I am glad I wasn't the only one that had issues with the guards when fading. The flatness of the guards and the long teeth made it difficult. I couldn't gauge how high I was going because of the long teeth.
I like using the SC guards to take down the bulk, especially using the guards with the Wahl fade blade. I prefer using the Wahl and Baybliss guards for fading.
Yeah even though I saw a lot of creators talk about how amazing the guards are I realized some people really donât like them haha. I actually didnât think about using the SC guards to take our bulk instead, Iâll definitely have to give it a shot!
Appreciate your feedback!
Good to know!
The go-to clipper! Just got my sabers in and dropping a review soon! Dangerous combination đ
How do you use the stretch bracket I donât know how to apply it to my steps
I agree about the guards, so I just used my wahl premiums, problem solved.
Did you dislike them for the same reason? Or something else?
I like the stylecraft double magnet guards.
Which guards can be used at the Rebel?
Nice job đ I like my rebels and the dub magnet guards that come with them... I just had to replace my sprig because it broke and my rebels were getting to loud...
I have the Alpha 2.0 which for me is a detail clipper due to the blade one side has a fade master blade and the lever side is a bit smaller for taking out lines
mine broke seems the lever screw wont unscrew tighten or loosen it just moves left or right.I love them clippers!
Gamme/Rebel vs Babyliss FX? I am in debate about buying one of them
Can anybody tell me why the lever screw keeps unscrewing ??
I absolutely love my rebels!. I have always used the wahl premium guards.
Still my go to clippers! And as with the wahl guards, thereâs a reason theyâve been a classic for so long!
I am just starting and I wanted to ask which clipper should I buy ? I deciding between frsh fade JRL 2020c , Babyliss low pro and Stylecraft rebel. I heard a lot of people that complain about the switch click and about the guards of rebel. So which would you recommend?
While there have been slight problems with the switch (StyleCraft sends you a new one if that happens), and I donât LOVE the guards myself; I would say itâs the best choice. For the price, youâre getting premium guards (which you would otherwise have to pay separately to buy with other clipper companies), you also get a charging stand, multiple colour options, and the option to put a stretch bracket on the clipper. I love the LoPro as well and have both on my station, but the rebel is the clipper I keep going back to for majority of my haircuts. Itâs a great all around clipper that can get anything done. If I had to pick one clipper to do a whole haircut with it would be the rebel.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
I have the jrl onyx, the new matte black babyliss lithium fx, rebel, caliber 50 cal limited edition and my favorite is my jrl and the rebel coming in a close second. I put the 3versince ceramic staggertooth cutting blade with the jrl taper blade on the onys and it pumps out the softest fades Iâve ever done. But on the rebels I like the way the motor feels in my hands and how lightweight it is. My least favorite is the caliber, I put a super thin fade blade on it that I grinded down to make thinner to take out bald lines and and to give me another transition from trimmer line to clipper closed line.
I got some 1st gen Caliber .50âs with a fade blade & Ooooooooo Weeeeeeee, these things replaced my 5 Star Seniors, FastFeeds w/the Ceramic Blade & Hawk Edition FXs. Iâll still use the FX for soft fades, but when I want the client to have that WoW Factor, Iâve found that these 4yr old clippers are like LIGHTSABERSâŠ.!!! 6/10 when it comes to wet bulk, but Iâve got Octanes or the FX for that! Great vid bro..!!
I've heard a lot of great things about the caliber line up, but haven't gotten the chance to try them out yet. I'm going to look into grabbing one and will be sure to drop a review on it. Have you tried the new versions? if so, how was your experience with them?
@@ramtincutz I have not tried any of their newer clippers, but I do have a set of the Monster99 Trimmers. Once I quickly Zero Gapped em, they're lasers too. The Monster99's were around $90 when I got them. They look super average but have a 4hr battery life. I forgot to mention, the 1st gen .50 Cals are the quietest clipper I've ever witnessed. My most loyal clients will fall asleep to the Humm. As much as I wanted to get newer versions or the 50 cal BGM..... mine work so good, I never needed a reason to "upgrade"... ya know?
@@11buttnaked fair enough man! Thanks for the input I appreciate it, Iâm gonna do some research and see what I should cop!
I came from the wahl seniors, the rebel is way better. I stil use the wahl guards, but for debulk the style craft are better and for taking out lines use the wahl guards .5 , 1, 1.5, and 2.
These sometimes be pulling people hair, like certain people hair when I try to fade with it, do u know why?
Personally, Iâve never had this issue with the Rebels. What I would recommend as the first option would be to take off the blade and deep clean the clipper, and to oil it once you put it back together. Let me know if that fixes the issue!
how are you using the stretch bracket with the clics on the lever ?
I forgot to mention that in order to take advantage of the functionality of the stretch bracket you have to switch to the floating lever(pink one in the box). Great observation !
I have a corded wahl magic clip and it feels slower than I've seen this one goes. The weight? I was hoping lighter than a magic clip, lol. Who wouldn't? Thank you for doing this. More info I get, the better.
I have the corded 5* Seniors, and 2 magic clips but I gotta say, my personal preference would be to have:
1 Rebel/Boosted
1 Cordless Magic Clip
1 Corded 5* Seniors
You can leave the Seniors out if you want to go full cordless.
