits the market and get it for half of what they are asking. Or I'll wait until the economy slows down and everything is reduced like always.

The biggest problem with Ernie Ball guitars for me (sans the re-released Stingray and Cutlass) is the size - they are really small guitars. If you are tall and have long arms, these guitars feel like mandolins 🤪 I’ve played a lot of nice EB/MM guitars, but they feel very awkward to me. Similarly, the EVH Wolfgang suffers from the same problem. I’m grateful for the larger Stingray and Cutlass, they feel great! (As do the EVH striped series and new 5150). That said, different strokes for different folks...

I own multiple EBMM guitars and Ive never bought one new for this very reason. I got my JP15, basically brand new for $1700, new I think is around $3200. My Majesty in mint condition for $1800, new again $3200-3300. I have several others but they were "used" guitars. The Majesty to me is the best bargain because its a neck thru and all the others I have are bolt ons. I understand paying for quality but really would you cough up $3000 for a new one or wait awhile and let someone take the hit? When guitars are that pricy they're like cars, they lose a ton of value the day they roll off the assembly line. I am not cheap by any means but new better mean NEW and not one that two hundred wankers have played "Enter Sandman" on at GC for three months.

The music man headstock is one of their best features. The 4 +2 design allows for zero headstock break angle. This makes for incredible strength and durability like youd find on a fender, but does away with problematic string trees, which create string friction and are bad for tuning stability.

@@peachmelba1000 gonna have to agree to disagree. I dont believe you could change much about the geometry of the headstock, without changing the tuner layout. As far as tilt back on the jp models, I believe that was a compromise based on jps desired specifications, but that doesn't affect headstock shape or tuner layout. The headstock is iconic and represents the major improvement from Leo fenders original 6 on one side design. I couldn't expect them to change something so identifying as a brand. Just as I wouldn't expect prs to change their headstock. Its simply one of the things about a music man that makes it a music man.
