- Oh boy... I really need to reevaluate my complaining of not enough lambs in a day. Because today, the ladies got the message and DELIVERED.
48 lambs in fact.
We are seeing another increase in multiples, which we don't love in terms of extra workload... but we are doing our best.
And just like that, lambing is almost a third done.

I love the lambs! Tell Jess that when she is in her pottery class to remember that it’s just mud. As a potter, I always tell my students to relax and to remember that they are playing in the mud😃

Beautifully written and so very true. When you think about all that nature can throw your way, every live lamb is a true miracle! It seems to me that this time around there have been some exceptionally adorable lambs, and a lot of girls.

Thank you for telling me about Tara Farms as I’m Australian and I love your channel but I’m pleased to find an Australian farm to now watch as well.
As you can see you should never be sorry about loosing your lambs. Your sheep are so much better off having you around to help them in the barn when lambing than Tara’s sheep in the paddock.

We are definitely our own worst critic. I have been watching your channel for quite a while now and your animals are incredibly well cared for. Breeding livestock is one of the hardest and sometimes the most heartbreaking thing to do. But when you have the majority being healthy and happy lambs you know things are going right!

I fell in love with the doctor almost more than my husband when I finally got a epidural after hours of a hard labour!

I’ve been raising sheep and goats for some time now, and I know it’s really hard not to “what if” or “if only” lambs or kids that don’t make it, but please remember that you’re only human and nature is a mutha. You can’t be in two places at a time, or know in advance when you’re going to be needed. Grieve for the little ones that don’t make it, but don’t blame yourself. ❤️
The light in your eyes during lambing time is glorious. The last lambing season was so stressful for you. Its good to see you enjoying it again. ♥

I love to see the different attitudes on the moms toward you and their little lambs. It’s entertaining. It amazes me to view the moms birthing a the little one’s knowing naturally how to find the first meal! The love you have for each one born is very evident and I’m sure you blame yourself when you find one not alive if you weren’t present. But nobody would do better than you do so don’t feel guilty. You save as many as time and God allows.
You seem very real about admitting your faults but you have so many wonderful qualities. Keep up the good work both you and Clarissa and be blessed!🐑🎄🎁💕💯🙏🏼
I wish I had be able to get the advent wool crafts for my daughter. It would have been perfect. She could take a break from her schoolwork and have some crafty fun.
We took a pottery class last month!! My daughter wanted to so I had to go. I’m glad I did. We had so much fun (and stress!!!) with the pottery wheel. The lady leading the class would tell ya that you had to have your fingers her and hands this way. Her helper did things a little different. The other lady helping out did things totally different and was very chill like “just do it whatever way your hands and arms and legs feel comfortable. Lol When I just did “whatever” I made the BEST little bowl. The other 2 weren’t as good. I’d prefer to use the wheel with as few people as possible. It adds to the stress the more people are in the class because if you need help you have to wait. And you could possible mess up the clay and have to start again with a new piece. One day I think my daughter will have a wheel. And a kiln. She wants to make mugs. She could make them and sell them to support all the pet stuff she’s gonna do as a veterinarian.
I would LOVE to SEE what Karissa does at the dairy farm too!
Please tell her she should share, after lambing season of course! 😂❤

Does your local uni or college have art class auditing? No exams, no minimal fees, you learn how to make your own clays & glazes, temperatures for firing, etc.

I have watched your channel for many years. Lambing time always warms my heart, not only the cute babies but the love and endless work you put in. For me Christmas time is not the same as other times. It feels magical to watch, it makes me emotional and I very much appreciate everything you do.
