The best part of this video was seen Aaron,Man Behind the Seen doing well, love having and seeing him around! Great work Dirt Perfect !
Yes, he's THE man behind the scenes. The other guy is def not. Mom says if you can't say something good......well.
Crickets for MM.
How nice it is to have "the comedy hour " back....made my night.
Mike it's a joy to watch you Matt and Aaron working together.
Thanks
We have a saying here in Northern Ireland, "never cast a clute till May's oute" that Ulster Scots lingo for don't take your coat until May's finished
Mike will never have to say "Let's cut twice and weld three times." BTW that red bracket is not to hold a fire extinguisher. It is for the emergency 2 liter Pepsi.
Pepsi will probably work better than a fire extinguisher
If so, he needs to paint it blue otherwise that other cola may make its way into his cab.
@@flick22601 true. And wee can't have that!
It’s more of a cooler bracket for the PEPSI
I was gonna say that before but dp gets so angry about that emergency Pepsi hanger
Paint the chain and the back of the plow bright yellow and every foot and chain link in black. You'll be able to see it even on the darkest of day's. 😘👍
Hey Mike should you install gusset plates to help strengthen those welds, probably set the gusset plates on a slight angle to keep dirt from building up on the gusset plates which will cause
rust issues, you guys did an awesome job engineering that plow & putting it together, and seeing how well it put pipe in the ground, I sooo enjoy your videos, keep them coming thanks Mike
I was thinking the same.
@@nanettebarling1222 box it
Was my first thought as well... Aaron knew those welds should have been stick welded.. I know he works power plants, but wonder if he is qualified for the nukes?? If so, HE KNEW they should have been stick welded!!! Getting checked off by those engineers will make a grown man cry!!!
Same thought here
Hey Guys, I'm not an engineer but give some thought to a bottom plate added to where you just welded it back together WITH the gussets these guys mentioned.
It's obvious the base needs a lot more strength.
Angled scarfing tips help a pile when you have to wash out weld in a tight corner
Washing that out seems like a perfect job for the air arc.
I learned an important safety tip today. If you're taller than your weld area a ball cap works fine but if you're shorter than your weld a full face shield is the way to go.
Welcome back Arron. Looks as though he is in direr need of an angled scrafing tip for the cutting torch for that kind of cutting clean up work.
58:00 was the most usable price of educational advice I’ve ever heard!
You could spray paint white numbers on the back.
Had been wondering about MBTS…, the opening scene of MBTS…, his laugh & smile are like no other…, and loved hearing & seeing him…
I see Aaron in a Kiewet Sweatshirt. In the 60's my dad worked for Pete Kiewet and Sons in western South Dakota where they were building Minuteman Missile Silos. He was responsible for radio communications.
Awesome
Okay. The Keystones Cop type music seemed so appropriate. Lol love watching you guys work together. If you can’t have fun and get a job done , it’s almost not worth it.
Looks great.
Mike Matt and Aaron great video! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Thanks
Idea for marking the chain, on big ships the anchor chain is painted different colors at strategic points (1ft, 2 ft, etc). All you have to do is see which color is touching ground to know where you are. Blast one link every ??? easy peasy.
Another great vid Mike…thanks!
Maybe paint each foot of the chain using alternate colors
Just a note. Don't separate the Velcro before cutting it. Saves a lot of time and effort and both pieces end up properly aligned.
Came here to say the same
Exactly!
sure Mrs. DP has to wonder if having the shop right there to keep an eye on Mike is always advantageous!
Wow, look at that day Matt, Aaron and you all together again, great video we’ll see you on the next one. Thank you.
what a great leaning video. Thank you all. Its got to have a name.
Have Aaron Carbon Ark them numbers in the back of the boot so they’re recessed and then paint them bright yellow
Good to see mbts work and more work
Hey Aaron, talking about perfect, I was talking to Mike the other day and he told me that until quite recently, he was convinced that he was perfect!
It ends up that he thought that he had made a mistake …but he hadn’t!
I really love that you guy's modify your equipment to work for what you do! Makes for fun video's as well!
One of the best if not the best “industrial” video on CZcams. Many thanks guys.
Thanks
👍👍👍 The tile plow is a beast MTB has to warrant his work, I mean he's the man Right? You guys are great to watch together makes my morning coffee much sweeter.
It is fun watching three best buddies working together.
