      @@gavindhailwal3432 I'm glad you enjoy cadets! Your squadron is correct, you are not supposed to have unnaturally dyed hair (ie. blue or green) in cadets.

      I do have a recommendation for a video if that is ok. This isn’t needed, and if you are unable to make the video I could find the information elsewhere. But anyway, I was wondering if you could show how to store your uniform, including boots, and berets. Love the content man! Big fan!

    • @how2cadet500

      @@toppdogtv I keep my uniform in a garment bag and my boots in a boot box this way you can ensure your uniform won't get wrecked and your boots won't get scratched. You can get a garment bag off of Amazon with little pockets in it that you can use to store your other uniform accessories such as your belt or tie. My boot box is just a regular old cardboard box.

    This video is terrific, and was absolutely correct when made, even referring to the correct uniform standard at the time. There have been significant changes to the dress and hair standards since then, most recently in Sep 2022 - that make this information incorrect currently. Cadets should refer to the current CJCR dress instructions. I'm glad the comment box above was updated to reference, but you may want to also amend the video title.

    A long way since the old C.F.P. 201 that our little 7inch by 2.5 inch blue handbook was based on. They allowed regulars to have beards after I left cadets on my 20th birthday in 1976, I should have tried my usual shaved head/brush-cut with my red-auburn beard, but back then only Navy/Sea Element were allowed beards based on their own handbook.

    As of November of 2022, these regulations have changed, there are no limits to hair when In C5, regardless of gender. Length, style, and artificial colour are irrelevant in C5. When in C1, if you have long hair, it must be in a bun, braid, braid(s), or locks.

    As someone who used to have my hair long, and with it being curly, I'm wondering how people with long curly hair stick to the female/long hair tutorial as it isn't possible to brush it whilst dry without it going frizzy. Do they follow a separate tutorial?

    • @aletheia874
      @aletheia874 Před rokem +1

      you brush it dry, but with cream and water so it doesnt get frizzy. Definitely follow a different tutorial made for curly hair (I just searched up curly hair military bun and got a bunch of results).
