You’re understating what we actually did to Iraq and to the Middle East in general. The US hasn’t just “trespassed” or whatever, they’re destroyed countries, killed hundreds of thousands of people, and committed countless war crimes against civilians. We’ve murdered journalists, bombed mosques and hospitals, and tortured anyone we think is a terrorist. We’ve toppled democratically elected leaders and harm the people living there. Groups like ISIS and Al Qaeda are evil, but they were created as a response to American imperialism. What those groups have done is nothing compared to the atrocities committed by the American military over the past several decades.

For those who do not know, America said to Iraq that we have no objection if it invaded Kuwait, and after the invasion, America said, “What is this Kuwait? We must liberate it.” Also, Kuwait was taking Iraq’s oil illegally, and America told the Iraqi army and threatened it, if it did not withdraw, it would attack it, and the Iraqi army withdrew from Kuwait. America struck the withdrawing forces because they were easy targets. After that, it struck Iraq, and worse than that, it struck factories in Iraq that had no connection to the army, such as sugar factories, mills, canning factories, petrochemical factories, etc. And after the fall of Saddam, it did not contribute. America helped rebuild Iraq, and even appointed corrupt politicians because it did not want stability in Iraq. The President of Iraq demanded America’s exit in 2014, and America left, but it supported ISIS after that, so that Iraq would be forced to allow the Americans to build military bases inside it. We in Iraq, our demand is to partner with China in a way Chinese silk because it will contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq. We give China oil and it contributes to the reconstruction of Iraq. Iraq partnered with China, but America did not like that and incited the Iraqi people through its fake flags to demonstrate against this project. The prime minister who wanted to partner with China was overthrown because America wants oil for itself. Also, the antiquities of Iraq were stolen by Britain, Germany, France, and America........ We are not against the people of America, but against this...

Setting aside all the horrible terror we experienced as a child, they destroyed us, destroyed our lives and our parents' lives, messed up our future and ambitions, and we are now being called terrorists? Everywhere I go they turn me down when I mention I’m an Iraqi at work and all else. What have I done man? Are these the rulers of the world? Destroying their own homes, killing their people, saying it was a terrorist organization, cluelessly tying that organization to a poor and weak country, invading them under the message of “freeing its people”, keep fighting so you don’t look bad, and give up with an ultimate carnage as the result, and being defeated? It’s crazy to think that this whole war was just because Bush wanted oil. I hope America helps to at least restore healthy relations with Iraqis and at least help them rebuild better. Most Americans see now that Iraq was a mistake, and so many US soldiers and Iraqi Civilians died because of lies.

It all changed now. And honestly, I don't think anybody was thinking that this war is going to cost 1t in 2003 and will go on for around 20 years in one way or another.
That being said; yeah; it is true; oil wasn't the deciding factor; it was only the cherry on top.
If you look into the evidence actually; I can't see much of a reason for the Iraq war except the need of the government to show a decisive action after an attack to satisfy the public. Exactly what this video suggests.

My younger brother was a jet mechanic in the US Navy when 9/11 happened. In late October my mother and I flew to see him for 24 hours before his unit was posted overseas - we didn't know where. He made it home safe but not whole. I grieve for the Iraqi people and their terrible suffering.
I've seen a few videos about American soldiers from that time, expressing their own feelings of betrayal and disgust towards their own government for the lies they were told. They live with the anguish of everyone's losses and pain, having seen it or participated in it. Every war we've been in since the nineteen sixties is easily exposed for the profiteering and propaganda machines that it is.

@@leoperez6737 iraq and iran are rivals. iran can't be a great power because iraq was in the way. but when the us invaded iraq and turn iraq into a failed state, this gives a chance for iran to be a great power in the near future. the us which is THE military power is still being a barrier for iran, but only for now. the us has become an oil exporter, and is becoming much more isolationist as it's entering a second cold war. meaning the us is leaving the middle east soon. even though the us is a major part of why the middle east has become very unstable, it's also a reason why the middle east still somehow exist to this day. and now as the us eventually doesnt care about the middle east anymore, this gives Iran which is arming to become a great power free to reign, as it's main rival iraq is practically in all means dead. other states like saudi arabia is also in a crisis so will be a soft target for iran. israel won't care since they're in the other side too. virtually the only barrier that iran might face is turkey. so yeah the answer is basically that the downfall of Iraq and the us pressence have given iran time and factors to possibly become THE power of the middle east.

i’m truly so ashamed and humiliated of all the suffering America has caused other countries and all of their people. i’m also furious coming to the realization that we aren’t taught the TRUTH in our history classes, we aren’t even taught history within the last decade, they don’t want us knowing the truth or having any real knowledge, they want us brainwashed. Our government has Americans so brainwashed by controlling what we learn, what we hear on the news, trying to control our social media, they have us all right where they want us to be. I’ve learned more the past few days diving into history on my own through youtube and social media than i ever did in school, and as an American i just want to apologize to anybody anywhere that has had to experience any suffering due to our disgusting government. And I hope and pray that my generation will make a positive impact and difference in some way, social media is literally where we are learning the truth and opening our eyes after being raised and fed on lies, I’m really just hoping we can make a difference before it’s all too late.

Sadam was a bad MF dictator however he was against Wahabism from which AlQada adapted its ideology, Sadam had nothing to do with 9/11
Iraq was struggling to secure basic life necessities for it is own citizens due to US sanctions since 1991, no way Iraq was able to make or even buy WMD. Sanctions were very strict that Iraq was not able to import tractors at some point because they thought Sadam was using their engines for tanks
Sadam fought an 8 years war with Iran for US, technically a good friend of the US, however he was publicly anti Is***el ,one of the reasons they decided to end his role probably.
Weapon industry wanted profit, notice the end of the Cold War kinda of slowed down the demand for weapon so they had to create wars to make profit, tax payers money , also US made Iraq pay for the cost of the war so it is double win for them.
Strategically US fucked up in Iraqi big time , as Iraq now is an Iranian Provence.
