- Hard work is the fundamental factor in success on the homestead. I needed to get the snowplow mounted and working on the tractor before the snow got too deep on the road. I paid $175 for this plow and I worried if it would work on my tractor without too many repairs.

A Lot, Different from moving Dirt, To Snow. Hard Work Is What Your About. At least You Have Something To Show For All Hard Work. Your Red Poppy Ranch. Is Awesome.
Thanks Pete!
I know the snow and ice must get tedious, but there has to be something wonderful about living somewhere that has actual seasons.
I agree... The snow and ice keeps the flatlanders away...
Shows what can be done with a oxygen acetylene torch along with a light duty flux core. And a little tradesman mentality. 🇺🇸 good stuff right there!
I live in Texas. You can't swing a cat without hitting someone with a welder !
However the REAL skill you display is your creativity. Nicely done, sir; nicely done.
Thanks John!
My father was a farm machine welder for 17 years. He is in his late 70's now and this video reminded me of what growing up on the farm was like. He could fix anything... when you have to get the job done to feed the family and you don't extra $$$ you find a way to make it work.
It's too bad people have forgotten that attitude... I would bet your father has forgotten more than most people will ever learn!
I do appreciate the use of lock nuts. 99% of the time I use 'em in places I probably don't need to, but I don't like stuff coming apart when I don't want it to, either. Good video!
Just a note from a old oilfield hand. The pipe with an upset on each end is production tubing not casing. It really doesn’t matter what you call it because you do good fabrication. Okie
Well done! Your strength is in The Lord, but he has blessed you with the creativity to work through just about anything. Keep up the great work my man.
Thanks!
Excellent video. Well put together and the point was made without any dialogue.
On another note, being a jack of all trades is a lifestyle in of itself. I truly admire this type of creativity. Thank you for the video.
Thank you Joe.
Metal fabrication skills have served you well in this endeavor
Nice - And a coat or 2 with paint will help the snow sliding of the surface.......
Wow haven't been in your channel for a awhile, I come back and the video production has gone WAY up! Nicely done, inspiring!
I'm trying... The next few videos should be pretty cool.
Being able to fabricate goes a long way in life!
Agreed!
Great job hard work always pays off.
Nice job.
Great job, super resourceful. You are very inspirational Loving what you are doing. Most of all love your reasons.....Love my family!
Thanks Dustin!
The versatility of your videos is amazing, you are one quite handy dude. I have been watching videos from your channel for a couple/few hours now and am amazed. Best wishes to you and your family. Have subscribed, looking forward to watching your progress the rest of the year.
Thanks for watching.
Awesome job done ✅
Brilliant idea.
Nice! Yes, it seems inevitable that if you have a tractor, there will inevitably be a need to weld. God bless!
Thank you!
That's a very nice job you've done. Very creative!
Great job!
Very smart guy great job
Nice work!
music Is haunting and very cool for winter use.....
Have you given any thought to asking your uncle if you could put an 6" or 8" pipe into his creek and pipe it across the road into a pond that you will need to dig. That would give you the water needed for your animals. Just my 2 cents worth, by the way were you able to get the excavator?
And I think that skill is a "can do" attitude
Love that creative approach ---very good job.
Awesome! Thanks for making this video.
yes I agree.....!
Great job
Thanks!
Very well done
Brilliant!
Please get a guard for your angle grinder
Have you considered building a drag blade with a 24 inch extension on the right side to assist in getting the snow further away from the road?
I'm actually looking at one exactly like that. I'm also considering buying a plow truck
Hi. Looks like the video jumps some of the attachment fabrication from 3:15 to 3:22. Any chance to add a few photos of the missing points? I am looking to do something similar and would like to glean some ideas. Thank you.
Great video! Common sense, problem solving and critical thinking are all things that have been lost lately. I'm very thankful for CZcams, I can do research and learn a skill I don't know. But back in my father, grandfather and beyonds time they didn't have this luxury. My grandfather called it Yankee ingenuity. He tried the pass that on to me. Now that I'm 40, I'm beginning to see the benefits and trying to make the shift of doing things myself and not hiring someone to do it for me. It saves me money, I feel better about myself for learning something new and later down the road someone will need help and I'll be able to help them from the skills I've learn. It's a win/win/win. Keep up the great video. I just found your channel, you've gained a new sub.
P.S. What were you listening to around the 1:20 mark? I saw your earbuds in and I was just curious.
Thanks Ken. I always listen to podcasts while working. Keeps my brain on track. I was probably listening to Meateater or Radiolab or something... The ability to think through something and figure it out and maybe even improve it along the way is probably one of the more fulfilling things a person can do. Keep it up!
nice job
Cool video👍
Hats off, awesome job!
Thank you!
I guess nobody mentioned that you could head South and say 'screw it', as many of have done.
Just found your channel and love. live the dream brother! live the dream:)
I like to show you a video if i may.that i put a snow blower on my n9 ford tractor that runs off the pto in back..its better than a plow. But i cant send a video on here
great job!!
Very nice job I have one concern are the 4 bolts hardened bolts that bolt it to the tractor? I am afraid they may fracture with all the force. Other then that you have very nice skils
They are grade 5. I also considered grade 8 but I hoped that 5 would be ok. We will see...
Now you have one less piece of equipment requiring maintenance, taking up space, and costing insurance. Well done.
What kind of tractor is that? It looks really handy for acreage work!
Outstanding! did you finalize the deal and moved the Case Excavator?
I can't decide. I'm worried it might be too big of a project
cool
👍
Hello, What brand is your plow? Look's like the same make and color I have on my Funk 8N.
Thank's
What did that blade come off of ?
Question: Do you harden the bent steel when you cool it off with snow?
Not enough...
Why do you play the end of the world MUSIC??
hey did you ever buy that drot excavator?
No but I'm still considering it.
Grade 8 bolt?
5... may be an issue
Your tractor is almost as ugly as mine. You got to love an ugly tractor you know they work.
Nice job
Just found your channel and love. live the dream brother! live the dream:)
Thank you!
