Only thing the van is missing from being a true boogie van is the side pipes
Agreed
@@PoleBarnGarageSide Pipes, Loud is necessary.
Has to have a mini disco ball hung in the middle of the passenger area to hit your head on constantly until someone rips it off in a rage from the sharp glass edges that slice anyones forehead who even looks at it, that the kinda lost knowledge from experience ya can’t find on Google
Edit 👍👍🆙
Onfg
And the Shaaag
Need to have the lady friend more often on video. She seems really awesome and you guys have good chemistry which makes the video's even more awesome!!
She does good work too!
Don't let her go!! 😁
She appears to know what she's doing when she does stuff. But can she weld? You're going to need extra help getting the floors back into the old Fox body Mustang!@@PoleBarnGarage
@PoleBarnGarage good help is hard to find. Better get her on the payroll lol.
I bet she does "good work 😝" she's smokin hot 🔥
"It's just gas"
*Dalton casually takes a drag on his cigarette*
I'm convinced this channel will be entered as "Evidence A" in the hearings surrounding your eventual passing.
Oh well
@@PoleBarnGarage😅
It wasn't lit
Its pretty cool to see the history of the previous owners, my 65 galaxie has a 1985 tape where the previous owner was recording the country radio (with Waylon Jennings playing), around the middle of the tape he says "DAMNED MAZDA DRIVERS" and you can hear him flooring it past them
😂😂
😆 people used to burn Asian cars
Ah, so that's where I left that tape!
(Joking obviously but that sounds like something I'd say and do 🤣)
Please upload this 😂
I scroll down for comments like this. I'm chuckling like a fool over that. 🤣
A boogie van, a funny kid, a lady, and a dog ? Sounds like a great '70's movie to me ! Let the adventures begin !
You leaving out Dalton on purpose?😂
We know he’s going to be in the vids. It’s the cast of characters around him I’m talking about.
Pole barn Jessie is a great addition to the team!
You can't say that when she's sitting next to you
I was going to say the EXACT same thing!
i think jessie deserves a nice steak dinner out somewhere for all the help
i hope no one else thumbs up this comment 😂
I did...#100 thumbs up!...woot!@@aaronplacke
Let's be honest. That tape without knowing what was on it was sketchy all all hell. Now knowing what's on it..kinda wholesome and yeah I bet there's kids that would love to hear grandma and grandpa's voices again. Would mean the literal world to me.
I was legit expecting some old 70s-80s porn. Especially considering what type of van it came out of
Wouldn't it be a good idea to trace the previous owner and then do a search in California on Google or something? Maybe trace the family that way?
15’s will always be better than 17s… just my opinion thanks for the 5am video your time dalton! Definitely needed
For sure. I like 17s on the right car with the right stance, never any bigger
Your content is great! Thank you for all the work you put in to make it happen
Man I grew up drolling over vans like that. Ya know, with the SHAAAG and the JAAAG, you really are living the dream. ✌👍
My first encounter with a van like that was when I was about 15 years old. Went to a summer program up in Houghton, Michigan and near where we were staying was one of these. I would sit there and look at the thing thinking about the interesting things could be done with or in that van 😅😅😅
Awww I hope whoever that tape belongs to finds it. Memories are precious.
I'm glad the door extender worked out! I was so worried that it might not work or the pieces were for a different year. The vans looking great!
Thanks dude!
This channel is getting too fancy for my budget. 2 GTO's, 2 Jaaaaag's, Concourse Silver Dollar, Shaggin Wagon, and now a COBRA 🐍
😂
especially the GTOs are way too fancy
You forgot the ATeam 4x4 meth van……
And the gremlin!,,, lol
“The van has completed it’s mission flawlessly, other than the flaws” -PBG
Ditch the running boards, add side pipes, put on fender flares, and maybe a portal window, then it will be a boogie van. Absolutely love the build. You nailed it.
Tear drop window , But make sure you install it right with the point going up and back point up and back don’t forget point up and back teardrop window always point up and back yes and the side pipes
I like your new helper Jessie....hopefully she'll be in more of your videos. She's cool.
