Fun stupid and obscure fact: The main characters main attack combo (Downward slash, forward stab and 360 spin) is the same basic combo that Count Dooku has in the Ps2 Revenge Of The Sith game, which means that, canonically, the protagonist of Flushed Away is as skilled as a fully grown sith lord.

Fun Fact; those butlers were actually featured In the trailer but unfortunately got scrapped for the full movie and ended up here Instead made for the game.
I feel like all the digital assets where designed for a game and just polished into a movie…

thanks for the shoutout! i'm glad this game is getting more eyes on it again, even if people are severely underrating it. one thing i need to correct though:
the emulator run was my first ever run back four years ago, and as such it is very outdated. i have put up several other runs of the game doing it on console, and the categories are separated due to load time differences. now we have a sub-50 minute run, and i plan on pushing further. currently it is possible to go below sub-48 minutes in real time attack and even below 43 or 42 minutes in a tool-assisted run
the game has gotten even more traction recently due to a bounty for a skip (still up for grabs) and it has been featured in a speedrun marathon, specifically Licenseathon. we'll be returning to that specific marathon again this year
anyway, i'm always open to enlighten you or anyone else about how this game is a masterpiece. thanks again!

This game deserved better ratings than it got, and it's really more like one of the "Middlingest Games Ever". It was clearly far more playable than most others featured in this series.
Yeah, didn't seem bad necessarily. Just boring and low budget. Decent for what it is I suppose. I'd probably have liked it had I seen the movie as a kid.

Flushed Away was brilliant, one of my fav films when I was round my Grandparents’ house
Gilbert and Sullivan remind me of Matt Lucas and Matt Lucas with a David Niven mustache, only somehow more tolerable.
I remember renting this from Blockbuster... I hated every second of it, stick with the movie folks.

Honestly, it's disgusting. They've been pushing this s* through fear tactics (James won't get paid, never gets old) for way too long. It's like saying "you'll dive into that cesspool if you really love us. C'mon. We won't stop asking until you do. There's money down there for us! We'll scrape off the s* and pretend it's clean" It's insulting toward their viewers tbh. You already know it's a wretched place, but that doesn't matter as long as they give you money for throwing your fans at them.

I played this game as a kid and remembered it being fun, now it looks pretty rough but playable. A game I didn’t like as a kid and was bad then and now is called Anubis 2 for the Wii. It’s arguable one of the worst games of all time if you want to check it out.
This is a game that I remember playing when I was younger.

I managed to finish it once. After you finish the main story, you get even more missions to complete. With all of them being super generic. I don't really think it's worth finishing them.

Reminds me a bit of the Ratatouille game. I think that one actually had decent reviews though. The multiplayer minigames were actually kinda fun.

Never played this or seen the movie. For a Gamecube game it looks pretty decent though. (The visuals that is. It didn't look very fun to play.)
This was a game I played as a kid, but I never made it passed when you first make it to the sewer. My tiny brain just couldn’t piece together where to go and saw no indication of where to go. So hopefully some people figured it out and enjoyed it, because I never could.

I think the sword thing is supposed to be one of those toothpicks that are often stuck into little pieces of cheese and such on hors d'oeuvre platters. You can tell from that shiny colored wrap at the end that they always have on them for some reason. Maybe as a warning flag letting you know not to pick up the cheese with your dirty fingers before absently biting down on the unadorned toothpick.
Doesn't it suck when you try to twirl a toothpick in your mouth and it gets jammed between the roof and your tongue so well that you can't spit it out and you end up having to jam your fingers in there to get it out? Probably surrounded by bemused people watching your panicked struggle.
I love the theme music for this series. So cute!
Just started watching the video, and think it might be worth noting that you can actually get GC controller > USB adaptors very cheap, and I'm sure even third party GC-style controllers with USB connectors already. I have one of the adaptors and it works very well. If you're gonna do a lot of GC games it's worth having.

I had the game for the GameCube as a kid, absolutely adored it but never finished it😭 this was like a great nostalgia trip
I still have this game. It was fine. The very begging levels are pretty bad, but the game was fine after that. I particularly enjoyed the castle destruction mini game.

Jesus! Those old mini horror films, aka: public safety films, are older than me, and that's saying something.
Were those actual BBC PSA (circa 1980s?) clips about dangers of electricity ect? If so, wow! Over here in Canada you might see the kite electrify and leave it to kids in imagination, not showing the end result!