Im deciding between the wahl senior and sc rebel. Do u think these will last a long time deciding factor is longevity. Would love your input
That's a great point and one I'm glad you brought up! The senior is a classic and a heavy hitter you can never go wrong with. If longevity and build quality is your deciding factor then the wahl senior would be my choice, simply because the rebel has inferior build quality and while they are amazing clippers (better for fading than the senior in my opinion), I can't see them outlasting the wahl senior. Keep in mind however that the senior is quite a bit heavier than the rebel; if that is something you care about. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@ramtincutz Thanks alot greatly appriciated
I have the cordless senior and love it especially wit ceramic cutter and fusion blade very nice. But the battery life is crap. I'm upgrading my battery with the tomb 45 eco battery
what did you end up getting? i'm kinda hoping you got the rebels due to the fact that its lighter, comes with a stand and the fusion blade on it (or SC fade blade) is a game chnager, i have both and the seniors are just collecting dust although they aren't aa bad clipper at all, u cant go wrong with none but i prefer the rebel lol.
I have the gamma boosted (its like the rebel) and the senior. I love both of them but i go with the boosted because the battery from the Senior fuck me up so hard!! After 10 minutes of using the power disappears .. sorry for my english and greetings from germany âđŒ
Iâm gonna start cutting my own hair. Should I get the magics, senior or rebels (all Iâm going to do is taper fades)
Thanks for your question! In my answer I might be a little bit biased but I would go with the Magic; and here is why:
While the senior and rebel have much better power and are faster clippers (which helps with bulk and cutting faster for barbers), this makes them a little bit harder to learn on.
My first clipper was a magic and I absolutely love the way it cuts. I no longer use it just because I like to cut with faster clippers; but if you are just doing tapers on yourself the slower clipper and staggered blade will be very useful.
This is my personal opinion and if anyone has other points please reply and add to it! The magic is also going to be the best choice price-wise since you are just starting!
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Just bought a cordless magic clipper and itâs great
Just bought these 2 months ago and now it doesnât hold as charge. Dies within 1 minute of keeping it charged on the dock đ€Šđ»ââïž
Wow! I actually have never heard of this issue happening. I would send them an email explaining the issue to see what can be done. I had an issue with my power switch and they were very quick to help me and send me the replacement part. Let me know how it goes if you end up going with this option! Iâm curious as to what may be causing the issue.
iâve been using my rebels for a 2 month and theyâve started snagging hair when going through bulk. tips on how to fix that?
Hey man, thanks for your comment! What I would do is
1) deep clean your clipper using either andis blade care, or by taking the blade off and brushing out any hairs thatâs accumulated in the clipper over time
2) oil your clipper regularly
Iâve had this happen a couple of times with different clippers over the years and the above always fixed it. Itâs important to keep clippers clean and lubricated at all times to make sure theyâre working as intended.
Let me know how it goes!!
This snagging hair issue has put me off buying these clippers. I have had this issue in the past with clippers and I have sent them back, I canât be bothered with the hassle. I might buy the calibre bmg.
@@Media-oh8xcI got the caliber 50 cal limited edition and hate that clipper. Thereâs zero feedback in feel when cutting with it and no crunch sound at all, sucks with bulk too. Maybe the big is better but like I with the rebels, Iâm never buying another caliber clipper again. Their customer service sucks too.
I totally agree.
Thanks for the feedback bro!
Whats odd I went through the same thing with my stylcraft instincts it came with the magnetic guards I was getting a harsh finish. Then I switch to my babyliss fx Lo pro it was smooth finish. But I use the stylcraft tight guards then I got good results on all my clippers.
one of the best clippers using the gaurds that it comes with is not recommended for me
Hello, do u recommend the rebels more then the insincts? Thanks
To be honest I havenât tried the instincts yet so I wouldnât be able to answer that, would love to try them soon tho!
@@ramtincutz okay. I see the rebel got a faper blade ? When i Look where else it has a fusion blade.
Mine donât want to charge for no reason, never dropped em.smh
I can't get behind this. I'm very happy with my Rebels . I only use the 5 and 6 SC guards and use guards from a different makers for the rest. The blade itself is amazing. They have good power and the battery last
Thanks for your input bro! The rebels have been my go to clipper for months now! Love how the cut, the guards just donât do it for me. Iâm curious though, what other guard brands do you use?
can you fit whal guards on rebel ?
Yes, I can it all guards on any clipper as long as itâs not andis
best blade ever bro
Repel the best đ
Still the go to!
Bro if you want to sell them hit me up...
Caliber .50
Stop frontin you aint throwing shi away
my rebels balde move if i move it? is that normal? i have it all the way right and they still move
It doesnât happen on mine, but I have seen it a lot on other rebels. Iâve had friends return theirs due to this issue; seems like itâs a manufacturing problem.
That being said, I know people that use their rebel regardless of this issue and they have no problems whatsoever. It all depends on how much the blade is moving- if itâs just a little bit you should be fine. Cause youâre never putting that type of pressure or force in the blade even youâre cutting anyways.
Hoops that helps!
@@ramtincutz it did help, thank you !!
