    "I wake up around 6:00"
    If you wake "around 6:00" you will not have your bed or your uniform ready for inspection. You're looking at 5:15-5:30 to get your bed and uniform done, and makes sure the rest of your barracks are clean. Camp is great except for the lack of sleep.

      At Blackdown reveille goes at 0600 but every bodies up at 0530 or earlier on Delta. To change into combats and stuff. Then after breakfast we get back and have time to do our beds and inspection.

    • @kunfang5604
      @kunfang5604 Před 6 lety +1

      Doesn't work like that. If reveille is at 0600, that means 0600 and you're not allowed to get up any earlier than that. By the way wake up time isn't inspection time. That happens after breakfast usually.

    • @dagietto4
      @dagietto4 Před 6 lety

      This is Greenwood, all CTCs are different. Back when I was at Greenwood, we weren't inspected until after breakfast, and we were given about half an hour to clean and get ready beforehand. Granted, I only took GT before going off to a different CTC so they took it easy on us, but yes, waking up "around 6:00" gives you plenty of time.

    This brings back a haunting amount of memories. Left cadets....12 years ago or so? RMC, the resort camp. Comox, the resort camp, but with the ocean and edible jelly fish. Ah nostalgia.

      Cold Lake, 2k7, aircrew survival, Mustang Flt. After 3 days in the wild, I started eating like an animal after returning into the mess hall. This course taught me really well the distinction between an animal and a human being. 3 days without ordinary food turned me into a wild animal. Keep in mind that besides Aircrew Survival, there is also a Survival Instructor Course that lasts 6 weeks, with no food, and no water.

    • @trainknut
      @trainknut Před 7 lety

      I've been to Albert Head and Vernon, never went to any courses in Quadra or Cold Lake, I heard they are nice.
      By the way, if any of you get the chance, you should do ARMI(Air Rifle Marksmanship Instructor) they teach you a lot about marksmanship, and as the course progresses you will get the chance to really test out your leadership skills, each platoon gets to command, coach, and assist the other platoons(Mainly GTs)
      But the community is unrivaled, you can say what you want about how relaxed the course is, and how low the standards are, but you cannot knock the sense of community between the course cadets.
      I mean for Christ sake, the entire company dressed up in green streamers and face paint for Battalion Sports, everybody else is all serious with their uniforms and their strict standards, and we come marching down the hill looking like we just got out of a frat house.

    Learn how to polish your boots uniform maintenance and have the mental attitude in all situations you the cadets can do it the mental image that you have what it takes to complete the course. This mental I can do it and confidence I didn't have after Cornwallis Mova Scotia 9028 I blame alcohol .Work together as a team and do what the leaders in charge tell you. I was used to Judo exercise do what the Sgts and Flight sgts tell you and how 🤔 they tell you. Andrea Lynne Inouye cpl Recce Sqn RCD

    Was in Black Down back in 2010. What a sh*tty summer. A lot of toxic leadership and abuse of power.
    Screaming at kids for no valid reason just to instill "discipline".
