I would suggest that all e-scooters be designed with charging ports at diameter of cola bottle opening, so that used cola bottle caps could be used for resource recycling at convenience while making charging ports waterproof.
I took my VSETT9+ out for the first time yesterday and I was able to reach 37kmph at 1st speed with one motor. It was so fast, I was eating bugs. I'm afraid to try it on 3rd speed using both motors because I'll be eating birds. lol LOVE my VSETT+9!!!
Have just completed 500km on my Vsett9+. I can't speak highly enough about it and the huge fun factor it provides me. The 500km I have travelled on it includes a variety of terain - cycle ways, tarmac flat & hilly roads, shingle forestry tracks and grass park tracks, the suspension and stable ride that the Vsett9+ provide gives me a sense of safety, even at 54km/hr. for this 71yr old Kiwi grandparent of New Zealand 👍😎 A little tip to reduce the possibility of punctures, keep the tyre presure at a minimum of 45psi and have a quick check of your tyres after each ride incase any small splinters of glass have been picked up by the tyres. I have at various times unintentionally riden through glass on the pavements and not punctured. Keep safe out there.......where safety gear!!👍😎
I bought my first scooter. I love it. No it’s not a vsett, it’s a splach ranger. It’s very much like the vsett 8. ESG offered a $100 discount off the already low price which made me do the purchase. My criteria for buying a scooter: decent range and speed for urban riding, less than 50 lbs, fits in my car’s trunk, and looks good with the vsett-like swing arms in pretty blue. Nearly 100 miles later, 47 lbs is still heavy but not ridiculously so for carrying up 2 flights of stairs, unlike a heavier scooter could be. Also, i love the stem light. Urban riding (like my NYC) have streets that are already lit, but offers more visibility so others see you (adding aftermath an Orb handlebar beam light and horn completes the scooter). Now I am considering my next scooter (my girlfriend may take my splach). I came across the vsett among several other brands. I do like the vsetts, and less than $1500 is doable. Considerations now include the eventuality of maintenance. Is there a service place or dealer in the nyc area? New york is becoming a hotbed for scootering, in fact i’m scootering more than riding my motorcycle or driving my exotic car.
Been looking at these types of suspension eScooters lately. Out of all the videos I've watched, this is the best. More details than the others. Another great job, Jimmy! Thanks.

Hello! Is this scooter good for mixed terrain? I have the emove cruiser, but would like to be able to so some light off roading in a not so heavy quality scooter
It sure can handle light sand, gravel and dirt, as well as grass! Just be sure not to go over big rocks and to check your tires' air pressure every week for them both to be ideally 50 PSI. This helps preventing flat tires every month. Hope this helps! 😊
@@TheRealElectricOutdoors I've put over 600 miles on it. It wasn't too fun riding during freezing winter and rain. 1 issue, I got a faulty throttle but Rev Rides sent me a new one quickly. Other than that, 1 flat tire, replace the tube.... No problems with motor or anything else. 👍
Is it worth paying the price difference between vsett 8 and 9? For me the look pretty similar and in my city it is forbidden to go faster than 16 miles/h in the bikeway. What do you think?
If you live in an area that has a lot of hills of more than 10 degrees, I would recommand the VSett 9 for its more efficient climbing capacity. I like the vsett 9+. Perhaps as my current scooter gets older. I love the handlebar fold, steer limiter, speeds, distance, torq, and appearance. I would prefer less steps to fold the stem, rear cable and kickstand proximity, better fenders, stem lighting (not for headlight beaming but for being seen), and there’s a comfort factor with more grip tape onthe deck

@@sohaibalmahagri589 good for you. Vsett 9+ VS Pulse 10 What to buy? I don't trust smaller tires on the Vset, on the other hand on the Pulse you need to put a stear dumper ... Your opinion?
