No he’s not he acts like he’s scared to shoot. Trade him get another big that fits our play style move dort to the 2 and Jdub to the 3. And get release moose and bismack neither one of them play
@@Rj20 shooting has improved and he has improved in everything over his time with the Thunder . He will continue to improve - game 4 pelicans series (you must have missed ) he let the three ball fly and in the most pressure he has ever been under he drained those shots to send the Pels packing .

efficiency and overall numbers improved(when you factor in time on court) in an "off" season.. not sure that makes total sense... his role changed, he was learning to adjust
I should’ve clarified I considered it an off season because of pre all star break Giddey. Ever since then he’s been playing so much better
i must be missing something with this talk of his game regressing / had an off season?? what stats are your metrics? his % are better but his mins are down - less time isnt a performance drop. the fact there are additional key players on the court now with jdub and chet means ops need to shared which dilutes numbers. it seems we keep hearing naysayers with the same rhetoric even with numbers in front of them. #giddeyup if giddey gets traded, i'll follow him to his next team. he is single handedly what got me into nba which for decades i had little to no interest.

People forget, we would not be the no.1 seed without him. May not even still be in the playoffs because of it.
I'm getting sick of all the writers who are just trying to generate content, and keep pushing this. It mostly came from a lot of thunder writers and podcasters, especially Rylan Styles. And when sga and j-dub were out, and he stepped up, they shut up. Now they're back theyre trying to take him down again.
Realistically, OKC were really good to him and he knows his life would of been a lot harder with the controversy if he was anywhere else. I don't see him being fully welcomed at any other city because if it. For his sake (and ours) he needs to stay at OKC.
IMO it comes more from a place of there is a ton of talent on the Thunder but even with that there is a giant hole in the dominant big area and teams getting 3 offensive rebounds in one possession is embarrassing. So then you look at out of SGA, Dort, Jdub, Chet, Giddy, Wiggins, Wallace, and Joe all of which will be 15+ million a year players 3-4 of them 25+ mil a year players you have to put everything aside and plan your future. IMO Giddy holds the least value out of all of them currently and atleast 1 or 2 of them will be gone in the next 2-3 years traded to fill that hole and allow them to not have to spend 20mil + on giddy and instead give it to the others, All these guys are on rookie contracts so the ability to throw around 30m on old has beens like Hayward is gonna come to a screeching halt in the next 2 years. It is always possible they will go the route of some of these other teams and go 100m over salary cap but its not a sustainble thing to do long term

I'm sick of the Giddey bashing... when he's on which is most the time they all ride his salami but as soon as he gets 1 less assist then the last game it's we gotta trade him. I love OKC but if they trade Josh I hope the team goes down the shitter.
I'm not really sure what you'd trade Josh for. He had a slow start to the season, having those allegations and basically having to play shooting guard vs point, but like you said he played better after the ASG and has been really good these playoffs. I don't see anything on the market that:
1. Equal to value for Josh
2. Doesn't have us giving up money that we need when SGA/DUB/CHET are up for contracts
3. We can't already get in the draft.
There's really no reason to move him, we will be able to make enough moves in the off season to fill any gaps we have. We will have roster spots open, and the ability to package our picks to move up in the lottery to who we want. Maybe not top 3, but I could see Cody Williams being on the team easy.
I agree, the whole reason talks about a potential trade (which I also think ARE NOT going to happen) is because he picked up his play. He’s no all star by any means, but he is a starter on every team. I think he needs to stay for a bit on the team
I hope he never gets traded..... BUT..... if he has to be then send him to the knicks cause he is a walking triple double in that stadium. Man that would be so good but never trade him.

Well I mean he had to play a completely different role this season and it took him a while to adjust to it 🤷♀️ and he’s been much more productive during the second half of the season
His defence still isn't great, but it has improved throughout the season and he'll run out all game to contest shots which is something most NBA players don't do.

They didn’t have any specific trade, but I do have an idea that if we trade he’ll be involved in majority of packages
Why would we do this when we can just straight up just sign Paul George and nic Claxton during the off season and draft Kyle Filapowski or clingan
Paul George can stay I would love to have Claxton though, any die hard fans are going to have a hard time watching any of these guys go in years in come
I love Clingan but he will go top 8 in the draft. I think the move Is trading our first round pick because no one that would fit in will fall to us at the pick. Claxton would be huge, and Paul George would require a huge haul

I say just let him finish his rookie contract and let him become a restricted free agent in two years. We can match the market to keep him and nothing makes players grow more than knowing they are not getting paid if they don’t get better especially if we have chance at giaonnis.