Me too!
She is more than cool. She is delicious 😋 😍
@@carlbernard4197 Always a perv in the crowd.
Dude, keep it in your pants....jhc. @@carlbernard4197
When you said you were going to put the "Shaggin Wagon" to the ultimate test, I got a little nervous.
"if you expected more your in the wrong place" i love him
Dude good job finding you a lady friend that seams to enjoy hanging out in the shop!! They are hard to find!
Very very lucky
Tip for laying big sheets of vinyl in the future: Once you get it measured and in place, put one long strip of tape vertically through the center to hold it down.
Then, lift up one side, peel off the backing paper and cut the backing paper off in as straight a light as possible.
Now, spray the vinyl with a mixture of a couple drops of dish soap and water, then start applying the vinyl from the center tape line out.
Once you have the one side down, remove the tape, peel off the remaining half of the backing paper, spray the other half of the vinyl and smooth it out.
The result should be almost no bubbles at all, and the dish soap mixture will vanish as you let it sit in the sun.
I know perfection isn’t the name of the game here but this is one of those cases where this method actually makes the application process easier/less frustrating, AND makes for a better result.
Vans are kinda cool still. I am 53 and when I was a kid they were amazing.
If you expected more, you’re in the wrong place 🤣 I’m totally digging this van. I agree that side pipes would totally turn this rig into the shagon wagon it wants to be. Love the deep dish slots! Great job guys!
Deep dish? Holy crap those rear rims are a whole trough!
Find anything in those door panels? That rig looks like it went to Tijuana a few times. 😆
Not gonna lie, my Fridays haven't been nearly as eventful, since being a member and seeing all the Friday videos early, this was a nice surprise after getting so much content lately.
I'd like to get where I can give you guys a video every Friday ahead of time
Great video on the Boogie van 😄 keep them coming
.
I am a huge fan of this here, Boogie Van ❤. The new paneling is very pretty, but my absolute fav is the steering wheel.
These videos have caused me to flash back to the early 80s... My Mom's van was a looker, too 😉
should check out mine
"Vans that looked like this made a lot of babies", never a truer word spoken in jest.
Agree 💯 😊😊😅😅😅
Putting those rosettes on the ceiling just added that PBG jaguar touch of class, we are all accustomed to 😍
Wanna know what's great about being a member, other than supporting an amazing youtuber? Getting to enjoy videos twice! Love the content Dalton. Keep up the good work! Great to see a father and son working on projects together! Jessie's a great addition too! Adds more flavor to the already great content! Woo hoo!
Thanks dude
Does Jessie have a chanel also? what is it called?
@@jbncnow I'm not sure, but I haven't looked either. But if she's in the video and helping, wanted to say it's nice to see her around helping our boy Dalton out. I think this is the second or third video she's been in now
Hit the like button the moment those 295/50/15s were bolted on. IMHO, my son's 1975 Gran Tornio needs the same wheels and tires.
Dalton really should raid the shelves at Junkyard digs for custom Mustang II parts like a supercharger and lots more!
All I can say is...Far out man!!! Van is looking good!!
I really loved the old van its so unique and rare and very cool they don't make it like this anymore sadly
You know it's a good when working on the van more closely resembles house renovation than actual mechanic's work. Always a laugh watching these videos, I tell people to check you out whenever I can.
If i think of doing something questionable but functional for my vehicles, always reference Pole Barn Garage catalog. Dalton is the king of questionable functionality. Right on
I'm a van man so naturally this video peaked my interest. What I didn't expect was to be laughing nonstop at the comedic narrating throughout this video 😂.
You’ve amassed quite a dream team for the Boogie Van! JD, Jessie and 2 doggos!!!!! WOWeeee!
Can’t wait to see what happens next!
Thanks for sharing👍🏻
Hope you’re having fun at the Duct Tape Drags!