Hi guys, great review, the only thing I would like to know (as you've mentioned it), where are the turn signal buttons? I don't see them anywhere on images
Hey guys great video lots of information I made up my mind I picked up a vsett 10 plus I have a question I want to remove the the folding handlebars and replace them with regular handlebars but my question to you guys are the original handlebars have signal grips how do I remove the grips without damaging the signals please let me know thank you and once again great video if it wasn't for you guys doing the reviews I would not have gotten the scooter love the vsett 10 plus
Me and my recently GF got a VSETT 9+, it's and awesome, cool, and fast scooter. I do want to point out 1 design flaw though... The rear mudguards/fenders are horrible, water shoots up my leg and back.
Coming from an Emove Touring (approx 18+miles range) and Emove Cruiser (35 mile range), do you think the vsett 9+ is a worthy upgrade brand new? I prefer the weight of the vsett 9+ 20ah vs the vsett 10+ 25ah. But the vsett 10+ is roughly $700 more. i'm a 200lb rider.
I'll copy something that might help you coming from LifeRacer. Diameter of attachment neck: around 31.8mm. Length of attachment neck: around 45mm. Inner diameter of grip: around 22mm. About replacing the grips, you can, but there's only two options. First is to let go of the turn signals. Second would be to rewire something new for the turn signals to work. Hope this helps! 😊
For sure, in an uphill place, the VSett 9+ would be a better choice than the original VSett 9, since it has two motors. With the 9+, hills are generally not a problem. 20 degrees hills should cause no trouble! 😊
What is the exact unfolded length of the Vsett 9+ ? In Norway it is a length limit on 120 cm😅 In case it is longer, you know any scooters in that class that is under 120 cm ? Thanks for your answer
I don't know about another scooter from this category, but I do know that the lenght of the VSett 9+ is 122 cm from the middle of the rear tire all the way to the middle of the front tire. Sorry, hope this helps a bit though
hello! thanks for all the info. I just purchased the Vssett8. what is a sure sign that i have to change the battery? what is the best way to keep the scooter in optimum condition and commuting 20 miles a day total 5 days a week; how long can I expect my scooter to last. I have been thinking of buying me another one faster with more range as back up, since i live in new york and dont want to use the trains or buses anymore. thanks.
hi dudes, greetings from BG, i wanna ask do you know something about new apex 9 cos i heard it is direct successor to 9+ , is it good , are the tires 8.5 as the old one ?! that type of questions...tnx in advance!!!
Why couldn’t they have recessed the charging ports in the deck (same location) and just have a spring loaded flap/door that seals the ports in and doesn’t interfere with your foot space. They should be hiring me to design these things
The only dow side of this scooter is the lights, no too bright too little but aside from that evrything is top notch budget freindly on its category and the ipx rating is an x factor it's rare to get waterresistance on scooter in the market so for me the best choise
Yes! There's no checkout option nor any cart. REV Rides' website is the direct official purchase website for all the VSetts in the US! But there are multiple websites where you can buy them depending on where you live for you to get free delivery. 😊
I'm from the other Vancouver but I keep coming back to this review. If I understand correctly, the 10+ is the only one you can change the shocks to air ride because of the diameter on the front. Could the 9+ do the same with some machining?
If you're talking about the suspension travel, it has 4 or 5 inches of travel. If you're talking about the range on a single charge, on lowest settings, around 50 miles. But the real range might be somewhere around 28 to 30 miles I think. Hope this helps!
nice video sir, by the way i just want to ask something, i got also this vsett 9+ few weeks ago, on 1st gear top speed 26km/h i consume 4.5v of battery on 12.5km ride, then i try 2nd gear @36-38 km/h speed same 12.5 km range, but the battery consume is still 4.5v, does it mean whatever gear i use as long as it has same range the battery consume also will be the same? -newbie here :)
It does change a little bit, but it becomes obvious as soon as you turn on DDM (Dual Motors). The battery will drain faster on all three gears. Hope it helps even 2 years later 😅
It's pretty quick so I would start your son in single motor mode. And the handlebar isn't adjustable so it just depends on the height of your son. Is he pretty tall?
Hi! Do you think that the vsett 9+ is a better option that the varla pegasus? I heard some people say the tires on the 9+ easily get punctured so I am reluctant to buy it.
