  • best DIY Fake Rock, waterfalls & whirlpools for under £20 diy Amazing £20 DIY Garden makeover How to build Fake stone effect water feature using cement & blankets
After nearly 2 years away from you tube, now i am back and in usual style creating another aquatic masterpiece with silly materials and tiny budget. In this water feature i used old broken containers, milk cartons, coffee jar's, old towels and blankets mixed with runny cement, and cardboard there is no frame everything is just balanced until cement went hard. the moss was collected from footpaths and shed roofs.
    Thanks for watching!!!

Holy crap, man - it's looking class.
I didn't realise that the feature was quite on that scale and it's no wonder you lost the skin from your hands handling that raw cement. Arrrrggghh....I know that feeling well.
Best of luck with the rest of the build.

you should NEVER handle raw cemen it's very dangerous. and he should be wearing a mask so as to not breathe it in. Remember, cement uses water to get fluid then hardens. the adult man's body is about 60% water. can't imagine what this is is doing to his lungs.

These creations are truly amazing to behold! What fun and joy to watch the path the water takes!!! Breathtakingly beautiful creations for sure, such an inspiration thank you for the video!! Can I ask...if someone wanted to try this at home lol...after dipping the towels into the portland cement mixture and drying...will they already be waterproof or is a waterproofing agent required as well? Just love this, would love to try something small for fun...you have inspired me!!!! Thanks!

I bet if you uses smaller ruffer towels you could add more variety breaking up the parts that look a bit too much like a towel in the corners. Good idea very cheap way too scape a fountain that would other wise be big $$ for resin ones.

while i LOVE Love love how beautifully this water feature turned out!!! i will still call BS on the cost! I know the pricing was from 2 years ago, but even then ( especially then) you couldn't have made this feaure for $26.20 ( current currency exchange rate). heck indivually these items would have cost you more than that, the cement ( how many bags did you use 7-8 +/- )/ the bedding/towels, the water pump(s), chairs, totes, etc. you can't assume that everone has access to all of the items free like you did or do (Because even thrifted many would have cost more than that) a more accurate title to your video, would have been "The Best DIY fake Rock, waterfalls & whirlpools that I made for under 20 lire." wer i can't make the sign. that still catches the eye of the viewer and is more honest. this does howeveer give people a lot of inspiration and i really do appreciate that. I do wonder though,I know in the UK it does get cold during the winter, but not like it does here in the Midwest USA where temps cand dip below -34.4 c in the winter and get highs of the summer of over 41c in the summer, would this be able to withstand that kind of temperature change for an extended period of time? Because this is not something that can be disassemble and put in my shed for the winter and then brought back out in the spring.
