    This is a new one! Fun tag and I love your selections. I'm thinking about reading The Time Machine for Victober this year - mash up Victorian and science fiction. Okay, you're picking so many books that I would pick!! Frankenstein, Great Expectations, and Signal Fires! I love the parade of classics in this video. I've never read Mr. Penumbra and it sounds like fun. I will certainly get to this one ...eventually!

    I was disappointed by Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookstore. I felt that the way he solved the mystery was a kind of "cheat" with a computer. What the researchers were doing was much more interesting to me. I ended up switching this book to a different prompt in my 52 Book Challenge.

      @@heathersmusic8833 no, really no cause for intrigue....It's just a room filled with bookshelves and most of my books. But for two years, I had my recently divorced brother living here and using that room. He's moved on now, but he hasn't taken a lot of his stuff, and it's just a state of chaos. Maybe this summer I will tackle getting him to move the rest of his stuff out and putting it back together. For now, though, I really can't film upstairs....

    Hey Pat, this is in response to your deleted comments (wanted to make sure you got this): I've had this happen before Pat. With other commenters and with myself. My personal guess is the CZcams AI algorithm doesn't like something (probably incorrectly) and is deleting it. Some key word in a banned word list is my best guess. I'm sorry you're having this problem!

    • @BookChatWithPat8668
      @BookChatWithPat8668  Před 23 dny +1

      Thanks, Grammaticus. Yes, I did get your response on your channel. It is so strange. I was just commenting on the wonderful Defoe edition that your daughter gave you. I was also trying to tell you that I think I found a copy of The Planet of the Apes. I’m thinking the Algorithm didn’t like that…
