7 months later and I was able to finally bounce back from the No Funds-19 pandemic and snatch up a Micro...even paid for Next Day Air 🙏🏾(rubs hands together like Birdman)
Just bought a rein micro…I was going to go with modlite but I feel you guys offer a slightly more durable, serviceable, modular product that is easier to configure, a website that is easier to navigate (in my opinion) and at a more reasonable price point.. good on you guys. Keep up the American goodness 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Not to mention their CEO isn't a dick
Just received ours and got it installed. The REIN is so light weight and powerful, we are getting ready to order a few more. Great product guys, thank you.
Thanks for making this video. I was visualizing how the cable was routed for a tight, clean fit from your IG posts.
I've been telling my gf 6" is the industry standard for years...
When they go Jumbo MagLite, they don't go back
Unless it’s 6” in diameter 😅
🤣
😂😂😂😅😢
I just installed my 3.0 and it is the cleanest install ever! This is a great system guys. 👏
I've had a 3.0 for about a month now.. had no idea I could route the cable through the switch ... thx for the video helped me out when I didn't even know I needed it 🤦♂️
Worked like a charm with my new rein 3.0! Thanks, CD!
Just installed my Indiana Whiskey REIN and the adjustability/modularity of the light is amazing. Definitely worth the investment.
I cannot wait for mine to come in! Already love the OWL I got but I think the REIN micro will be a better fit for my DDM4V7P! Looking forward to installing it!
Love the light, the design and forethought that went into it. Just wish it was more white (like the Modlite/SF) than the warm/yellow light output. Fantastic job!
Awesome light control I have the protac with cloud defensive lcs and picking up one REIN for another rifle.👍
These lights are beautiful. Can't wait to save up enough to get one. There is a clear difference between made in America and made elsewhere.
Well, I now have both a REIN and an OWL! Installing the REIN was a pain in the ass rivaled in the gun world only by reassembling a Ruger MkI. Really an epically tedious task. That said I don't expect to have to do it very often, and the resulting layout wound up being excellent. I only just installed the REIN today and haven't used it on the gun for live fire but so far it seems great. It seems to be nearly as overbuilt as the OWL!
Very nice lights thank you for the video
I can really appreciate the thought that you folks put into the system I can't wait to receive mine and play with the setup.
One question I have is: do you recommend or disapprove of using blue loctite for the purpose of mounting the light and switch to the handguard?
I just installed it on my handguard and they spoke frequently of throwing loctite on all screws in the manual.
Awesome. I have an OWL and one of your rails and everything you make is bombproof. Great innovation on your part.
Thank you sir!
Ok I watched this several times trying to figure out my setup… and I just realized, this dude sounds like master ken… oh and that I need a riser for my optic. Haha
This makes more sense now that I've suffered through the process.
2:10 mark "if there's a challenge that comes with it"...my challenge is mounting one on a shotgun; they typically don't have rails or MLOK space Jacob responded to my email within the day and offered a couple suggestions on mounts as he wasn't familiar with mounting on a shotgun. It'll be an experiment and require some fiddling but I'm confident that its a quality product.
Just got my REIN. Very impressed. Thank you. Any recommendations/best practices for cleaning the lens after shooting?
Throw a little chapstick on there before heading out to the range. Wipes right off.
How many picatinny slots are required to mount the tape switch?
Can you show this when mounting to the right side of the handguard? The cable exiting from the bottom of the LCS is offset and favors exiting out of the right side. I can't bend the cable to exit out of the left side without it being excessive.
Can you run the surefire pressure pad with this?
Do most people position the momentary button toward the muzzle or the buttstock of the firearm?
What mount does he have for the light?
What mount is this? I want to get my rain tighter against the hand guard.
How do I mount my rein to an all mlok handguard? I have a mount for the light itself but what about the pressure switch?
What should I do if the polymer side panels on the remote switch have become stretched from being installed/reinstalled in different configurations?