Be safe🙂
The boogie van is a time machine taking me back to 1984 . It's cool brother
Oh YESS! What a great example of rolling history. This 70s kid loved every minute of the video!
Doug Thorley side pipes, rear window louvers, and one of those small hood scoops…and an Ass,Gas, or Grass bumper sticker.
I had an 85 vandura in high school. At least 1 baby was made in it. I came out to find the bench converted to bed and then about a month later a kid I went to school with told me he was desperate and used the van and accidentally made a baby.
Lookin absolutely SP𝙸FFY with them rims, Pole Van Garage is at it again.
From now on... Almost everything you get an redo. I'm thinking in my head..."the JAAAGGG" voice
.. so. "The BOOOGIEEE VAANNN"
You need a spotlight for that disco ball. And a motor to make it turn slowly. This van is awesome!
The Great Mechanic... ENJOYS his BOOGIE. ❤❤❤❤😎
That interior would be a great collab for a "Detailing challenge" channel. Also if the flex seal doesnt work use lap seal. I cut a giant hole in my van roof and jnstalled a maxxair fan witht the stuff.
Also love the van content while watching in my van while traveling the country
Having come of age in the 70's I can attest that running boards were not acceptable. They made it an "old man' van. BUT!!! Side pipes WERE acceptable an as a matter of fact, almost a required accessory!
Love seeing Dad in videos. I'd probably give up my Ram to spend time learning from him.
When the horn stuck on the steering wheel install, it reminded me of when I was 16. I had an 88 s10 that dad got on trade for some work he did and I had to have it. Someone lowered it, had a sun roof put in it and I bought 3 spoke gt wheel to put in it just like the one you have. I was heading to my grandpa’s shop one day and honked at my great grandmother who was sitting on the porch. That damn horn stuck and blasted for the next half mile until I pulled into the shop where my uncle promptly performed a horn delete before I could even step out of the truck.
😂😂😂
Girl with tattoos A++++, she seems fun for the channel, same pole barn humour! More Jessie is good 👍🏼
I haven't even watched the whole thing, yet... I'm just saying- YOU ARE WAY TOO EXCITED ABOUT THIS VAN. Lol. Love ya, Dalton! Keep it up! -Vic and Johnny
I agree. Jessie is a good addition Dalton.
For sure
Love that old school aluminum-body jigsaw.
its nice to be a member of a the low buck club!
Thanks for joining up!
Yes Dalton we want more Boogie Van content !! Heading to buy some merch now. I got one of Kevins shirts and the quality is amazing so hopefully yours is as well. See ya next time. Oh bytheway way Im here from Junkyard Digs. Shoutout. Love both of your channels.
My uncle had a bubble side van like that. It had the mural from the easy rider magazine. The one with the train, horse and motorcycle riding thru the West. Always wanted one like it
I love seeing raised white letter tires on your builds.
If this vans rocking don't come a knocking.😊
Thought the purple wheel was a perfect addition even before it was installed but the overall rehab looks great.
That Stang might be a good candidate for a bit of rehab as I've heard those Mustang II's are getting of interest as affordable alternatives to the classic 60s/ early 70s variants.
Oh yes bring on the van. Also you and your new helping hand seem to be having fun and work well together. Happy for you.
Dalton: "When I was in school I always got in trouble for using too much glue".
Jesse: "I thought it was EATING too much glue"
The Pole Barn Boogie Vaaaaaan is so much more better gooder now🤌🤌 also Jessie is an awesome addition to the team 🤘🤘
Dalton... the shaggin waggin looks awesome, another awesome video buddy, keep it going, cool to see J.D and your friend helping out.
Looks amazing man
Can't wait to see more of the boogie van
Keep up the good work
Thanks!
I'm old as dirt, and in the 70's we all wanted cool Vans. Love what you are doing to this Van. ❤
One thing I like about your show you get your vehicles running but restore them to new
It's so nice to see you are working with your whole family together.... that's fine... take care and god bless ❤❤❤😊😊😊
The Van is coming together great. New Mustang sounds good too!