The new adventures of Abbot and Costello!
Good to see MBTS is back, but you guys are having way to much fun
Glad to see MBTS back. That project is amazing y’all work well together
Excellent work Mike, Aaron, and Matt.
Have you thought about putting a mark on the end of the pin so you know the hole position as you drive it in? This way when you have it out more so you can twist it easier.
Glad you caught that crack before it got critical, Mike. Just goes to show the importance of regular equipment inspection!
Yup exactly
He caught it before the tractor left the plow behind that would have been ugly
Thanks Mike, seeing the three um Amigo's working together was great fun! You did a great job designing and fabricating your in cab equipment shelf. There is likely to be some vibration noise in the cab but you can mitigate that by using some 3/8s rubber automotive hose, slice it length wise so it slides over the contact point of the stand and the dozer. I sure appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos. Thanks from Canada
Welcome back MBTS hope you will get more time in the future to work with DP… you are a good team together… arguing like a couple super fun but still serious work being done…
Hi Mike, I would suggest you paint the guide/measurement chain bright orange so you can easily spot it from the cab.
Mike, may your chain never get hung up on anything! LOL!!! J.R.
I think you should paint each of the depths on the chain you are referencing with neon paint!!!
Secret to a successful growing company is great employees and Mr. Dirt Perfect is doing it right!
Thanks
The platform for controller looks great keep up the great work
I'd like to see you add some more gussets there. Possibly at the bottom perpendicular to the new welds.
Instead of using velcro on the joystick...
Step 1.) unscrew the bottom plate of the joystick.
Step 2.) check for clearance issues to install 2 or 3 small bolts*. (I'm thinking a #6-32 nut and bolt combo sold in most stores).
Step 3.) drill 2 - 3 small holes in the joystick plate and metal plate, so that they line up.
Step 4.) insert 2 - 3 small bolts pointing downwards in the joystick plate.
Step 5.) reattach the bottom joystick plate with the screws you removed in step 1.
Step 6.) run the bolts through your plate with holes and tighten down with nuts, washers, and split washers.
*(Note - machine screws, bolts, etc.. Also- use stainless if used in a wet area.)
Awesome awesome video. Very impressive and too many positive thoughts to list! Enjoyed the vedio ❤️👍👌👌
Was great to see Aaron again. It is always great having him there and working with Mike. Good to see Matt there as well, as you are all getting the big mean green machine taken care of and back to working order. taken it you replaced the Hydraulics as well?? wondering how Jerry is gonna take to the extra controls..??Like the idea of the marking on the digger, and thinking engraving is the best way to go..on the chair just put on differtent colored zip ties on it!
I agree with you Mike I would have put gussets on it out of 3/4" just as a precaution. Obviously, a monumental amount of stress right there.
3M Dual-Lock tape will work for the joystick. It has a very strong, stiff lockup which should not work loose from a bumpy ride, while still allowing you to remove it by hand prying.
Matt always entertaining watching you and Dustin, I cannot wait for the next one.
So nice to see MBTS back he is a hoot your so blessed to have such great friends and Matt as a employee sure takes the stress out of everyday life when you know they are there and have your back 😁👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Fan freakin tastic! Great to see MBS back in a video. Love the bantering between you all. I've said it before.....your videos are like coming home
Get a rattle can of clear coat and spray over your white pen painted lines and numbers, will give protection against wearing off
Love the banter, workplaces these days are to clinical just retired and my favourite days were working in the post office over 35 years ago when you were allowed to be an individual and not confirm to what everyone else wanted.
Great video 👍 Good catch on the pre check inspection, the saying is "it's only as strong as the weakest part"but improvements are on going nice to see Mbts😅
You have that Stan and Ollie music going,, love it
Torch scarf tip with directional, I cut up residential trash trash, push blades.
Removes welds fast and leaves smooth finish.
Great seeing this video after watching the latest tile plow upgrades. Very impressive, love the can do attitude!
Thanks
I was going to rag on the Rube Goldberg box. Instead you are so lucky to have a great team of people around you. MBTS had me laughing out loud.
I'm so glad that Matt explained why we are supposed to press the tape against the stuff it sticks to.
A little dirt in my coffee this morning is always a good thing...
Glad to see you found and fixed a problem, as well as the upgrades with the plow...
Also nice to see the man behind the scenes again also!!
