Sweden is NOW number 4 in the world in happiness..was number 5 last year..Usa is number 23 and trending down every year
Loved the genuine interaction 🙏
One of the most swedish things to do.
As soon as the first real sun comes after winter, people stop turn their faces up to the sun close their eyes and just smiles.. you see it everywhere..
People on benches just sitting and smiling in the meager pre-spring sun.
And u see that behaviour most of the spring months =)
Are to get vitamins B and D need in winter use that in pills for are not Sun are get to little was something science found out and reason people stated feel better sin give you that if dark not get enough of that and need eat extra and that cure depress and tired get are low b and D vitamin so are important see to that in winter when darkest months 👍
@@niclaslindman haha.
Har en Japansk vän som beskrev Svenskar på våren som blommor , så fort det är lite sol..bara ett par strålar stannar vi upp och vänder oss mot solen och suger i oss lite sol och ler =)
Fishing: Depending on where you are looking to go, there may be a variety of local variations. It's almost best to shoot the kommun an email (or call them) and ask where the local protected areas are, where licenses are warranted, and where it's free of restriction (barring perhaps limitations on equipment or local fisher's club jurisdiction).
Opening the Surströmming can under water is a *really* bad idea.
By opening it normally, you chock the system with the initial spray/strong smell, so you won't be as bothered by the smell during the meal.
Most lakes and rivers you will need a fishing license, you buy day by day, if you are tourist.
People that live near it, can buy license for a year ..much much cheaper. It may vary from lake to lake, but from my own experience, tourists can not buy those year license, a week at most.
Some even have a limit of fish you can catch, some even you do it for the fun only, catch and release.
Check up the rules each lake, penalties can be bad, like 2000kr fine and lose you fishing equipment's.
Work/Life - balance is much better in Sweden but not perfect. Enjoy yourself.
Nothing is perfect but it's sure close to it is u have the right work.
Living to work or Work for living and all between =)
20 minutes fika is a bit short, but 30 minutes is a bit long, so 25 minutes is just perfect. 2 times a day. But to be honest, we often talk about work quite a lot. And don’t forget the 30-60 minutes lunch (unpaid time).
A 25 minute fika is lagom.
Collaborating, bruhs nice100

@@Lexxinsweden Alright, I appreciate it - thank you! 🙏
Parent leaf need use to 5 year of age 👍
Surströmming is most over rated thing, it is no joke, it is really really horrible. No it dont taste better than it smell. Nobody in the world should eat it, it was meant as an insult from Finland, but due to lack of food, people had to eat it to survive. Check up some challenges, people puke as soon as they open the can, it is beyond any smell you can imagen. You really do not miss anything.
Do it for fun, have a puke party and let people laugh at you. It will ruin your entire day.
You wont eat anything, so you need to eat afterwards, but you cant. If you eat before, it will come up.
not many swedes eat surströmming anymore.. i tried it 2 times when i grow up and ..naah its not for me..same with lutfisk..sill (herring) in different spices and sauces is still no1 for most swedes all year around
…and yes, open the can in a bucket with water to avoid the smell.
@@vansting Or send the can to a EX with a note that says "this reminds me of you" =) ...haha
