If they decide they want to change, they will work towards that change. And encouragement to try things they want to but are intimidated to do is good.
But deciding that someone isn't doing well enough cause they aren't the same as you is bad.

@@scarfstrings.134 I get what youre saying, but again, everyone is made different, and those same rules dont apply to neurodivergent people, Its supposed to be symbolic of how if someone who is ND is happy it isnt a bad thing and in some cases can be beneficial for the people around them (Neddie sucking the tree gives the prune juice to the community, i dont have an exact 1:1 analogy for that in the real world but still)
Hell yeah PB and Marcy have history and it's probably my favorite story in the whole show aside from Simon and Betty's story

To clear up any confusion about Marceline’s forms. It’s basically shapeshifting. That’s why she was able to copy the varmints form in her arm after watching them for a while
I don't think they explored it enough, but I think they were going for "Cherry Cream Soda wants a simple life with her husband and Root Beer Guy's dreams went against that". A simple life was never enough for Root Beer Guy, he wanted a dangerous job and to be a hero. He got his chance to be a hero when he died saving the candy kingdom. She can't fault him for saving the kingdom, she knows he made the "right" choice, but she never wanted to be married to a hero who makes the "right" choices.
CCS mourned him when he died, but because he died, she was never allowed to be angry at him, angry for putting being a hero before their life together. So he comes back and she can finally stop mourning him and be angry, breaking up with him like she would have done if he had come back a hero the first time. They're quite literally soul mates, so she gives him another chance.
@@Skana that and she was remarried already, she had to be feeling all kinds of mixed emotions when the man she spent so long mourning showed up a few months after her new marriage started. I have no idea what I’d do in that situation
@@bluegirl278 I kind of got the sense that she was using Starchy as an excuse to say no. Starchy tried to take advantage of her depression and courted her while she was grieving. I think she knew what Starchy was doing but she wanted to move on so she went along with it in the hopes that it would help her move on. Her plan was not successful because she and was still mourning RBG for the entirety of their three month marriage/relationship.
So assuming she knew Starchy tried to take advantage of her grieving, that she didn't really love him, and that the purpose of the marriage was just a failed attempt to move on, when RBG came back she just used the marriage as an excuse to say no.
That makes a lot of sense.
PB didn't have to leave the Kingdom. It's a monarchy. She built the place, created the citizens. It's her home, and they are her people, and it's not a democracy. She didn't have to leave if she didn't want to, but she did, ergo, she quit.
Cherry Cream Soda did nothing wrong. Root Beer Guy died. It was over in every sense and CCS had to grieve for an amount of time and tried to move on. Even got a rebound husband. She finally decided to move on and look forward by burying her mementos of RBG. Then he comes back as a LITERAL UNDEAD candy zombie and is expected to just go back to him? Snuff that shizz. "Til death do us part." it was over. She was justified.
I love that CCS gets back with RBG (they were literally made for each other) but the anger at the fact people EXPECT her to just drop everything and get back with him was just uncalled for. Saying she was wrong for her decision, given her circumstances, is just a bad take.
I mean, I get the confusion because she was sad about him being gone, then he's back and himself and she pushes him away. I would understand if he was like the undead in the pilot episode where they lost their personalities, but it was legitimately him. From his perspective, no time has passed and all of a sudden his wife is distant and wants to leave him. He also approached it well. I'm glad she decided to give him a chance at the end.
It's also doubly fucked because she kicks him out of the house and Starchy was harassing him, but I understand she was in shock.
Despite the huge hate for PB. I really like her character. They turned her into from a disney princess to a dictator with complex characteristics. She's not my favorite, but she sure is interesting. I really enjoy the flawed characters of this show, reasons why I will always love adventure time.

I absolutely love princess Bubblegum as a character, but she's just a horrible person. If you don't think she is, you're kinda missing the point of her character IMHO. The fact that she's willing to do straight up evil shit to protect her kingdom is one of the main things that makes her character so compelling.
1. I am all for PB's character development throughout the seasons and love her as a character, but finding every excuse to ignore the insane things she's done isn't right, especially using her apology to Marcy as a "see? she apologized! No more PB hate" moment when she literally only apologized for that specific thing related to her relationship with Marcy. Some people dislike her for that very fact.
2. When Root Beer Guy saved the Candy Kingdom, he *DIED*. That is where his relationship with Cherry ended. She grieved over him, eventually married a new guy, and after a couple months, finally buried RBG's remains and put herself on the road to moving on. Expecting her to just leap back into a relationship with him when he randomly shows up on her doorstep (as a sentient zombie no less) is INSANE.
well, I've seen a loooot of people shoot her for things out of place, like she wants Neddy ONLY to use his juice as fuel, I mean, wtf with that conclusion.

She's already shook by him just BEING there, and then he starts accidentally breaking everything. I think her mind had been reeling since he showed up and just exploded in that moment.

Like I personally think pb is really messed up but I still like her as a character like she spies on everyone and only stops because she caught same with flame princess she experiments with life which I think people push that off as not a bad thing because it's so normalized in show but she does really messed up stuff with her people but even then I still like her as a character

I have seen many comment on her "flaws", and honestly, it is like the vast majority completely forget the good things she has done, or the reasons for the questionable things =^
@@exter_princel2376 No i definitely haven't forgotten the good things thats she has done i sad she was a good character, but your just quick to overlook the bads like her basically almost killing the entire flame nation and messing with FP entire life or her commenting mass genocide to robots she created bc they were too violent even tho she created them to be like that and her gaslighting finn for wanting to be with other people even tho she turned him down (and yes i know thats been resolved) and many many more. A lot of her reasoning for doing the things she does is not called for like her saying its for science or wanting to control everything. I know it might seem like i hate PB and all say it again i dont, i think she is a good character and very likeable but hearting people keep saying shes the best character is overdoing it.

Something like this is what I have seen that they do with PB, yes, she has done bad things for various reasons (not only to control in case you ask), but it is as if the rest did not exist for them, you seem not to, but I am talking about those other people

@@exter_princel2376 comparing Mr.Beast to PB does not work here for several reasons, 1: Mr.Beast is an actually person where anything he does has more weight than a cartoon, 2: Mr.Beast doesn't do bad things he genially trys to help people while PB (sometimes) spys and does bad things (EX: FP incident), and 3: people do judge Mr.Beast idk why they do but in Adventure rarely does PB actually get questioned for anything and im still surprised she got away with some things.

offhand summary, the good things she has done outside and inside the kingdom can make up for the bad things of the past, but many simply deny that... yes, I think it would be this.
(yes, she was questioned several times, it is one of the reasons why the citizens voted for her to leave, and if few characters wanted to "punish" her, it was because after all it is her kingdom and if she screws up, it is her problem)
