- Infamous mercenary Raskin the Reptile and his aggressive companion Jill are back in the third adventure for the solo 'zine game Rusty Dagger.
This mission is also downloaded for free from Drive Thru RPG. Today's adventure sees our heroes travel north to the fabled City of Ice. There they plan to learn the fate of a caravan sent to it and loot the rumored riches of the city, and not necessarily in that order.
So come see Raskin and Jill travel outside the dungeons and onto a newly created outdoor grid, and into freshly painted graveyard and temple terrain pieces. The models are mostly the same ones I've been using in other games for years.
And leave a comment below if you have any questions, observations or concerns, or even send me an email at the new channel email of dmgashbad@gmail.com if that works better. - Hry
This video help me decide … to get back to RPG gaming!!!
Yes… go forth and conquer!
Dude, I have to say that all of these models and terrain are very well painted, and the conversion on Jill is great. I am actually just noticing the conversion and the original core model.
Thanks. I tried to make the sword on the shorter side so ifI ever got to the point where I could make a whole Sisters of Sigmar warband I could use her as a henchwoman with a dagger.
I love your paint schemes. The simplistic bases really makes them pop. The bloodletting looks like it's made of quicksilver or ice.
Thanks. I tried to do a chrome effect on the Bloodletter following Sorastro’s video guide to painting Ultron. I actually think it photographs better than it looks in real life.
Great game, love you scenery & floorplans.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Very cool grid.
Thanks. Nice that it didn’t take too long. The hardboard does still tend to warp a little.
I tried giving actions to my allies and always found it lacking. The game looks orphaned at this point but interesting if you min/max your hero. Your videos of this make it an enjoyable experience!
Thanks. Yeah, when a companion has something to do it’s more of a nice surprise than anything else, but then again the companions with the better skills or stats either died or refused to join me. I don’t think the game is orphaned. I joined the Facebook group to access the fan adventures posted there, and the author was talking about a hard copy and a second edition not too long ago.
Good to hear, it took a while to get added to the Facebook group but it happened so I’m more hopeful.
Surgery by hammer is not very effective apparently.
Clear! *whack*
City of Ice. Will this segment into Frostgrave?
Sadly, no. I didn’t even make proper frozen terrain for this. I dunno, I always looked at Frostgrave and thought, “couldn’t I just play Mordheim?”
@@dmgashbad4908 As far as I'm aware, the only difference seems to be that the bands are led by mages rather than warriors.
Thai is a surprisingly engaging game. The off colour commentary, does a nice job of setting the tone. Just the right amount of cynicism.
Thanks! I definitely try to aim for the higher end of the cynicism spectrum. If you don’t expect too much of your heroes, you’re rarely disappointed.