God I love this van!! I also love the dogs in this video, we need 2 c them more often!!
You will
definitely wasn't expecting the Mustang II to fire up 😅
I really dig the Van. A bit more power and some of the Firestone airbags and it'd probably be a comfy long haul tow rig too!
Hell yea brother another great PBG vid just in time for me to be done trucking for the day
i was born in the 70's something good happened xD , i love that doggy :O
Was born in 1975 myself
34:17 the "square headed screws" are called Robertson screws, and they're a Canadian invention. P. L. Robertson invented the Robertson screw and screwdriver in 1906 and received the Canadian patent in 1907.. as a kid 70s and 80s we called them "American Safety Screws or "Lock out screws" because at the time, you could not buy a Robertson driver in the USA. Robertson Screws dont cam out as easy as flat or Philips screws do, and the head & the driver are tapered to fit snugly
I like the US Mag's, good stuff, looks right. Sounds good too. The mustang 2 sounds good, maybe find an old stove for the floor transplant. I'm curious how good the mustang 2 is, seems like a gem.👌🏻🤘🏻🇺🇲
It's pretty awful lol
@@PoleBarnGarage perfect 👌🏻
I can already tell this membership far exceeds all others i could have chosen. Well done, sirrr
Thank you much
@@PoleBarnGarage it would be cool to find the family
Loved it ❤ That Van brings back Memories from high school.. My Boyfriend had a van that’s similar to this one.. The only thing that’s missing is a bumper sticker that says If The Vans Rockin Don’t come knocken. lol
Van looks awesome, another great video!
Love watching your video, while riding in a van crossing the same dam.
That was awesome. Nice to see everyone having fun. Those rims and tires are perfect.
From one Jesse to another Jessie, that shaggin is really waggin! Reminds me of high school and my van I painted like the Mystery machine from scooby doo ! Nice job !
Great video as always. Fun to watch the IG posts from duct tape drags also. Thanks for letting vic from FH make die casts of your rides too. He's got a fun channel too. Keep up the good work!
I love everything about this project. Thank you for doing this. Also, my partner is telling me I'm not allowed to have a van of my own, so thank you for allowing me to live vicariously through you.
I love them too but the tiny engine bay scares me 😂 my husband would prob let me get one but I know it would make me cry
@@KekeeBlack the interior doghouse comes off, so its HUGE space to work
Love this van, and it's cool to see someone new involved! Also bring back your bro for an episode!
That was my first car it got me to my girlfriends house and school. Thank you for sharing brings back memories 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
A good natured woman is a great find. Love the van, too. Cobra....needs to be fast. Can you make it fast?
Oh I can
This episode brings me back to childhood when in the 80s custom vans were it. We even had a shop solely dedicated to sell custom van parts called Captain Vantastics.
Puppy and wife has to supervise the project.😊
Vans like that made our parents
Take her to the Kansas NASCAR race with Kevin and the crew next year!!!!
Next time you do vinyl, spray down the application area with a dilute solution of water and dish soap. It'll make the adhesive temporarily less sticky. Much easier to slide air bubbles out.
Not going to lie. Going toiss the roadster. Seeing Dale in the van made my day
You had me a slot mags. 😂🇺🇸
That jigsaw is the best part of this whole video and got no shade.
YES absolutely more videos on the Van..
That stang sounded healthier than almost all the cars on the channel.
That beautiful mustang II is the ideal 24 hrs of Le'mons or Gambler 500 car 😊
You're almost ready to go live down by the river.😅 I've always wanted a Mustang II with the T tops, do a coyote swap and low profile wheels and it would be awesome. Of course, if it were mine it would probably sit in the driveway until the wife called the scrap man...
It is definitely oozing the “Shaggin’ Wagon” vibe now.
I love watching stuff like this. Please don't breathe no more Asbestos dust I'm sure many share my sentiment that we wanna see you around doing this as long as possible.
seeing you restomod that mustang II would be awesome
Thumbs up if we like seeing Jessie in the video!
