Cool
@PixalatedApollo
If I want to start playing this type of games, do you recommend playing this game as a beginner or which one will you recommend?
If you’re interested in expanding your knowledge on the topic of native depopulation in the colonial period. Guns, germs, and steel is a good read.
@@maximomartin2529😮, dg,😊
Facts
Drummer Squad - greatly increases moral for units nearby, like a general. Also useful for melee too, when in a pinch.
If the drummer is is still playing everything is fine.
And in real life, drummer, fife and flagmen were the communication elements on the battlefield, taking them out would greatly disrupt battlefield cohesion.
@@BushyBanana-6969but we could have multiple to properly communicate
Thank you. For posting this I’m really missing American battles, like this.
Its so nice to see these long and complex battles play out. They're so immersive, its like you're watching a proper historic movie.
Empire 2: Generals is looking PHENOMENAL these days. Big shoutout to Siberian for his perseverance. I know first hand how hard that man has worked to get us here.
The new games being made really dont have the cappacity for this level of epicness! Modders can and do constantly make better games with older material than the new games wish they could make!
I have been watching for close to 6 years now. I am in the middle of my final exams and I look forward to every evening, watching an EPIC battle! keep being the best strategy content creator!
Best of luck bro!
Really glad you enjoy The SFX I produced.
I Updated them though. And I also did a Cinematic of this very same battle.
Thank you so much, for pointing out!
Btw, all the sound effect credits go to Tonnes! He deserves a huge shout out for his work.
Thank you very much, friend!
I catually updated them a lot. currently featured in Empire II
Napoleon, being newer than Empire, has much more neat VFX, and others things... but If there IS one thing that Empire does better, is the artillery; how frustrating is in Napoleon use a huge battery on one unit and kill 4 while 20 are getting up after the hit.
It’s a well-known fact of the Napoleonic Wars that cannons were primarily used to send enemy troopers a few feet in the air to displace them from their formations, not to kill them. That would be extremely rude.
Love them both but hate that the newer Napolean is disk only. I still have the disk somewhere, but my CPU doesnt have a disk drive lol
@@a-10warthog78 lmao
@@marinewillis1202 it's on steam
@@marinewillis1202 CPUs don't have disk drives though? What do you mean? Does your chassis not have a space for it? Does you motherboard not have a port for it?
For a bit more context, we (Franco-Americans) had to take the house on the hill or the fort in order to win the LOC
great job with the mod Siberian!
@@lloyd9500 thank you!
@@thesiberianproductions3748 hello what is the map in the video its name? Or is it a costom one?
It's a custom map called Torgau
@@thesiberianproductions3748thank you for your reply! Can I download it, or is it in the 3,4,4 hotfix ? Im currently installing that one right now.
Amazing battle Apollo! Love the empire/napoleon content, and American battles are some of my favorites!
I don't know if the British used their cavalry too well or on the contrary the US and French players were too bad at reacting to cavalry charges; but it was a pretty entertaining battle to watch, more content of this type is needed.
OG Empire and Napoleon don't have that crackle of musketry. This does and it adds so much to the authenticity.
We all miss these glorious battles. Thank you.
vive la pixillated appolo
Makes me think of that mel gibson movie based on the revolutionary war. Great battle apollo really enjoyed it!
Twas a good one. My History teacher showed us the trailer in 7th grade.
It's called "The Patriot" in case you'd like to know
Great battle and video. You're right about many of the tribes on the Plains also. The Comanche down in Texas virtually genocided the Apache before the Americans showed up.
Well the Comanche did the same to the apache with the help of the Spanish.
Ah yes… Empire, again, FINALLY!! Keep up the great work dude!
Absolutely epic video! I'd love to see some more Empire on your channel again (if you feel like it, of course).
The flag they chose for the American units is called the Bennington Flag, which allegedly first appeared at the 1777 Battle of Bennington in New York. It would be cool if each unit could have a flag specific to their state of origin, but perhaps ETW does not have those capabilities.