I think the 9+ goes too slow to warrant the weight and turn angle loss from a steering damper. The 10 and 11 a damper is required imo for a relatively safe operation
The amazing wheelie king! If you want to see some of the best riding out there follow Sotiroudis Panagiotis CZcams page. I wish I could be half as good as you at riding. An honor to have you comment on this video!
We have the VSETT9+ at home and it has been a major disappointment. The amount of times we have gotten flats can be counted on one hand… EVERY MONTH! Tried every kind of tire option. Even changing out the wheels is a horrendous process that was clearly not tested properly. Unless you are skilled with repairs of this type you are out of luck because you will not be able to change it. I wish there was a way to return this thing or swap it out. At this point it is nearly unusable because you can pretty much guarantee you will get stranded somewhere. Or maybe we just got a bad one out of the batch…
I figured that a lot of people were having the same issues. One thing that can help is to verify the tires' air pressure every week, making sure that they're both at 50 PSI. Hope this helps 😊
Your videos are like UK TV more adverts than programs and you double the volume on music and adverts so we are having to hit the mute, makes me feel at home .
What's the true range of the Vsett 9+ with 15.6 aH battery? As you're quoting a weight of 62lbs, I'm assuming the one you tested was the 21 aH version as the 15.6 aH version is only 55 lbs.
I got my Vsett 9+ last friday and it broke down after couple of rides. Rear motor did not start at all ond front motor totally overheated and drained the battery really fast on dual motor mode.
No problem doing that, lithium cells dont care. Best way to kill the cells is either charge them in conditions below 32 fahrenheit (0 celsius). Or discharge fully and leave it uncharged for 6 months.
@@mileddhaouadi731 Man, I figured that there are many questions that got passed by without feedback, so I tried to answer some of them. Sorry somebody answered yours so late
The display is useless during the day. It is not water proof AT ALL even if they say it is IP54. The tubes are bad quality. The engine break can be randomly over strong.
Pretty good except why does every single scooter manufacturer insists on having this shitty throttle control and not a ergonomic thumb throttle? The pointing finger throttle is unsafe when driving over uneven terrain as bumps can cause you to accidentally accelerate also it conflicts with the break lever, and as if it wasn't bad enough - your hand gets tired much quicker than with a thumb throttle. I hate this so much. Also what about the safety feature - throttling only when already in movement to avoid yeeting your scooter in to a traffic because you absentmindedly pressed throttle while waiting for a green light?
I guess no one has bothered to put air in the tires on this? The adapter is laughably pathetic as it lets all the air out when unscrewing. Mine already has some rubber parts falling off after one very short ride. Granted, I am a newbie to riding scooters, but had I set mine to push start and it took off on me when walking it to where I wanted to ride. Bumped into a wall as a result (no damage done) and now it won't run due to an error code 08 and a brake sensor warning on the display. AND OF COURSE this is no documentation on how to reset the scooter! So much for watching all the "expert" reviewers on CZcams regarding how great this scooter is.....
I would suggest that all e-scooters be designed with charging ports at diameter of cola bottle opening, so that used cola bottle caps could be used for resource recycling at convenience while making charging ports waterproof.

Thanks!
Vsett 9+ VS Pulse 10
What to buy?
I don't trust smaller tires on the Vset, on the other hand on the Pulse you need to put a stear dumper ...
Your opinion?
Hi guys, great review, the only thing I would like to know (as you've mentioned it), where are the turn signal buttons? I don't see them anywhere on images
They are integrated in the handle
Ay mate im thinking of getting the 9+ were yous riding it while it was was locked still or no
Could you please provide me with a trustworthy site that can ship Vsett 9+ in Greece?
Thanks in advance
Hey guys great video lots of information I made up my mind I picked up a vsett 10 plus I have a question I want to remove the the folding handlebars and replace them with regular handlebars but my question to you guys are the original handlebars have signal grips how do I remove the grips without damaging the signals please let me know thank you and once again great video if it wasn't for you guys doing the reviews I would not have gotten the scooter love the vsett 10 plus
Yeah I really enjoyed this video and don't even mind the size (8.5 x 3) of the tire but why didnt vsett made them tubeless self healing?!?!?!
