Join me in my fight against the machines in Generation Zero!
Welcome to 1980’s Sweden. The local population has disappeared, and machines of unknown origin roam the streets. We'll explore this vast open world to unravel the mystery, perfect our fighting strategies, and prepare to strike back.
We’ll be taking on these robots in an action packed adventure in one of the hardest FPS games to drop in 2019.

Sweet!!!! 🎸🍕☕
Can we have a build tutorial for these?
Having those walls separated from each other to reduce splash damage from the rockets is super smart, ill try that out!
I didn't know that
literal cube. Just 4 sets of walls with doors. On the second set have a little box you can run into to access the crafting stations. Use hunting towers on the 1st set. Pillboxes running the outside perimeter. And a litte shooting range that I made
Me who has like 10 wood in my back pocket:
*”hehe yea I’ll do these”*
My base is literally like 519 walls that were just spammed
I rebuilt mine several times. I loved the final design ... till I found I couldn't repair it. I naively thought the max number would be replenished. Nope. The max is shrinking with each successful attack and so is my base.
Mom, Tene builderbris is at it again! And it's always better and better
I've been experimenting with making the smallest, densest and most durable bases possible, I've found that boxing in the truck (with the tall wall units, with a single line of extra space on one side of the truck for all the stations) and then simply wrapping that first box as tightly as possible with layer after layer of walls, then fill in each corner piece of each layer with the square posts. I've managed 4 layers on my latest one, and it also has four automatic doors in a straight line on one side for access, with the single square corner posts filling the gaps between each door for extra inaccessibility lol. I should be able to get through 5 or 6 replays on hard difficulty before I have to worry about any enemy getting inside. Plus it has five pillboxes (I wish that cap was higher, like 8) side by side in a line on the busiest face, it's pretty exciting when something steps in front of those lol🤣.
I layered my walls with the short pillars to act as a flaking armor so I’ll only lose a small piece at a time
Have you seen the new fog area? Not sure how new it is but it's similar to the older fog area that had a machine making the fog. You also hear whispers and the outhouse opens by itself after the light goes off. It's super spooky. -120, 3560
I'm wondering if those 4 very small islands near it will be added.
that's actually the og fog area, it was added in the first revamp
@@ceciliascarlet4098 ah ok
They should add npcs that you can recruit or something
Exciting builds!
Wish there would be no limits for base stuff.
The max size base is probably not for me as I often play solo and now and then coops with 2 and rarely 3 players. Good to learn about the foundation plates - didn't know about that. That last base looked interesting though!
The building in this game is hellabasic as it stands.
What I wish for is being able to have full 360 degree freedom to lay down my structures so as to not look so squared off/linear.
I like the tunneling idea a lot and corner turrets, I just don’t know how things hold up at this point. The shrubbery walls are going to come in handy as well. I’ve tested nothing yet just experimenting with ideas and gathering resources. With the time limits on the waves I think mobility is going to be key. Trying to figure out ways to make the turrets take a lot of the load off if possible.🤔🤷♂️
fine ideas. keep on walking and fighting! hahahahah
Haven't even built a base yet because I haven't been playing too long...I kinda like the open idea, just stay on the move
They do look cool
Nice bases. Hey did you watch the stream replay. They mention there fixing the level cap.☕☕🍕🍕🎸🎸
I'm looking for bases that are easy to build and simple for a solo player. At the moment, I have about 680 hours according to Steam, and I have a goal to win at least one defense on Hard mode. Will two or three layers of walls be enough for one mission?
Those logs next to the wall are meant for you to stand on and shoot over wall I think idk I just started playing about to try multiplayer now that downloads done 10:45
I say this for those who don't realize that about logs... and that I'm noob so beware trusting me I guess lol
I am new to the game, I love it bought everthing that goes with it but I can not get the quest building blocks to start..
You forgot one my base lol 😆
There a discord for gen 0?
Yeah it sucks fun and all but do you know how absolutely difficult it is to get resources? I barely have enough wood and concrete to make something like that
Do you think they’ll ever make this an online multiplayer game?
Revisit this
mine is 4 walls thick one room and its a tank but it might be nice to try diffrent rooms and see if i can get 4 walls thick on that to i wish they would increase the limit
Really hoping we'll see the limit bumped up or made higher in a different location in the future my dude :D
@@TenebrisInfinite different locations would be awesome I am trying your door idea for a 5th wall my dude do you have steam ?
Now all we need is a cave update.
Lol
i like my square base...
50th
I don't build bases. I play like I'm actually the character, so I don't get close to the enemy when I can help it. I also don't need a base (thought the concept as this game presents it was a stupid idea when it came out). Why would I build a crappy base that can be destroyed and then actually invite the enemy to destroy it, and me? That's the former military in me speaking. With the physics in this game, you're better off defending a barn, house and bunker entrance. They don't take damage. IMO, don't waste your time with it.
I had a dream they came out with a new generation zero game it was called generation zero - earth it had cutscenes and it started with a heavy fighting in Sweden there were us troops and Russian troops working together the day the machines attacked I was there fighting in game, but they lost just because of the overwhelming numbers of the machines and the machines also deployed these steel cubes to disoriented and block advancement .... I was hiding in a building with us troops after the initial combat because we got surrounded, and a robot dog found us and I blacked out, I woke up in the future in a mountain top cafe with a group of survivors and the cafe was filled with food which was weird. I ran into a new robot at a waterfall it's was a flying scout that was a sphere with a red eye, had a tank run at me when the sphere saw me.when we were watching the trailer for the new game a group of us were sort of upset because we weren't sure if they would support the old generation zero game it was all so surreal....also I was in space and there was a sphere scout in space... And I had footage of it and showed the other survivors, then I woke up.
This game needs creative
Makes no sense
Right, its plain stupid. In vanilla GZ you simply cant built a effective base. Thats intentionaly impossible.
