I am not a Eurovision fan at all, but I heard Mustii's song, and all of a sudden I follow too many things about it (about Eurovision Song Contest) on You Tube😁I also listened to all of Mustii's other songs in the mean time,( not one of them dissapoints, great lyrics, stunning voice)I watched some movies he played in,( what an actor!)saw a whole bunch of interviews with him, watched him perform live, with as a result I bought tickets for his concert in Feb. next year! It looks like I am obsessed with him, but it is more impressed! Then I saw his interview with you and now I am a fan of you too🥹It is of no importance for me, who will win, what people's opinion is about the contesters: I learned about some great artists here and that's nothing else but winning for me. ❤

That's exactly the point of Eurovision! It's a platform for the artists so we all get to know them and follow them. That's the spirit ❤️

What the Eurovision Fanbase always forgets, that most people only hear the song once. That is why certain favorite will fail. We really have to think seriously who can win and judge after listening 1 time.That's why I have my doubts for Ireland, Estonia and Sorry Greece
I get where your coming from. But we also have the visuals that might change everything. So we have to wait and see the rehearsals.
But for all three of the songs that you said, many people liked them from the first listen!

@@Kostis_ESC yeah it would be nice cause in France from the greek music scene we only know Nana Mouskouri and Demis Roussos... great singers, great songs but a bit old fashion now imo, so it would be fresh for french to have modern greek music in their lives.

Windows95man will go through. Just remember Käärijä staging and performance at UMK versus the final. Even though Windows95man staging was already more elevated in UMK than Käärijä it will be revamped for sure. Stage manager is the same. It will be a crazy show from start to finish building up until the end.

Unpopular: please don't ever let previous winners compete a second time. Becos Finland didn't win last year, it is seriously affecting this year. There is a mania that Croatia 2024 must win in order to avenge Finland 2023.
Hahhaa... Well, I hear you. But still it's an exception that Loreen won twice! Other winners have returned and didn't win the second time!

My unpopular opinion would be that ireland will finish top 15! Love the performance . Do you know when greece will be attending a pre party ? As for Marina, I don't think she will be attending any pre parties. I don't think the Greek delegation has the budget for that. Also her father passed away yesterday so even if she was going to, I would assume that she would cancel..
@Kostis_ESC so sorry to hear that . We probably won't get to see her then until the rehearsals . Do you know if they will be changing the rules this yearbon allowing the press into rehearsals? Last year it was really frustrating not being able to listen/see the rehearsals. Regards David .
@@davidhleeds The first rehearsals are without press for sure. The second ones are open to press I think like last year.
When one of the comments said they don't like Greece this year I was like "omg I'm pretty sure that's illegal" 😂😅🤣 Greece is so perfect this year 🇬🇷

As for the questions for artists I have plenty questions for Mustii (i.e. If he would marry me) but the one I would like you to ask him if you have a chance: who is taking care of his dog when he is touring and how is Dinah taking the seperation? 😊

My unpopular opinion is that the esc community in here became very toxic. you cant have an opinion without getting attacked immediately from others who think only their taste count and feel entitled to judge and score. if you dont like an entry you will be called a troll, hater, jealous guy, cry baby and so on. It's not possible anymore to discuss normally which is pretty sad. It was fun once to share opinion but today its not anymore- cause it ends up with insults and attacks.
If the way you express criticism is not offensive to the artist or anyone then you shouldn't get told off by anyone! Everyone has different taste in music and that's beautiful ❤️
This is true. It been like this for a few years now. For example, the first time I heard the song from Croatia I wrote that the chorus is taken from a metal song that I love, and BL's fans got on me even writing not nice things on the band I mentioned.

@@Kostis_ESC define offensive. thats the problem these days with social media. it's like "if you have nothing nice to say just shut up and be quiet".
Well offensive is something that can offend them either as a person or an artist. Also the language matters. It's different to say "I don't like this type of music" and "This song is sh*t".
With the second one you offend the artistry, while the first is a personal preference and noone should have an opinion about that. (People will still do of course but you shouldn't care)
But it's also good for us to see if we expressed ourselves in an offensive way even unintentionally. I always try to find the right words because I know the artists are watching and I know how hard they are working. But I'm also in the arts so maybe I'm extra sensitive.
Perhaps you could ask them (privately) if Orthodox Easter will affect their preparations. For example, being away from family at this cultural and religious time. And the Turquoise Carpet is on ?5th May ( Orthodox Easter Sunday). Maybe this is a bit personal, but it affects lots of countries.
Hmmm... That's a good idea but I don't know if the party mood would be the right atmosphere for this question. Maybe if I get the chance to interview them on a more chill environment I will ask!

