Making a changing robe | Summer sewing project

Swimming in a lake is great, but there's no changing rooms. So when I spotted someone with a changing robe, I just had to make one! It's pretty straightforward, since it's just a large rectangle of fabric with a neck hole cut into it and sewed closed at the sides.
This is a very simple sewing project, great for beginners. I sewed it up in the morning and went swimming that same afternoon!

Cape sleeves (half-circle) would be perfect for this. More room and more coverage. We may see something from the side through those large sleeve holes.

Brilliant! I've been thinking of making something like this so this is excellent timing. Though I might wait until I have an overlocker because I can't really face all the zig-zagging on fluffy material...

Yeah I get that. Even with the overlocker my floor and sewing table were covered in fluff when I was done... Very useful project though!
