Dave, congratulations from Portugal!! An absolute remarkable job!! How do you come with the finishings? Do you apply any paint or varnish at the end?
Thanks for the kind words, Miquel. Appreciate it. I only use exterior latex house paints primarily. Concrete acid stains occasionally on pond basins. But mostly paints. Have more fake rock how-to stuff, including free downloads and more at davehenderson.podia.com if ya like. Anyway, thanks again. Hope you have an awesome day! Cheers, Mr. Dave :)
Wonderful job, congratulations. Could you tell me, what is the depth of the pool where the waterfall and the slide are, as well as the dimensions of the height of the stairs, please? Greetings from Mexico
Hi Carla! The pool is maybe around 5' deep around the feature. Top of the slide is 7' or so. Have more fake rock how-to's including free downloads and more at davehenderson.podia.com if ya like. Anyway, thanks for checking out my videos. I really appreciate it. And Viva La Mexico! :) Hope you have an awesome day! Cheers, Mr. Dave :)
So this is all concrete or mortar or a mix? I forget I will look at your PDFs.
Same as them all! :) Shotcrete, patches with mortar then waterproofing after which the texture coats and paint! Badabing Badaboom!
@@DaveHendersonFakeRockVideos Thanks Dave! i will try to patch up my water feature next weekend with this new waterproofing mortar.
How much it costs to get the same type of waterfall? How to handle if a big leak happens from inside the PVC pipe. Can we jack hammer and concrete it
Cost depends on a number of factors. Might be from $26K+ up for a project in San Diego where I live. Never had a big leak in my whole career. But can always fix things that are broken. Hope you have an awesome 2024! :)
What is the link to the book? We are thinking of building a pool and I like Artistic and diy projects. If I could learn and do a project like this myself that would be awesome!
Hi Dado and/or Tyler! Yes, I totally love DIY stuff too! Have free downloads and more at davehenderson.podia.com where my Makin' Rocks book is as well. But here's the direct link here: davehenderson.podia.com/makin-rocks-ebook if ya like. If you have any other questions, let me know. Good luck! :)
@@DaveHendersonFakeRockVideos What's up! I have been gobbling up your videos, and I see you have the $17k grotto/slide webinar series on your site. Definitely excited because everything seems straightforward with a good helping of planning, tips/tricks, hard work, and artistic skills. My wife has been asking for a pool for years but I didn't want one unless it was beautiful. And that costs $$$$$. When I found out you can subcontract tasks out yourself, and also do some of the work yourself, it changed the whole game. We are still about a year or two out from the start, but you will definitely see me commenting on your videos for the foreseeable future!
God bless brother!
@@Dadof5 Awesome! If I'm still around in a year I'd be glad to help! :)
Hello I have a slide like this. How can I wax it to make it faster?
I don't recommend wax as I'm not sure of its effectiveness. Might work. Rather I use a polyaspartic from Ramuc called Slide Coat. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for application and you should be good to go. I also have an ebook on slides you could check out if ya like at davehenderson.podia.com/all-about-concrete-slides
Have a great day! Cheers, Mr. Dave :)
Whats that cost?
Pricing is based on different factors so each is unique. This one maybe around 35 to 40K I suppose. More fakerock stuff, including free pdf downloads and more at davehenderson.podia.com if ya like. Cheers, Mr. Dave. :)
is that price for rock work and pool or only rock work
Yep, sure does look fake if not a bit grotesque
Thanks for the feedback! :)
