    Amazing review Brotha! Thank you for the honesty!

    Thanks for your honest review. I waited for these to drop and ordered in December as soon they were available and man was I disappointed. I saw so many reviews raving about these clippers. I did find that the snag a lot on course or curly hair (90% of my clients). I contacted stylecraft the day I received them with my concerns and they wanted me to go through warranty and pay addition money to have them checked out. Even with straight hair, I find the look of the bend to be choppy. I switched to a Wahl wedge blade and it it much better, but the loudness of the clipper and actual performance is sub-par for me. I'm such an Andis masters barber

    my man, order yourself that new deep-tooth cutting blade from stylecraft/gamma and toss it on your ergo. Game changer, you wont have any issues with bulk removal. It's a little less torque then the rebel, but it definitely transforms the clipper. Try the rebel cutter on the ergo for reference, as they're the same cutter.

    • @TRAVELBARBERLIFE
      @TRAVELBARBERLIFE  Před 2 lety +1

      I’ll have to try it. I see the difference in the cutting blade now. That might eliminate my need for the rebel.

      @@TRAVELBARBERLIFE The slim deep tooth cutting blade will definitely help with the bulk cutting. But the Rebel still has more torque and power than the Ergo. The Ergo magnetic motor moves very fast at 10,000 rpms but doesn't necessarily cut bulk better. The rebel motor moves at 7200 rpms but has more torque which will clear bulk the best. But obviously its all up to personal preference.

    @MMA BARBER LIFE bro ofcourse it's going to rattle you literally just said in your video that the blades on your clippers are zero gapped to the max that rattling noise your hearing when the clipper is in the lever closed position is the cutting blade teeth eating away at the teeth of your guards.

    Nice review on the rebels. Why dont you use them on black clients? I felt like the rebels cut smoother & faster on my black clients than my seniors did. Straight hair all day. Only thing I'm trying to get use to, is the fade blade. Noise level of the rebels is not to bad. My FX trimmers sound louder. The on/off switch studders sometimes when turning on, just like FX trimmers do sometimes. Thanks for the tip on guards, andis mags pick up more hair cause of the amount of teeth. Haven't used SC dubs yet, waiting on broken replacements.

    • @TRAVELBARBERLIFE
      @TRAVELBARBERLIFE  Před 2 lety +1

      I don’t like them because they don’t pick up hair that well imo! Your FX trimmer sounds like it needs a new cam follower or new blade.

    I was looking into mixing blades etc on clippers.
    And I’m not a professional but I have a dumb question to ask here .
    If cutting longer hair or even I guess fairly short cuts, why not use dog clippers?
    I checked them out and they are always rated to cut hair faster and with way more torque and less heating up issues and also quiter. So they seem like upgrades all around. People complain about loud hot clippers and issue with thick hair . Yet the way dog clippers are designed by wahl and andis, they take care of these issues .
    They can also come with longer guards if need be if someone doesn’t want to use scissors. Also their blades are sharper according to wahl.
    So I know it sounds ultra silly to consider but I did see some people saying the clippers made for dogs actually cut good on people when they tried . They are different types of clippers for different coats but some dogs do have hair like people and it just made me wonder what the true setback would be. It seems they are an upgrade on all fronts unless you’re going for a very short cut maybe. Even then, they probably do the job