Me and my recently GF got a VSETT 9+, it's and awesome, cool, and fast scooter. I do want to point out 1 design flaw though... The rear mudguards/fenders are horrible, water shoots up my leg and back.
Hey,
I am on a budget of 1000usd I live gulf so I will need international shipping. Which scooter do you recommend. I am more about range
Hey there! When you say Gulf, what country is it?
@@Andrew-vt4jt Bahrain.
Vsett 9 is Zero 9 with better suspension and 50W higher motor.
Vsett 9+ is the one to get not the basic one
I prefer the VSETT 9+ but if you don't need the power and want to save some money, the 9 is for you!
Any way to put a larger tire on the 9+?
Coming from an Emove Touring (approx 18+miles range) and Emove Cruiser (35 mile range), do you think the vsett 9+ is a worthy upgrade brand new? I prefer the weight of the vsett 9+ 20ah vs the vsett 10+ 25ah. But the vsett 10+ is roughly $700 more. i'm a 200lb rider.
What's the clamp diameter on the stem? And is it possible to change the grips if the turn signals are integrated into them?
I'll copy something that might help you coming from LifeRacer. Diameter of attachment neck: around 31.8mm. Length of attachment neck: around 45mm. Inner diameter of grip: around 22mm. About replacing the grips, you can, but there's only two options. First is to let go of the turn signals. Second would be to rewire something new for the turn signals to work. Hope this helps! 😊
How about it’s climbing power? I mean I live in an uphill place. Can this go up?
For sure, in an uphill place, the VSett 9+ would be a better choice than the original VSett 9, since it has two motors. With the 9+, hills are generally not a problem. 20 degrees hills should cause no trouble! 😊
Hi, what's the version you are testing? What real world range could be expected from the smallest baterry 48V 15.6Ah?
28 miles
And for the two versions, there's the VSett 9 and the VSett 9+.
I tried to order VSETT scooter. The website is confusing. 😲
Could the 9+ do the same with some machining?
is the vsett 9 rear or front motor?
Rear motor 😊
Se le puede poner llantas de 10"??? 🇵🇪
What is the travel distance of thE 9 plus
If you're talking about the suspension travel, it has 4 or 5 inches of travel. If you're talking about the range on a single charge, on lowest settings, around 50 miles. But the real range might be somewhere around 28 to 30 miles I think. Hope this helps!
Where can I buy this scooter? I'm in London
Look up Personal Electric Transport Ltd. in Leyton, East London. Gonna go for a test ride soon
Hey there, love the videos, I’m from Australia 🇦🇺 and I’m wondering how to purchase a v sett 10+ from your links, thank you
Do you know the led lights voltage?
I believe it's 12V! 😊
what helmet do you have? I really like it!
is the folded length 47 inches??
48.8 inches 😊
nice video sir, by the way i just want to ask something, i got also this vsett 9+ few weeks ago, on 1st gear top speed 26km/h i consume 4.5v of battery on 12.5km ride, then i try 2nd gear @36-38 km/h speed same 12.5 km range, but the battery consume is still 4.5v, does it mean whatever gear i use as long as it has same range the battery consume also will be the same? -newbie here :)
It does change a little bit, but it becomes obvious as soon as you turn on DDM (Dual Motors). The battery will drain faster on all three gears. Hope it helps even 2 years later 😅
Brilliant video on the 9+ want to get one for my son who is 12 what do you think??
It's pretty quick so I would start your son in single motor mode. And the handlebar isn't adjustable so it just depends on the height of your son. Is he pretty tall?
no
Hi! Do you think that the vsett 9+ is a better option that the varla pegasus? I heard some people say the tires on the 9+ easily get punctured so I am reluctant to buy it.
@Sister Mary Clements I was considering it but I’m looking at the hiley rider t8 pro right now…it’s 850usd
Would a steering dampener limit the front wheel from turning onto a dangerous angle? If so, what would you use on the VSETT 9+?? Thanks mate.
I think the 9+ goes too slow to warrant the weight and turn angle loss from a steering damper. The 10 and 11 a damper is required imo for a relatively safe operation
Received mine today😍
where is this scooter store located?
500 Washington Street, Vancouver. 😊
Greetings guys!
