YouOnlyLiveTwice it is an option to have the lift, you don’t have to have it, necessary for the people that will just drive it on the street but not necessary if someone is just going to tow it behind their cayenne to the track and back

It’s more about aerodynamics than weight. The badge at the front makes a noticeable amount of drag as the air passes over the hood. Mercedes does this too on their hyper cars.

Also, I think the carbon-fiber elements don't go with this green, the front fender vents for creating additional down-force from the tires turbulent air, seem a bit ricer type tune, which is a crazy thing to say about the latest GT2 RS, but in this spec, I really found it stupid. Solomondrin's car was much better looking.

Exactly, it was a section of the german highway without any speed limit (A81 for those who want to know). It had a "S-GO-..." license plate, so it most likely was a Porsche press vehicle.

This car has the most luxurious interior I've ever seen with the most cargo space in the most stylish way humanly possible so it earns an easy 4/10.

I think the air vents in the front prevent lift, they don't actually provide downforce -could be wrong. Great video and I do love your comprehensive reviews.

17:40 that's what I really liked about the gt2rs, it's the sharp steering. It's so precise and handles like a kart, that I chose this car every time I am faced with a tough twisty race in Forza :)

That’s how you close all engine covers. You need a fair bit of force to shut it, otherwise it won’t catch and will stay “popped”. The fact that it’s in the back doesn’t change anything

a note about the front fender air vents: they are not there to add downforce, they are there to aliviate the pressure that builts up underneath the wheel arches, by reducing the pressure that builds up underneath the wheelarches at highspeed, you get less force pushing up on the car. so it doesn't actually create downforce, it reduces lift.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...the general consensus of most people is that "coolant" is the water/glycol mixture in the closed heat exchange system which transfers engine heat to a finned water/air heat exchanger.

I get the feeling the owners of this car only let Doug review in exchange for the ridiculous plug we all skipped at the beginning. I don’t think this car has ever been on the track or will be in the future. SavvyLlc probably uses this at car shows to drive more traffic to their booth. The reason for the bag on the seat is that SavvyLlc can’t afford this car so needs to be pristine when they sell it after chapter 11. Personally I prefer reviews on cars provided by fans of the channel.

Doug, I normally agree with you and am impressed with your reviews and scoring. The practicality is only a 2 for the GT2RS? Idles smoothly, stock exhaust quiet(ish), 2 seats, lots of storage behind seats and in frunk, good gas mileage, cupholders, infotainment, reliable, etc. You said 2 out of 10 relative to the segment? Seems like it is way more practical than say a Huracan.

My 2007 Cayman S has the same cupholders. The most genius part is that they position your drinks directly in front of the dash vents. So, when it's hot outside and you have a cold drink, the AC keeps your drink cold. When it's cold outside and you have a hot drink, the heat keeps it hot. It's really brilliant and works well.
What if is cold outside and youre drinking a soda? You want a hot soda?
@@the_ap_1561 Normal people drink cold drinks in hot weather and hot drinks when it's cold outside, but not everyone is normal.
If you are one of those abnormal people, simply close the vent, or choose to be more rational when selecting your drink.
Open-top drinks like cans of pop are highly discouraged, however. Bumps will instigate splashy spills that will result in a sticky dash.

The socalled 'Y-Speiche' is my all-time favorite wheel design! It is timeless, it is light and stiff, it is elegant and sporty and it is not too bling or boring. It suits every car in the market.

Those cupholders ARE cool. The funny thing is I have the EXACT same setup on my 2011 Cayman S and I think the exact same ones have been around since the 986/987. He's been in 911s, so I guess he wasn't really surprised, but it's still funny that he made such a big deal about it.

fun fact about that wing: usually GT race cars can't have those wings that large, but porsche gets an exception because due to the general shape of the car, it's diffuser is significantly smaller and less effective than its competitors. so they let porsche run the massive wings to have the same amount of downforce

5:42 this is nitpicking but the vents reduce lift, they do not increase downforce.
They allow the high pressure air in the wheel well to escape, so the splitter can be more effective in pushing the nose down.
