Good to see someone playing the lesser played fantastic songs of Foreigner. I can't believe how my mind flashes back to the time this was new and I was young and the world made sense. I hear one of these old songs and the memories of a by gone era flood in.

From their debut album Foreigner released in 1977, Mick Jones, Ian MacDonald, and Lou Gramm produced 3 hit singles. It sold 37 million albums in the US alone.
The Damage is Done, another masterpiece of fabulous guitars 🎸
and Lou Gramm's excellent vocals sharing the pain of the lyrics. Fabulous.
Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Tim. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

This IS the Foreigner that many of us absolutely fell in love with when their self-titled debut album was released during my senior year of high school. The live version of this song from their Classic Hits Live CD is even better as Lou's vocals soar on it.

Dude , the main reason why this song is in my top 5 of all times , is because of the one note that he holds and controls that lasts about 3-4 seconds towards the end of the song that I use for practicing my vocals ! The best note ever sung in my opinion. Check out my brothers albums Richard James the Bald Shredder . He wrote and produced his Reflection album in 96 which i love ! 😊❤

Welcome, Tim! This was an excellent submission. I enjoyed the journey back to the 70s and one of my favorite bands of that period. Harri, your review commentary was great stuff!

love this album, was one of my first purchases when i was a kid in the 70's. haven't heard this in ages, but it brings back good memories. other songs i remember from this album, which weren't played much on the radio, are 'starrider' and 'fool for you anyway.' all the others songs are great too, including the popular one we all have heard!

Headknocker along with I Need You, At War With the World and of course Starrider. To this day it's my all-time favorite album and will always hold a special place in my heart. Around twenty years ago I was able to get Mick and Lou to sign their debut and 4 albums covers for me and I have them framed and hanging in my garage.

One of my first records and still one of my favs, but for the past 3 decades I listen to album straight through, but I skip Cold Blooded and Feels like the First Time, for obvious reasons. So happy to finally see a reaction to this!!

@@jimmyfortrue3741 For me as well. 4 was certainly great and their most successful commercially but it contained their first power ballad(which honestly surprised me) and IMO the song which I consider to be the weakest in their entire catalog and that would be Luanne. I just love the vibe in the debut album.

Thanks Norman. Yeah, if I didn't choose this one I probably would've gone with At War with the World or Starrider, but At War with the World is awesome. Love the opening riff in that one.