How tight should the remote switch be on the pic rail? Should it be able to be pried off without much strength? Mine was just knocked off during training.
Can’t wait until mine ships.
Can't wait to ship it!
how would you mount the remote switch to M-Lok?
Thanks for the video! Waiting on a micro and pumped. Once you get all your placement figured out, I'm assuming you recommend locktighting all of it?
You could add threadlock but we have not needed it. Use a very very small amount if you do.
@@CloudDefensive Awesome...appreciate the info.
Can I mount this on MLOK only? No Pic rail.
How do I get my tail cap out of the threading? It seems like Ike you guys just pop it out but I can’t for the life of my little fingers get that thing out
The cable is meant to bend to the side out of the bottom of the pressure switch? My cable had a tear in the sheath before I mounted it.
I want this light. But can I use a dual remote to work with my holosun laser and this light so I dont have to run two remote switches like i currently do? Will definitely buy it if I can run a single remote to work with my laser.
Stay tuned.
Had to ream the 1913 mount for my Rein 3.0 myself
I have the owl light . Being 6’8” with basketball hands it works great.
That hurt to watch you cut the wire. haha
Kinda wish that wire was detachable on both ends. Maybe offer different length wires.
Really dropped the ball on my order lmao couldnt mount the switch cause the screws were too short lol
I had a very similar issue. My screws were mismatched with the nuts. The nuts were too large.
Do I need to have an MlOk mount or whatever comes in the box fits?
shipping mount is Picatiny. Youll have to go with an aftermarket Arisaka mount or some other brand for MLOK
They offer m-lok mounts for $45. I just got a pic to mlok adapter. Should have went with a quad rail.
Why is the rein only a weapon light? It seems like an excellent handheld
This would have been a much harder flex, had you snipped that cable when the full kits for both sizes were showing backordered.
can i replace the pressure pad for a different one?
As long as it's Rein compatible you can use one of our new 3rd gen switches.
Or if you have our Rein Legacy body you can use most legacy style switches from other brands, but there will be a loss in output simply due to the fact other switches don't have the output of the full Rein.
I have an aero precision atlas s-one mlock hand guard which doesn’t have the top picatinny rail. Would I be able to install the switch using picatinny rail mounts installed on the side or 10 o’clock position?
Also wondering
@@evann1136 just an fyi, I ended up getting a hand guard with a top picatinny rail lol
Man! This company is so damn legit! Theyve always got my business. Ive got the Rein Micro 2 as well as the first one & the OWL. These lights are imo the best. We needed guys like this un the industry. Awesome job guys! Keep up the good work
Much appreciated. More coming soon.
Do you guys have a page with picture instructions?
Also I just measured I have a 3 inch cable?
Is the remote switch removable?
Yessir
I have every size allen key except a 7/64th..........why god
What offset mount did you use for the light to mount to rail?
Cloud branded Throntail6 mount. haleystrategic.com/shop/hard-goods/illumination-tools/thorntail6-mlok
@@556ChannelHD dude, awesome! Been looking for this exact info for days now since ordering my REIN. Ordered mine the 4th and my order has already been fulfilled so hopefully looking at about 2 weeks at most. Mount will come much sooner as the Thorntail 2 was in stock. Thanks for the info!
At the start of the video you say you need a 7/16 inch socket a few minutes later you say you need a 7/64 inch socket …. which is it ?
Elzetta has had redundancy in the tape switch for years and years.
I really wished the nuts came preinstalled in the retaining bracket…
I'm just sad that you didn't finish the bourbon.
If only the switch could be mlok mounted
I wouldn’t buy a surefire because I think they’re way overrated. Wouldn’t buy modlite because it’s ridiculously expensive but damn I’m buying the REIN and the OWL to replace my stream lights no doubt
It would be a whole lot funnier drinking that glass of bourbon prior to the instal
RIP tail switch…
Horrible camera angle. Could barely see before cutaway to speaker
This was PAINFUL to watch!!
