Thanks for posting this video as I was unaware of the POSSAP sight! After watching your video, although you were applying from your own country, it did not take my husband and I long to figure out how to get it from overseas! We applied from Canada, and received to PCC from Nigeria, online!

The time of registration and when you will receive the sms shouldn't be more than 72hrs, you can contact them with your valid number after registration to explain your situation.
And we that are staying in diaspora, how can we go about it

Hi, I applied on Friday evening from diaspora how will they get biometrics? How long will it take before I get the certificate from your experience
They will contact you on how to go about your biometrics, and the certificate should be ready once the biometrics are done. I didn't do mine from the diaspora though. But you can check the comment section, I'm sure people who did from the diaspora wrote how it went.

Definitely, try to contact them if you have submitted your application before the biometric appointment.

Getting the biometric date by email might happen or it might not, the best is to try calling them if there is anything they can do about it. I hope this helps.

Yes, they do. I printed out a colored copy.

You are welcome. You should be contacted within 72 hours of your biometric appointment. You will receive an sms.

Kindly get in touch with them on your location by email so they can tell you the next step to take. It
After applying online and making the payment, they will send you the form to print and fill out, plus give your fingerprints. You will need an ink pad! Then you will PDF the form back to them, and when approved they will send your PCC online. My husband applied from Canada, and received his PCC online from Nigeria while he is inside Canada. The benefit to doing it outside your country is that the PCC does not expire until you go back! You can’t commit a crime if you are not there!

The surname on my Nin is different from the name on my passport , but the same Nin number please what do i do ?
I would advise you to use the one on your international passport if you are using the PCC for a foreign process.

You will have to wait for the status to change, if it's not changing after a few days then you might need to contact them.
You should receive an email once your application is successful, check your email/spam.

Please i used a non-functional/non accessible email address in filling my police report online because the email address is linked to my NIN already and i couldn't change it to another email and i don't know how am going to know my schedule date if message is sent to this non-accessible email address...pls do you know if sms will be sent to my phone number aside email message?
Yes, an SMS will be sent to you on your biometric appointment. You could have used any functional email address it doesn't have much effect like your phone number. So yes they will contact through SMS as well.

You buy a fingerprint pad and do it yourself! They supply you with the form online, after you make the payment! You print the form, fill it out and do your fingerprints, then PDF it back to them for processing. They will send the PCC to you online after it is processed. This information is for people applying from diaspora!

You can try, but definitely will go through the online registration. Not all police station do that.

Some say 6 months!
The last I know it's valid for 3 months, it could be depending on countries but the best is for you to contact them for the latest info.

Pls, does the arrangement of name matters on the certificate. Because the arrangement of my name on my international passport is my surname, first name and then last name. I submitted my information in that order. The certificate was sent to my mail but my first name appears first, before my middle name and then my last name
I think it's fine, it's their way of arranging it I guess so far no name is missing that should be okay.

@@aisosaabusomwan5320 shows it's pending, you have to wait to get an sms from them. If in four days no sms, I would advise you to call them. Check your email too for updates.

After the capturing and fingerprint is it a must will check the portal to download the certificate or it will be sent through Email
Cause I pay the police officer to do it , I don't have portal how will I get it , it been 1 days now
Yes, your certificate will be available to download on your portal. Ask the police officer for details of your portal, that way you can download it when it's ready. It could be that the officer wants to help you out with it. Ask the police the police officer.
I can I get when I am abroad
You might need to go to the Nigeria embassy in the country where you are staying.
You can apply from abroad, as my husband applied online from Canada for PCC from Nigeria, received it no problem. You are applying in dispora!

After your biometric, it should be out within a week depending on the process.

You will print the form they send you, after you make payment,..buy an ink pad, then stamp your own fingerprints, .. PDF it back to them. They will send your PCC online to you! Applied from Canada with no problems!
