    I was an early adopter of hdmi 2.1 in early 2020. I went with the vizio p65q9-h1 and I absolutely love it. Two years later and it's still going strong. 4 full bandwidth hdmi 2.1 at 48gbps. 1100 nits. Dolby vision, hdr10, it also has amd freesync premium that comes with vrr, allm, I do wish i would have spent more sometimes and got done the from a more premium brand but I'm still extremely happy

    I've been enjoying my C1 for over a year now. You helped me pick it out, thank you!! It stays in a dark room, I have no 8k desires now or ever, so I can't imagine what sort of upgrade I'd need within the next few years. Great TV for gaming or just regular content. All looks beautiful. Only complaint is WebOS, it isn't bad, just isn't great. I use a 2017(?) shield and it is a better experience than the TV

    Just picked up the x95k mini led as my main gaming tv for ps5 and series x and it’s mind blowingly good, crazy bright hdr highlights, amazing contrast, oled like color, and amazing input lag. Cannot beat Sonys sound on this tv also, I don’t bother turning on my surround sound nearly as much since it sounds like there’s already a nice sound bar.

    Recently upgraded from a 55' Sony X950G to a 77' Sony A80K and man, so glad Sony has finally caught up to supporting all the PS5 features. My first OLED tv, 22' bigger, supports 120Hz compared to the X950G's 60Hz cap, VRR, ALLM, great local dimming with VRR on thanks to a software update for the A80K, and insane sound quality for when the tv calibrates your living room. Playing GoW: Ragnarok in it's high frame rate mode with VRR is truly the best way to play and all while on the comfort of my couch haha. But yea the only thing I had to discover on my own is that if the PS5 is trying to do 3D audio through tv speakers and the TV itself provides 3D audio based on its calibrations, you get like 2 different measurements trying to constantly overlap each other which makes for a vastly inaccurate spatial/3D sound through tv speakers

    @ Caleb Digital Trends - You can no longer use a RTX 3000/4000 card with the new Sony TVs. All HDMI 2.0 ports shows a frozen garbled image and on the HDMI 2.1 4K120hz inputs you can only get a working picture with the input set to Enhanced VRR but then you are locked into Game mode and can't change to say Cinema for watching movies or shows through your PC. Also, if you want to game at 120hz with BFI by using Clearness, forget it as you need to be able to set input to Enhanced (non VRR) but it's not possible since Nvidia made changes to their drivers after 512.95. They are now much stricter with the EDID rules and this is not working well with Sony to say the least. Please make a video about this, it's a huge issue for us who likes to hook the TV up to a PC.

Lets you sacrifice a small amount of latency for stellar motion clarity and smoothness in 30 or 60fps-locked games, and with no added flicker or brightness loss. It's basically off-brand DLSS 3.0. @@ianbrazier1213 Personally, I use VRR for games with unstable, uncappable framerates, GM+ de-blur for 60fps games, and add de-judder for 30fps games. It does struggle with faster-paced first person 30fps games where the artifacting can be a bit much, and just running very low brightness may be a better choice.
      Lesser known fact; perception of judder is linked to absolute brightness levels, not just frame rate, frame pacing, and pixel response times. Lower brightness and slower pixels both reduce judder, but add blur. Pulsing the image in sync with the framerate like a film projector's shutter helps perceived motion clarity, but adds a flicker effect that varies in annoyance depending on how it's done, and the rate it occurs at.

    • @Techington

      Game Motion is nothing like DLSS. Deep Learning Super Sampling has to do with upscaling a lower resolution image leveraging the RTX cards Tensor Cores through AI to produce a similar and at times more accurate picture. Game Motion+ is merely Samsungs branded name of Black Frame Insertion, two vastly different technologies.

    • @random_n
      @random_n Před rokem +1

      @@Techington DLSS 3.0's Optical Multi Frame Generation and Samsung's Game Motion+ bare more similarities than differences. Both use prior frame data to generate intermediary frames to boost the perceived temporal resolution of moving images without altering the traditional X/Y resolution. Nvidia's tech has more input than the raw frame to work with as provided by the game engine (depth buffer, motion vectors, etc), so it has the opportunity to be more accurate, certainly operates with lower latency, and runs without the locked frame rate requirement, but the effect is otherwise visually similar and has the benefit of requiring no game developer input at all. Black frame insertion is available too, but it cannot be used together with Game Motion+.

