    Glasses Friendly! That was what I looking for!

      I just picked up the RPHA-12 yesterday and I can confirm of all the helmets I've tried on recently in search of my second helmet, this one fit my head the best and accommodates my glasses really well.. I really wanted to like the Shoei RF-1400 but the medium was too small and the large is too large.

    FIM certification is only important for FIM sanctioned events and almost all club level events do not require FIM approval. The UK for example has ACU Gold not FIM approval. It was created for World Championship events not nation level events.

    Can you use this helmet with glssses ? I use modular helmets because they are more comfortable to wear prescription lenses underneath. I'm thinking about switching to this helmet but I'm worried my glasses won't fit.

      @foolishcoyote. Před 6 měsíci

      Might?? thats because it doesn't look as cool as the 11. Even the shield looks plain now. It's a big disappointment...in my humble opinion....the hjc rpha 11 carbon bleer in grey is a perfect looking 10. This new one looks like the ugliest of the sisters. 😂

    Why do the visorclosure on the side! I hate it on the side. Just do it in the middle ao i can use either hand. Or on the right! I only open it at the stoplights and there im holding my clutch!

    Will be an interesting choice for the new season, for me it will be the GT-Air 3 or the RPHA 12 🤔

      GT-Air 3 is really heavy I believe, they quote 1700g, same as the modular neotec which is crazy

    I'm stuck between RPHA 12 and RPHA 71. Which do you think is the least noisy helmet for a maxi scooter?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  Před 3 měsíci

      I think the noise levels would be quite similar, with maybe a slight edge towards the RPHA-71. However, features wise, I'd go for the RPHA-71 on a Maxi scooter.

  • @sc9443
    @sc9443 Před 2 měsíci

    My RPHA 12 carbon would be in the bin if it hadn't cost £500. Noise level is diabolical at 70 mph, drowning out ALL bike noise even with noisy road cans. I tried blanking off the vents, extra sound proofing near my ears but still rubbish. No difference whether bike is naked or faired.
    Visiblity and comfort are good but would not consider in future.

    5:59 - 6:25 you can see the visor fully fog up until it is opened... right at the time you are saying the visor is good, LoL

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Well you could also see that right then, there was no pinlock mounted. So of course it will fog up. Yes it's a very good visor.

  • @SVL1805
    @SVL1805 Před 9 měsíci +3

    Not sure if the visor should be a 5 star. I actually went to see this helmet and I was really dissapointed about the fact that they did not make any change on the visor hinge system that failed like crazy on the previous generations of hjc rpha helmets, failures that are well documented over the internet. Unfortunately, compared to the old ones, this system seems even weaker and it is the reason why I will not be buying an hjc again. For their price point, to have this system in place seems like a big miss given that I am using plastic gaskes to keep my visor in place in my rpha 90s after 2.5 years and around 7k km of usage.

    • @Darkcruzer23
      @Darkcruzer23 Před 9 měsíci +2

      how can you confirm that the materials are have not been improved? just because it looks the same doesnt mean it is exactly the same

    • @SVL1805
      @SVL1805 Před 9 měsíci

      Well... When I went and played with it live and I realized the system is the same or worse... I can confirm only from experience. Now... I did not say do not buy it or do not take it. You do you. I said that from a historical stand point, until the problems that have been reported across the world have been fixed and confirmed fixed, it should not have 5 stars on the visor. Now that is my point of view 😊

    • @Darkcruzer23
      @Darkcruzer23 Před 9 měsíci

      @@SVL1805 I have no race in the horse. But you can't confirm that they made 0 improvements or alterations. You could be correct that it's the same or worse but to say it as fact when you don't really know seems unfair. That's my point of view 🤷