Very nice video... 😎👍
Personally, I prefer a little Whiskey in my coffee in the morning over a little dirt.....😁
I prefer a little coffee in my milk...
Nice improvements and upgrades/repair 👍You are multi-talented with a great crew.
12:10 Practice might not necessarily make perfect, but practice sure does make permanent!
Try a centerpunch for engraving the lines and numbers on the plow.
Nice to see Aaron back.
Love the changes, I would suggest taking like a 1/2 “ dim. Drill bit and make reference marks / indent dots for depth markers then paint them with glow paint. 2 for 2 ft. 3 for 3 ft. And so on. Just suggestion.
For Matts measurement idea on the back if the ripper, you could always paint the 1 foot block between the 2&3 and the 4&5 a different colour. Either black so its not too obvious or go full HiVis yellow/Orange so that way you know the bit where the 2 colours meet is the foot marker. The paint seems to be holding up well on the back of the ripper so it should stay good for a while.
Great to see MBTS back for warranty lol nice to see all three of you gentleman back together hope to see more of it 👍👋🇨🇦
With the chain all you have to do is paint it a different color each 12 inches!
Y'all are nearly as entertaining as ole Clint & Kevin. Love the "field expediency engineering".
Far as marking Depth gage on your Digger, if what you have now doesn't work out, considered buying some stencils and bright spray paint. They come in many different sizes. For best visibility, use 4"-6" size numbers & high contrast paint. Canary or fluorescent yellow should be great against Olive green? Love this group of Amigos. What a hoot ya'ii can be!
The THREE STOOGES are back together! Yeah! Good video guys.
Great job free hand cutting knew you could do it.
MBTS you see DP' s weld didn't hold. Now you have to fix it correctly. Lol God bless
Mike you can get some reflective house numbers and place them on the back of the plow. I don’t think the rollers will tear them off.
needs a bottom gusset plate same as the top one and a set of side plates
Good videos thanks for sharing your story with us and day
Thanks
How about using a center punch since you don’t have number punches for your depth markers. Then use a paint stick to fill the dots.
You were having to get on your knees to hook up come along. Man behind the scenes was standing up lol
im so late getting here been bizzy. got me a big smile seeing mbts and him grinding on ya. such fun time watching ya fix a little weak point. cheers guys.
Aaron has a great radio voice he just needs to say with confidence what needs to be done in the field 😀
the joy stick plate base has the holes just use it to mark the holes to mount it
Great show as usual. Love to watch your innovations.
Great job on the plow build. I'm impresse
if you paint your chain, make it 2 different high visibility colors, one color for the top and bottom and the other for the center. just a suggestion..
What about a plate across the bottom right below the break tie it all in ???
Colored zip ties for the chain and drill a corresponding painted divot count and score line for the shank .
I love it Aaron was making noises, and he said just ignore the guy. I say yep it's just a welder you probably set himself on fire again. He'll be okay he's used to it. I love the way you guys work together
good to see the three of you back together, we've all been missing the laugh's.
I bet these welds behind the scenes will hold up much better! Love the Portable Control Center Console sumthin sumthin thingamajiggers.
Plow away guys, plow away!
Hi from uk Mike and crews👋👍 its amazing the plough never fully separated seeing that stress in the weld😵 but you got it sorted and hope no more issues am just pleased you inspected it 👍 control unit looks like it was always meant to.be in cab now did good job on that but you just be careful with those fixings (we both know how you and stray fixings kinda loose each other in the moment😂🙈) many more good jobs to come for the attachment tho 👌great guys, thanks for your your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
I really enjoyed MBTS and you back together I miss him in your videos.
To bad Aaron has to eat and provide for his family he could be there more.
Great Video
Be good be happy be safe
Jobs like this is where an air arc comes in handy.
If the Velcro fails, try epoxying some magnets on the joy stick, as for the snow , I played in it on may 10th OR-140 and CA-44 (driving)
Try a firring strip for a guide, will not burn too bad , sometimes the steel straight edge guide tend to pull the plasma cut toward the heavier metal not straight thuough. Minor but could make a difference.
Brilliant work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
Nice job on that bracket!
Mike, you guys are the Poster Child delegates for American Ingenuity and Backyard Engineering.... it's folks like you, your entire circle of friends and acquaintances on an off YT... that Make America Great Always! 👏🏽👍🏼☺️
Thanks buddy