The amazing wheelie king! If you want to see some of the best riding out there follow Sotiroudis Panagiotis CZcams page.
I wish I could be half as good as you at riding. An honor to have you comment on this video!
Thank you very much bro, wish soon this fucking covid finish soon and visit you to ride all together! Big hug amigo!
THE WHEELIE KING!
And the JIMMY KING ❤️ greeting guys!
This thing hits 33 easy just not in rainy cold weather.
My question with this scooter is where can I lock this scooter with a D lock
Hi jimmy, would you buy the vsett 9+ or the 10+. I’m tort between the two ????? Thanks.
10+
@Sister Mary Clements thank you
We have the VSETT9+ at home and it has been a major disappointment.
How much vsett 9 cost
Around 1300 USD 😊
Your videos are like UK TV more adverts than programs and you double the volume on music and adverts so we are having to hit the mute, makes me feel at home .
Too bad the 9+ isn't a 52V. Still seams like a Mantis 8 Pro killer though.
I agree but surprisingly still had a ton of power.
@@Andrew-vt4jt I bet. Twin 650's is a nice setup.
Great power in this package.
What's the true range of the Vsett 9+ with 15.6 aH battery? As you're quoting a weight of 62lbs, I'm assuming the one you tested was the 21 aH version as the 15.6 aH version is only 55 lbs.
I think You should avoid the smallest battery if You can, the other 2 are the LG brand but the 15.6 is not.
@@s0m3cunt91 Yep, I agree. There were a couple in the container with 19.2 AH batteries, so I upgraded. I'm hoping it will be shipped this week.
I got my Vsett 9+ last friday and it broke down after couple of rides. Rear motor did not start at all ond front motor totally overheated and drained the battery really fast on dual motor mode.
did you ever get it resolved what happened?
@@TheRealElectricOutdoors faulty controller and faulty wires atleast what they told me..
Question: Does it have cruise control or can it be activated in P setting?
9+ does - unsure about the regular 9.
Is it bad to charge the scooter if it’s not fully dead will it kill the battery in the long run ? I have the vsset 8
You're good
No problem doing that, lithium cells dont care. Best way to kill the cells is either charge them in conditions below 32 fahrenheit (0 celsius). Or discharge fully and leave it uncharged for 6 months.
@@jimmibram thanks will these scooter survive a wash with the hose lol
Where can i find the threaded on covers for the charging ports?
REV Rides 😊
@@JustWillSet wtf i asked this over 2y ago
@@mileddhaouadi731 Man, I figured that there are many questions that got passed by without feedback, so I tried to answer some of them. Sorry somebody answered yours so late
@@JustWillSet no worries man :) i was a completely different person then, lots hava happened :) hope you have a good life
@@mileddhaouadi731 Thanks bro you too :)
The display is useless during the day. It is not water proof AT ALL even if they say it is IP54. The tubes are bad quality. The engine break can be randomly over strong.
Question: Is there a VSETT+9 seat available or do you know of a generic one that will fit it?
Yes, there is!
Protected port just exten the wiring to the handle bar stand set it somewhere in the middle. Not all engineers need a degree.
Thanks mate
Just ordered it! XD
what hill-climbing ability?
25%
Nice scooters but overpriced. I can get a Ghost for less than the 9 and get as good performance as a 9+.
My Ghost is coming!!
They're kinda expensive given their motors.
1200watt 500 pounds
I guess no one has bothered to put air in the tires on this? The adapter is laughably pathetic as it lets all the air out when unscrewing. Mine already has some rubber parts falling off after one very short ride. Granted, I am a newbie to riding scooters, but had I set mine to push start and it took off on me when walking it to where I wanted to ride. Bumped into a wall as a result (no damage done) and now it won't run due to an error code 08 and a brake sensor warning on the display. AND OF COURSE this is no documentation on how to reset the scooter! So much for watching all the "expert" reviewers on CZcams regarding how great this scooter is.....
are you filipino?
If you don't mind letting me keep that scooter so I can do a review on it. Dm me
Jesus Loves all of you guys
if its not charged up this test is stupid