    I bought the lg C1 77 inch on sale a little less than a year ago and love it. Definitely the best tv I’ve ever used. It does have an issue with the series x and sound bar pass through where the screw will divert back to standard definition randomly. I’ve found the only fix to be Turing the Soundbar off and on then changing it back. It’s a bit annoying but other than that, the tv is amazing.

      @@chrisg8820 agreed. For me personally, seems the issue is with the Xbox,tv and Soundbar set up. Like you mentioned. Everything works fine with my PS5, PS3, SWITCH, 360, and fire cube. Only the series x has the issue. I say it’s the sound bar because it seems now that I upgraded my sound bar the resolution issue happens far less often and now I just turn the sound bar on and off a few times and I can get things back to normal Farley quickly. Not as bad but very annoying. The series x definitely has issues with this tv.

    I just purchased the Samsung QN90B over the LG C2 because of Caleb's other reviews of these TVs. The reason I chose the QN90B is because I use the TV in very bright ambient room settings. I have a lot of windows and keep my viewing room brighter even at night. The gaming response is absolutely dynamite. I play GT7 and WRC Generations on my PS5 and also have an XBOX with Forza Horizon 5 and both look amazing. Fast frame rates and could not ask for more from a TV for my needs. The TV also automatically switches modes if I'm gaming or watching a movie on my PS5. Great pick if your room is bright.

    Hi Caleb, Greetings from the farway land of Beaverton, lol. Nice video as always. One thing that I think you guys neglect is to mention low resolution gaming upscaling, specially for the Nintendo Switch, since tons of families use it on the main living room display and the switch can only output to a maximum of 1080p. It is hard to know if an otherwise decent TV would play well with it (see Hisense) I assume that Sonys would do OK since they are great at upscaling in general but it would be nice to have more information on this as not everyone is playing at 4K60/120 on a next gen console. (this would also apply to older GPUs outputting 1080p or 2K)

      Also can say also that DV C2 in Netflix looks noticeably better than HDR10 non plus S95B.
      Still S95B destroys C2 in games and SDR in terms of looks, it's way more vibrant, not even side by side in dark room.
      But S95B GUI is clunky, slow and sometimes in comparison to C2 it looks gray instead of black in not dark room.

    The only issue with the LG C2 is that it doesn’t support BFI at 120hz. It does support it at 60hz though. A minor letdown but still worth mentioning. It still holds the #1 spot in my opinion

      I think they both came out at the same time as they normally sell the A, B, C and G alongside each other. Just different spec levels. The G2 is a better panel tho and is supposed to be brighter. The G2 is also designed to be wall mounted so doesnt come with a stand unlike the other models

      My understanding is that the C and G lines are the same aside from the stand with the G symbolizing the “gallery” idea where you can set the display to art pieces when not in use to essentially become a living artwork in your living space. Which is why it requires being wall mounted.

    • @chrissyboy7047
      @chrissyboy7047 Před rokem +3

      @@charlesschwab7651 no the G2 comes with the EVO panel which has a heatsink to allow it to go brighter. Thats why they cost so much more.
      Also the full range of LG OLED tvs have the inbuilt gallery regardless of which model. My LG CX even has it.

    I was split on the C2 / S95B, but after seeing them run the same videos side by side (from a usb i took to the store with me), there's no comparison. The S95B made the C2 look like a cheap lcd from 2003, no joke.
    Dont get me wrong, if you don't have them in the same room, they're both amazing. It's just that the intensity the S95B manages to hit with every color at full blast is insane. I've never seen anything like it, OLED or not.
    I took home the 65", and I'm happy as can be. It makes both SDR and HDR games a spectacle to behold. Tho, granted, you WILL need to dial down the game mode settings quite a bit. I recommend 45 Brightness, 40ish contrast and no more than 20 Saturation. I also turne the Contrast Enhancer to Low or Off.
    The presets in the current firmware in Game mode will oversaturate the living hell out of everything, and the intense 1200nit color flashes will grill your eyes xD
    Oh and setting Judder Reduction to 10 will make 30fps games way smoother. It's really well done.