I don't know why someone would want to play war hammer when you could play this. This just looks so amazing, its also a plus seeing American units
L comment
I mean, the amount of people that are enthusiastic about 18-19th century black powder wars and history overall isn't that big sadly, so I guess that's why Warhammer is so popular. Although I do agree with you, that looks phenomenal. If we ever get Empire 2 / Napoleon 2 with actually good AI and graphics then I won't ever demand anything else from CA to be honest, I'll just play that game for years.
That last second volley was NASTY, absolutely unreal how cinematic that was
I really wish recent TW games had battles this grand.
I get what you mean with the cannon sounds. I live near a historical battle site myself (Greatbridge) and they've cone re-enactments with cannons. such magnificent sounds
Wow what a great Battle time flew by so fast
36:05
@PixelatedApollo1 : REEEEEEERRR!
Awesome battle, thank you Apollo!
26:07 "THINK, George, THINK!"
Apollo really was glad to get out the native american tangent.
The natives in this mod should be a British unit. The natives fought against the colonists and the french.
@@RedMojaveBraveUSMC pretty much
@@RedMojaveBraveUSMC They fought on both sides didn't they?
@@derth9230yes , and they were ultimately the losers for the war
Love your work mate but I'd suggest some caution about how you discuss "natives" in this video. A few things made me cringe a bit. This isn't coming from a point of view of condemnation, it's obvious your a cool guy, just thought I'd give you a heads up. As I'm sure you know the history is very painful and complicated still for allot of indigenous people. I'm an Australian aboriginal person but some things translate globally. Anyway, no harm done. Keep up the good work! Absolute banger of a battle :)
Pixie is right though, a new gun oriented "realistic" RTS with mod support to change everything from models and animations would CLEAN UP. Can't wait for this to become a reality.
I heard about a game called ultimate general, and one of the devs is the famous darth vader the lead modder from darthmod. Its too expensive for me and ny student budget but maybe you like it
Yes! I've been eagerly awaiting this video!
It would be great if you tried out Field Commander Napoleon! (Mod for NTW, obviously)
Love your humor and attention to detail Pixie. Your one of my favorite CZcamsrs.
Please, upload these more often. Empire with this mod - the best type of content, in my humble opinion.
Ready for another a
Awsome match
This is more like it. Loved this battle and the sound of the volleys and artillery. More of this Apollo!
These massive battles are so entertaining. Love watching players go head to head, it’s almost like watching a game of chess.
You can tell pixie is still mad about pharaoh.
Fun Fact: The French often had to Use Blue Combat flags, as the Royal Standard was confused for sign of Surrender.
Lobster backs wasn’t used until the war of 1812
Boy I miss these
Love your content deserved

If CA remasters Empire with extra features and new UI, with a couple more new units, that’s what consumers would buy
24:08 when video games turn into movie scenes.
The guns and cannons sound incredible!!! 😳
Glad your making more empire videos apollo! Also, what does this mod have to do with Empire 2? Is it a submod for empire 2 or a standalone game?
It is stand alone. I'm the lead on this mod (Empire 2 Generals), and I also contribute to the Empire II mod. This started off as a multiplayer focused development for Empire II but ended up becoming stand alone as it changed too much stuff. I still work on both mods though.
Daaaamn! What a replay..
I could watch your videos on Empire & NTW3 everyday honestly.
Keep it up bro
It’d be cool to see a 4v4 where one player does all rifleman, one does all cav, 1 does all artillery and probably cav or minutemen because that would be too much artillery lol. And one guy maybe fills in the rest idk
This type of battle is called subcommanders. Personally it's not my favorite but it's been done
Oh this is so Epic. I cannot believe I haven't played this yet!! thanks for this awesome video.
*in depth talk about Native Americans*
“OH MY GOSH! We got a big cav engagement”
7:48 seems to be “volt-ee-zher”
24:40 Battle of Hastings should've taught the British not to do that lol
Guyssss im so excited to pay full price for a reskin dlc for troy AT FULL PRICE, Whoooooo!!! Cant wait to play a game in a setting that i didnt ask for!!! Going to beeee LIT!!!!
(Cries in historical tears!)
