Am I going crazy or does this mic have a super smooth low end too? I'm listening to it on my Beyerdynamic and it's sounds so much less bright than most over hyped modern mics. Also it captures a lot of character in your voice. Dare I say a little creamy sounding?
Can you please do a shootout with this one and some Neumann mics? I'd be really curious to hear how close it gets to a microphone that costs at least 10 times more. This is the first BaiFei Li microphone that I think would benefit from that comparison
Could be the CAPI VP26 adding in a lot of that nice color, which is what you'd want with a mic like this to take the sound to the next level. Alas, there won't be any other comparisons as I've already taken the V47 apart to mod it.

Great question. I actually haven't used either the 3u black or teal cm1, so I can't really say. I think the cm1 black though has de-emphasis built into the circuit so it's more suited for a k87 style capsule.
hey Mark! I got one back in May, are you saying that it's been updated since that model? Asking because while I LOVE the tone, it has a very loud noise floor. Would definitely order an updated one if you're saying that they've tightened those screws a bit. I've been using the c-vox(thanks for that recommendation!) but would prefer to not have to worry so much about all that processing to kill the noise. let me know if you know, thanks brother!
I felt like the updated one was a bit quieter than the first one. We’re not talking about TLM-103 level quiet of course. Whenever I use Cvox, even in the booth, I always have it cranked up to get my sound so it’s just part of the landscape. Or, try the Hush app.
You have to also do videos where you open the mic up and show us internals .

what about the noise level of this mics? which one is the best or lower noise ?
V5 and v47 have good self noise specs. But again, if you use a good noise abatement plug in like hush or Cvox, it’s never a problem for most rooms.
It sounds very good! Clean and airy. Is there any way to differentiate the two versions, besides opening it and seeing that everything is properly connected?
I think the improvement is mostly in the process and approach in which the mic is assembled and parts are chosen, resulting in the product it should have been from the beginning.

I think the V5 is the better mic but there’s no way for me to know which would be better on you, in your space, on your vocals.
i had the sm7b and perfectly suits my voice for singing , hope this helps explain ecerything
Which is better for singing, Baifei li v10 or Baifei li V47?
They’re both basically the same mic. Same capsule. Same type of transformerless circuit. Pick whichever you prefer.

Whats new between this and the old one for the huge price increase?? Hopefully not just the phase..
I was told “small adjustments” so I’m guessing also they improved the FET biasing to get it quieter. These are going to keep going up in price as more oriole find them because this is a wholesale price you’re getting and they were drastically underpriced to begin with.

@@lonnit9nnit Tell you what... if you don't like it, don't buy it. See how that works? If you don't like the price, talk to the manufacturer, FFS. If you don't see how this cheap mic still smokes anything in its price range then I can't help you.

LOL. It’s a pretty decent mic, nothing that will blow your socks off, but my interest in it is primarily as a donor mic for DIY purposes.
@@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff yes very cool. Great VO voice you have there. Worked at a studio in NYC for a long time, we did post audio for tv spots. Always was booking talent in LA. back when it was only an isdn box, we’ll all over the world for that matter. Question… you know any good voice over schools nowadays? Kicking around the idea of it. Also… just bought a u47 clone with the flat47 and came across all your videos. Good fun stuff.
