- Welcome to our video where we uncover the harsh reality of life as a Crimson Fleet pirate in Starfield. At first, the allure of plundering cargo ships and defying authority may seem tempting, but the consequences are severe. Joining the Crimson Fleet results in immediate bounties and relentless pursuit by the United Colonies, hindering your progress. Surrendering leads to XP penalties, and paying off bounties demands an incredible grind.
Moreover, access to civilized space is denied, limiting your interaction with faction questlines, trading, and city amenities. Aligning with the Crimson Fleet removes exciting combat opportunities, as their ships no longer pose a threat. Ultimately, piracy is more of a hindrance than an adventure. Watch this video to understand why becoming a Crimson Fleet pirate may not be the best choice in Starfield. - Hry
I killed the UC leader and they made me a captain. I play both sides. I had one Bounty and it cleared with out me paying. This game has a ton of options. 🎯
When you join the crimson fleet you can still attack crimson fleet ships and get their loot. You get a bounty but that’s it. It’s the same as if you weren’t in the fleet
It weird that that punish you so hard though. But also want you to play through 10 times.
Literally every time you grav jump they'll be there. If you defend yourself your bounty skyrockets lol.
I think the idea is to start off on the UC path and then slowly sink into a life of crime and violence in later game. Also being a crime lord takes time, sometimes the most evil people pick excepted authority like the UC to blend in.
True, but... There is a difference between joining the Crimson Fleet and engaging in piracy.
The biggest benefit to joining is you have an easy way to sell contraband.
An easy way to sell in general. 5 vendors. 2 of which have over 10k credits.
35k credits on each reset.
In addition to that, the com spike and that other thing. What benefit is there to joining the UC. Basically nothing
@@aightm8 The UC gives you 250,000 credits. If you're perusing companion status, I think they're all opposed to siding with the pirates. And as the video states, the procedural structures on planets frequently have pirates you can kill and loot.
Oddly on this playthrough, the UC hasn't tried to recruit me.
@@bob-rogers you get 250k credits from both factions. So the only factor is companions.
The procedurally generated stuff is randomised between pirates varuun and spacers. So no loss there.
You can still choose to fight pirates if you wish, they just won't attack by default
@@aightm8 At level 60 I haven't encountered any va'ruun in (eg) an abandoned robotics facility. Yes, you can kill pirates in these sorts of places if you have sided with them, but if you do you get a bounty on your head which eliminates the benefit of access to the Key.
@@bob-rogers if you've done Ng+. You will come across them non stop when farming artifacts
My favorite pastime in starfield is going on a crimson fleet hunting season and looting their boby and selling their stuff for a profit 🤑.
And if your companion kills innocent people the UC sysdef will kick you out forcing you to side with the fleet lol. I left that universe super fast lol.
I broke the game. I killed all the non-storyline pirates on the Key before the final battle, but then I sided with the Crimson fleet. I am a member of Constellation, Vanguard, and the Rangers. Pirates don't attack me. nor does the UC security. In pirate/UC security battles, the UC attacks me, but I have a 1 million dollar bounty on me from the crimson fleet. I'll have to start the game from scratch to try to eliminate all the bugs. I make all my credits boarding ships in space, then selling them. Taking over the Gilbank ships and the Valentine ships nets me only a $650 bounty. Outpost building seems boring. You only need 2 weapons to beat the game, an advanced hard target, and an advanced MagStorm. The biggest problem I have is selling the captured ships, because the shipyard credits don't respawn for days sometimes.
Don't restart... Just do NG+
There's literally a way around all this. What he's saying in the video? All you have to do is literally do the the undercover job. Right at the end of the game. When you have done all the main quest and cycles, then just complete the last few days missions to go through the unity and bob's your uncle you done
lol none of what he is saying is true. you can be quad faction and pull missions from all of them and pay the small bounties at the end of the missions and still make money. just dont kill security guards. apparently one guard is 15k bounty where the civilians are 1300.
What about doing the missions without companions? Still getting bounties for guards?
@JirosUsti yeah. It's not just the companions. It's any sort of witness. Lol. Most of the time, it shouldn't matter. But you're talking like maybe max a 5k bounty after selling a 50k ship. That's just sales tax lol.
Kinda pointless to list the disadvantages of being a PIRATE. Because... YOU'RE A PIRATE 😂
Yeah fuck the pirates found that out the hard way I'm a vanguard, you can get away with blowing up a crimson ship but uc your screwed, not to mention the best crew stats are the constalation crew and they won't mess with you if your pirating....
"every landing imposes imprisonment or death"
pfft, comes with the territory
you thought being a pirate was fun and games?