Roast beef in air fryer is so fucking good lol
The reason this mod is so much better than a lot of games we see nowadays is because an independent developer put genuine value into this piece. Unlike these big cooperations
Bro I’m begging you to do another call to Arms story
Tennessee wasn’t a colony during the war…but men of that State, beginning with the War of 1812 have Volunteered to fight for the US in great numbers all the way thru the World Wars
Altho many of them fought on the wrong side during the CW, they were steadfast soldiers
That french soldier got yeeted by the cav charge in 19:58
Keep doing u man u doing good
Speaking of legends this video is sponsored by RAID SHADOW LEGENDS
Native french speaker here! Voltigeurs is pronounced "Vol-Tee-djers" but you take out the "d" sound. Hope that helps :)
Yes! More ETW!
Definitely needing to see more of this mod!!
I firmly believe that we should atleast get this game remastered. HD textures and more detail weapons
"This guy looks so French - He's French." Lmao! Native tributes - the US Army also names its helicopters after native tribes.
I don't think anyone in the continental army saw SW: Episode III. Either that or their general is Jar Jar Binks...
It's particularly interesting to note that the British perform best when acting similar to their historical counterparts, and the Americans likewise.
Historically, the British during the American War of Independence quickly became notorious for their speed, aggression, and high morale. They would use these superior attributes to drive their opponents from the field at the tip of a bayonet.
The Americans, by contrast, learned to counter this with a strategy of defense in depth, making use of their own advantage in range, accuracy, and manpower.
In this scenario, we see the British perform best when acting aggressively, and we see the Americans perform best when acting defensively.
I definitely want more of this, it's so good.
Phenomenal as always❤
Yessss!! Apollo is with us!!! We got a videooooo
Yes! We want moooooooorrrre empire!!
There is something about American history I just love
9:10 ultra based Apollo as usual
I have never heard anyone call them "Lobsters" before. To me they were always the Red coats.
So what mod is this? Been many years since i last played empire. Whats the best, or a couple of the best, polished, most feature complete mods?? Ive not followed modding for empire at all, so ive no clue what to try. All advice is greatly appreciated 😊.........
Finally a video, and a great one at that! (at least so far lol). Excited much for Manor Lords?
You know , i thought with the new "update" that the older TW games would be broken from using the mods
But im glad , we are BACK !
The British are coming My brethren Run😨😫
24:15 Don't fire till you see the whites of their eyes lol
“An absolute legend“
*points at Npc*
😂
great battle loved this
35:35 Look at that battlefield there. It looks like an actual battle took place. You can look at the ground and determine what took place.
0:25 I would love to drive around this kind of area, or live in this area, or just simply explore that whole area.
30:10 Tennessee wasn't even a thing yet until 1795 lol
I only found it recently that my mother’s father was full blooded Cherokee. And love the battles where the us is in
Great battle, this is what the current TW are missing. Tennessee was not a colony at the time so they wouldn't be there
Wow CA doing such a good job...entire creative team got retrenched come Monday...😂
More of Empire 2! These battles sound so much better than NTW3
we also need more napoleon and empire vids they are just so satisfying and interesting.
This is a proper epic battle
Empire II would have to have sea born landings in support of a already present ground force would be amazing
@PixalatedApollo
If I want to start playing this type of games, do you recommend playing this game as a beginner or which one will you recommend?
We need more!
Ho boy. Cancelled in 3...2...1 RIP Bro, lol.
Listening to Apollo bash CA with just pure facts warms my heart
Even after his french lessons, Apollo still can´t speak french. Maybe there is some kind of "french military words during the 18th and 19th century" class for him.
The noise from these battles had to been intense. There was no standard issue ear protection, so cotton balls covered in petroleum jelly was used a lot. There are also accounts that ive read that have described men shoving dirt into their ears during artillery barrages. Even still, after the civil war the government finally recognized hearing loss as a form of combat disability. Therefore we are able to see that 1/3 of all veteran servicemen from the Civil war had documented hearing loss, partial and/or complete. And thats just all the people we have records of. Im sure 1/3 of the entire army with hearing loss is a very low figure.
Please tell me someone is going to port over these sounds and effects to empire 2 mod
I actually did, and also fixed some stuff, aswell reworked/added some SFX.
@@TonnesStudiou are the goat buying u a coffee ☕️
The bannerlord people should make a game in this setting I'm pretty sure it would turn out gnarly
Makes me want to play empire again. Great video 👍