Oh boy some people sound like a broken record with that Kaarija jabbing it is very annoying. CCC and RTTD are two totally different songs. Don't those people know anything about music? I didn't like Kaarija and CCC at all Loreen's victory is well deserved. But I love Baby Lasagne and RTTD, I am metalhead who doesn't like rap music.
To Rebecca's defense she followed up on her comment to explain, but I didn't add it in the video.
Here's the follow up:
Adding: I don't think Croatia is a copy of Käärijä, but there are similarities and this prediction that viewers will like it but juries wont. Musically the Rammstein influences and the mix with the dancebreak make them comparable. (I don't like "copycat" claims, but I do make comparisons in ESC context especially with recent years).
If you are a metalheads you know Pain and you hear that the chorus of Baby Lasagna's song is taken from Party in my head.
Imo Cha Cha Cha is better overall even if I'm not into rap at all.

@@crix4e I am a Pain fan myself. And I am musically educated also. Honestly, to me it is ridiculous statement that the chorus is taken from Pain. They just share "whoaaa" and only in a sense of the word itself (and that word/shout is btw common in many rock/metal songs), but even that word is sung in differen melody and different rhythm. Songs have similar vibes in sense of industrial/metal/techno sound but it ts far away from copying or "taken from".

I completely agree with the person who said the juries will decide it this year. With so many televote bait songs, the logical thing is for them to cannibalize each other, since they're mostly competing for the same demographic (thinking of Estonia, Finland or Netherlands - Croatia to a ccertain extent, but this one has a rock element that makes it stand out). With so many televote friendly songs like those ones, plus the likes of Armenia, Greece or Austria (not to mention songs that are likely to do well with both televote and jury, such as Ukraine and Italy), it's unlikely we'll have a runaway televote winner, which is the only way I see the likes of Croatia or Netherlands win, given that jury support should be fairly low for them. Meaning that jury friendly songs, which aren't plentiful this year, will have a pretty strong head start. For example, Switzerland and France will very likely be top 3 in the jury, and are catering to televote demographics with few entries to choose from. Therefore there's a realistic chance each of them will finish with at least 200 jury points (wouldn't be surprised if either reached the 300 mark, and if both got at least 250). So for a televote bait song to win this year, namely Croatia or Netherlands, it'd have to get at least 350 televote points, in addition to not bombing in the jury and hoping for every single jury friendly song to bomb in the televote. Too many things have to happen in my opinion, so I believe this year's winner won't finish 1st in both categories, possibly not winning any of them, and will rather be a compromise winner with at least 180 jury points and a decent televote. Stranger things have happened though.

The 3 tie win is not just delulu but impossible since the tiebreaker rules they introduce after it happened in the past

I will always be amazed by this. Opinions and tastes are different, but there are also common sense. I hate No rules with all my heart but I understand there are a public for it. I love Zorra but for some people it sound much repetitive and lacks vocals. My favourites remain Zorra, Zari, Europapa and a little behind La Noia, Luktelk and Ulveham. ESC 2024 is great and I listen the official playlist so many times (I skip No rules). If you were a Eurofan, better embrace all type of music genres, costume styles and languages.

The tone of voice she's singing with can come across as a bit harsh, at least in the studio version, and i feel like at least the "northern" half of eurovision countries won't be responding well to that if she's like that live too.

