PEAK DISTRICT WALKS + ENGLISH COUNTRY LIFE IN JANUARY | UK Travel EP.16

This week we have been enjoying as much time as possible outdoors. It's been bitterly cold and even snowy, but after the last few weeks of rain we made sure to spend every minute possible outdoors in the sunshine. Our week began wandering the ancient woodland of Padley Gorge and the beautiful moorland of the Longshaw Estate. During the week I had a walk around Dale Abbey, a favourite location for a picnic during the summer months and then we had a family trip to Wollerton Hall for a wander around the grounds.

When it comes to beautiful places like that, it is important to see them throughout the seasons to fully immerse yourself in how they sit in the landscape and feel their true identity. Absolutely ❤️ I love seeing places in each season! I agree with that too, I really enjoy a good brisk walk during winter. I much prefer cold autumn/winter walks to those during summer ☺️

Oh we love getting out for a good walk on a cold day! I think we prefer walks over winter to summer as you can wrap up all snug and you get warm walking about ☺️ I’m glad you’re enjoying the countryside wanders we’re able to share here. We go out come rain or shine no matter whether it’s for a video or not, we just enjoy getting outdoors :) The gardens are best to visit during spring/summer, hope you manage to get there. There’s also Wollaton Old Hall gardens in Shropshire which are absolutely gorgeous, they’re well worth a visit!
