- Hollywood stunt coordinators like Wade Eastwood are the brains (and brawn) behind bringing car chases to life in movies like “Mission: Impossible” and “Fate of the Furious.” Car chase stunts often involve millions of dollars and lots of brave stunt performers.

That's why Oscar should have best stunt performance awarded to the stunt director. Come on they give award for best special effect
So much work put into movies. That's why we must support the movie industry!

so... do they close the streets and hire people to drive cars on them?
Jeila obviously
ooh thats really cool!
Nicole Martinez they closed the street and out people in the cars?
Alberto Tapia yes. Same with “Baby Driver” that shot outside my job in Atlanta. The scene was shot over and over and dozens of the “regular” cars would reverse and reset back to their original positions between takes. You’d hear someone calling out “reset back to one” or something like that. They always drove dramatically slow and uniformed each take.
They often put out “casting calls” for cars, especially special or era-specific cars. They pay like $100 a day to borrow your car, then they put paid drivers in the seats, even if they aren’t doing stunts.
The only uncontrolled variable was traffic lights. Because they wanted traffic flowing in the movie, they had to time the green lights to start rolling.
EDIT: This was the scene they shot on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.

Yea, it was totaled while filming.
If a car chase was in Britain, I would love to either see a Ford Escort RS Cosworth or an MG Metro. Love them cars.

I have something I need to admit...
air is GREAT
i could drive that rolling Audi for the rest of my life
Thank God Insider put that giant red arrow in the thumbnail, because "Tom Cruise" in the title and him visible in the car would cause confusion without that arrow.
I have been hooked on car chases ever since I saw "The 7 Ups" in 1974!
I love how my boy is wearing a blues scarf
I love to watch behind the scenes so cool
*"I'm first..."*

Verynice idea yaar
That cam tho!!!
Thanks for contributing to discourage random lads, inspired by movies, from trying to do dangerous stunts & speeding on the real streets like they're on F1 tracks. This can show them that it's just trickery & how much safety measures are actually planned.
Fun to see baby driver in some of your examples same with mad max
Holy shit the cameras looked like big ass quad turbos without my glasses

*THIS, IS it, chief!* 😂💯
1:01 Man he has a gorgeous smile
Underrate video
I knew it that there has to be some cameras attached to the cars for let's say dialogue scenes otherwise it would be way too much work for roto and matte painting to replace the background.
Forgot to mention they'll tow sometimes because paying for insurance for an actor to drive themselves is crazy expensive
As most people say,
Hello random person scrolling through the comments.

The easiest way to get a good car chase is to go to a city where police are constantly doing high-speed pursuits such as Los Angeles or Vegas LOL 😂

04:58 By all the old gods and the new, she's devourable! An exotic delicacy worth devouring. A drop shall not be wasted as such a grievous act would be an unforgivable crime against nature.
What's her name asking just for research purposes
1:53 a ktm 500?
Jakie Chan doesn't need a car or a green screen for a stunt

I can now die,
Rest and pace
I was just watching the movie at the beginning....
I thought people were on roller skates with the camera and would hang on onto the car window...
