In Idaho it is a felony charge to possess every drug except marijuana...Making simple possession a misdemeanor would solve this problem...
Ada county jail houses many, many people for non violent drug offences...Probably 80% of there population and I have been in that population in the past...If they would focus on incarcerating the violent offenders and leave the addicts who are not a threat alone there would be no reason for them to be asking for our hard earned tax dolar...
Criminals shouldn't be comfortable, or have a comfortable stay they are inmates and that's their punishment for their actions if they don't like it, then oh well they shouldn't commit crimes.
