So delighted that you love my videos and found them helpful. Thank you so much for your comment and your generous support😊🙌
Do you know what kind of soil the seeds go in? Potting soil? Seed Starting soil? Or what
I started the seeds in seed starting mix. But cucumbers can be started directly in potting mix too. Thanks for visiting.
Your gardening style is so tidy love it ! You make it very simple!
So glad to hear it. Thank you so much for your comment!😊

Thanks for sharing. I like the idea for the trellis. I grew cucumbers in a 18 gallon tote last year and wish I had the trellis idea. You make it look so easy. Happy Gardening :)

Very detailed and easy to follow ! thanks :) I have to cut my weaker seedling with a scissor ...in no way I am as skilled as you lol
Cutting with scissors is actually much easier and safer for seedlings, great idea! Thank you so much for your comment!

Hi! Love all of your videos. The cucumber plants in your video, am I seeing it right that you only grow them single stem/the main one and pinched off all suckers/auxilary stems? Thank you.
I only remove first few leaves and side shoots when plants are young. Otherwise I let suckers grow and produce more fruits. This variety usually start developing suckers when plants are mature. If you notice toward the end of the video, the vines are more crowded. Hope this helps and thank you so much for your comment!
Hi, I’m new at this so I’m waiting for four small plants from a nursery so how do I know when the cucumbers should be harvest? When the small flower dries up or when they’ve grown some? Thanks, I loved your video!
Thanks for video. What do use for your mulch?
Thank you so much. I use Kellogg organic Garden soil or Gromulch.
I love your videos. Can you use this method for poinsett cucumbers?
So glad you love my videos! The planting method is same. But if I am not wrong the Poinsett variety flowers are not self pollinating and need pollination to set fruit. Having bee-loving flowers around the plants will help pollinations. Hope this helps and thank you so much for your comment!😊
When the best time seeding cucumber and zucchini fc from Canada love your videos and thank you 😊
It depends on your local weather. It is better to start seeds when night temperatures are consistently above 55°F (13°C). I'd say for cold winters, April-June is good. Happy growing and thank you so much for your comment!😊
Are the seeds you use organic
I don't think so. But I grow them organically😁. Thanks for visiting!
I enjoy your videos. Why are some of them curved, and can we still eat them?
Glad you enjoy the videos. The fruits will have different shape due to watering or weather conditions. They are totally fine and will taste as regular ones. Thank you very much for your comment!
Any favorite cucumber recipes? If so, please do share link(s).
Cucumber recipe? They barely make it to our kitchen, just enjoy them fresh😄
You have fungicide and pesticides on your Amazon page. I hope you share your experience with each plant varieties in which you have to or not to use those chemicals to keep the plants pest free.
I 'll try to post a video on few pest and pest control methods. thanks.
@@TowardGarden I'm glad that we are both in Zone 9b. From my understanding, it's too late for us to plant cool season flower seeds and cool season crop seeds/bulbs. But there may still be a chance for tomato, summer squash, and pumpkins. I hope you will make a chart date of when you plant seeds for summer crops and seeds for spring crops. For example, I learned that viola seeds can be planted 3 months before bloom date. For example Black Devil Pansy seeds can be planted in July for October bloom AND Bunny Ears viola seeds can be planted in January for Easter bloom.
I would like to know why you have to thin out to one strongest seedling per pot? Can you not plant both?
The small pots have room for only one seedling to develop and mature. For some seedlings, it is possible to separate them and replant in another pots, but that is not recommended for cucumbers since they have very sensitive roots and usually don't do well with pricking out. You want to avoid disturbing roots. You still can keep and plant both but they will not grow to their best. Hope this helps and thank you for visiting!
1/2" drill bit? 2 holes length, 1 hole width? 7 holes center?
Correct!
I wonder if growing English cucumber, only 1 plant per tote?
You still can have at least 2 plants per totes.
How many times a week do you watering your cucumbers?
Since our summers are hot and dry, I water them daily. But if you check the soil and it is wet, skip watering. And more leaves they grow, more water is needed. Hope this helps and thanks for getting in touch!
Assisto seus vídeos, parecem bons, mas não são traduzidas para o português como alega ser .sucesso nesta caminhada ! Dtna MG Brasil
Thank you for watching the videos from Brasil.👋 Sorry, I don't have the subtitles to be translated to portuguese yet, but that is something I will have to work on. Thank you so much for your comment!
Do you need to remove the first buds even when you live in a milder climate? It shortens the flowering time.
it helps plants establish roots more faster and be more resistant to disease. 2-3 less fruits is minimal comparing to tens you will harvest in many weeks. it is totally up to you . Thanks for visiting.
Is that 4 ft wide welded wire the same the the 4" x 4" on your Amazon page?
Not exactly the same but it is very similar. It will work same as the one in the video. thanks.
@@TowardGardenI wonder if I can get the bendable 4"x4" bendable wire from HD like the bamboo poles
Can I transplant the other seedling instead of thinning it out?! Beginner gardener here 🌱
Plants such as cucumbers, squash, pumpkins... have very sensitive roots and don't do well when seedlings roots are being disturb. If you are super careful, they may thrive, but if you don't want to waste any seedlings, sow individually in extra pots. Hope this helps and thank you for visiting.
@@TowardGarden thanks so much for the help! Love and appreciate your channel
Glad to be of any help😊
Hello do you use chermical fertilizer???
Hello. Not chemical. But I use organic fertilizer. It has 3-4-4 NPK ratio with 8% calcium and is derived from feather meal, bone meal, alfalfa meal,…(Check Garden-tone). Thank you for visiting.