The message above all, what a diva she is, the production, and improving the staging significantly, she will still not win, but it is a song with the message, from a 57-year-old woman, the most powerful I have ever seen. (And I'm not saying this because I'm Spanish).
I am not a Eurofan, and I realize that in recent years, Eurovision has become something, in which if you have a song, with a catchy chorus, even if you repeat it a dozen times, (example, Italy, Croatia , Belgium, Ukraine or Austria) you are already a favorite.
I don't agree at all, Kostis I follow you because I really like you, and you are very impartial whenever I have heard you, other youtubers make me feel sorry for you, honestly.
I am a former vocalist of a Spanish group that no longer exists for a long time.
The juries are not really expert people, and they would have to evaluate the song as a whole, which for me is four things, in this order, the complete package, the originality and message of the song, the staging and production, and Last, yes, the last, the lyric (unless it is a disaster). Televoting is uncontrollable.
My clearest examples this year, although you will SURELY disagree with me, because of your EUROFAN vision, Yes, because of the pack that I mentioned before and the juries will value it this way, The favorites this year to win Eurovision and I repeat as a former vocalist, I I say it, they would be, (the order I put it doesn't matter), which curiously vocally are nothing out of this world, Holland, Greece, Spain, IRELAND and Lithuania, different, fresh, original, (I haven't seen Greece and Holland in direct), in the case of Holland, Spain and Ireland with a tremendous message, I do not judge those of Greece and Lithuania because I do not know their handwriting).
I know that for EUROFAN this is incomprehensible, but I think it should be like this.
And I leave the last one that for me (without liking the song too much, so you can see that I am impartial and speak from experience with music), has EVERYTHING, and that is Switzerland.

I think the Spanish entry this year is one of the most underrated entries in the history of the contest. It is daring, groovy it has a dirty vide and a sticking hook. It is one of my favourites acts this year, and trust me, this year I have plenty of favourites. Now my own unpopular opinions for ESC 2024: Switzerland will not get near the top 3, it certainly will not win, because i think it will score poorly in the public voting. I also think, there is no way France will win this year, for me this entry is not at all a conteder for the win. Israel will struggle to reach top 15, it is being totally overated.

My unpopular opinions/predictions:
-“Liar” by Silia Kapsis has the worst lyrics of this year… Rhyming “Ooh-la-la” with “Truth-la-la” is a low bar. IMO, it’s the 2024 “Bejba”. I think she will qualify but just barely.
-“We Will Rave” by Kaleen will be the shock non qualifier. The Spanish Pre Party performance has me concerned for it. I see her turning out a fantastic performance but her vocals being the issue.
-“Ramonda” by Teya Dora will place top 10. I think it’s going to be the emotional break people need from all the other entries in the final and it represents the struggles that our world is currently facing beyond just Serbia.
-“Pedestal” by Aiko will qualify for the final. I understand people’s concerns from the national final performance, but I believe the revamp and the work Aiko has put into her vocal endurance, will ultimately pay off.
-“Ozünle Apar” by Fahree and Ilkin is a highly underrated song that will surprise the eurofan community in its epicness on the Eurovision stage. It’s not the best song lyrically but it’s got a beautiful instrumental, culturally expressive, and sexy energy.
-We will have no “0” scores in the final this year. The competition is so competitive, varied, and so unpredictable that I believe every country will at least be rewarded some points.
I'll start with your last one and I'll say that I hope so! No-one deserves 0 points this year!!!

Let’s hope. 🤞☺️🤞maybe not an unpopular opinion, but I’m most worried for Germany in that regard - even though I believe that Isaak is a great live vocalist, charismatic artist, and professional performer… I think he will at least get points from the Jury and hopefully a few from televote. We will see. I am so excited!
Also this was a fun video. You should do another one like it after rehearsals… and one more after the final to see if what people think of the end results or if people’s predictions came true.

I laughed... I honestly don't think Switzerland will win... it's too strong a performance and even though everything is perfect it's still not a radio hit... it's not for a party... it's not even for private gatherings... like a song for a showcase of musical excellence... the fight will be fought around 5 countries... Italy, Belgium, Holland, France and Ukraine... I'm a fan of Baby Lasagna, so this is really an honest opinion...
Well I'm pretty sure that the 5 countries that you mentioned will also be contenders for the win!!!
There were many winners in the past that weren’t exactly ‘radio hitsm though…for example: Serbia, Ukraine, Portugal or Vienna. And a lot of runner ups weren’t radio hits in many cases too

Israel will be lucky to qualify, much less make top 10. Ignoring that the song is very meh, 3/4 of the countries participating want isreal banned from ESC, so their jury’s, whether it be for personal reason or to avoid retribution from their own citizens, will give isreal 0 points,
