- After Hours of walking to discovery the mansion NIck named MALEDICTION. A house with a dark past, No one seems to know where this family disappeared to in 2009 everything is left, from kids toys to a old rifle found in the dinning room. I felt if the walls could talk they would tell a very erie story, every room i walked into i felt a very strange feeling like something didn't want me there. Im going to try and find out what really happened here, so is the house really cursed and made the family leave.

craftmanship blows away what builders do today.
Nobody has the time or skill anymore, sad really.
Six years ago I lived in a small studio cottage when a flood came through and took everything we (me, daughter) owned, but our cats survived and that was enough. My consciousness about possessions and things has changed significantly since then and I'm not at all as attached to anything like before the flood. I've been watching a ton of these explorations of abandoned properties during the pandemic, and it's fascinating to see it in visual images this way...things just there, no life to them, left to decay and in the end all things are irrelevant. Looking at pots and pans, imagining kitchens filled with cooking smells and chatter, and people....when they're gone the things just linger forever. Seeing trinkets that were once upon a time probably someone's favorite thing or special gift they treasured, and it's just a thing. Anyway, just my existential pondering, out loud. lol p.s. I have worked for people (cleaning, organizing, yard work, etc) of big, beautiful homes, and so many of them have had elderly neighbors living alone in homes like this that pass away and then their home sits empty for years, and years, and years. No one ever goes in, clears it out, turns off utilities...it's so strange and surreal how often that happens. I explored a HUGE home once, and it was stunning. It had been empty for over 22 years. I would have lived there and LOVED to be a free caretaker! These places are incredible for so many reasons....
We bought a farmhouse in Kansas in the 90’s, well, we bought the 42 acres and the house and buildings were considered free because of the condition. It was built in the 30’s by the father for his family of five kids and wife. Over the years, all but one son married and moved away, then eventually it was him and Mama left there. He was pretty lazy (per his baby brother, whom we spoke with and bought the place from) and as he finished using something, he’d leave it where he finished. (When we bought it, you couldn’t see the house from the road about 50 yards away. )But, as Older Brother aged, they finally went one day, packed a bag, put a padlock on the door and took him to another state. We cleared and cleaned the house and yard, finding rusted farm equipment with 20+ year old trees growing through them.
There was food in the cupboards, clothes in the closets, pictures on the walls.
As we tossed moldy clothes (before we knew to wear masks), found a handmade quilt Mama had sewn by hand. I took it home and asked it, then gave it to them to pass on to a grandchild. I would have loved to keep it, but it was rightfully theirs despite us buying as is. There were few things we could save for them.
We cleaned the place, threw temporary carpets down, and moved in since our house in town sold weeks after we listed it and hadn’t officially closed on this purchase.
As my husband removed the coal burning furnace parts, he found rat carcasses that were literally bigger than our cat now. I had placed opened packages f rat poison around the house before we began clearing it out, and six large packets or poison would be gone in days. Then, I’d noticed the droppings were turning green from poison. They’d eat small amounts until they could eat it without quickly dying.
The boxes of cereal and crackers in the cupboards were untouched by the rats.
We lived there for six months and had to move before we could begin remodeling because the dust and environment as so hard on my two young sons, my six year old ended up with Ryes Syndrome as a complication from severe allergies, which had lead to pneumonia...After a week in ICU, he pulled through and we began the process of finding a better house.
People were so eager to move to that area, as we moved out, we had a renter moving in. Eventually, after we cleaned up the area, we divided the property and sod it in two parts (same family bought both parts) and doubled our money.
After six months of “indoor camping with a flush toilet” we moved to a 2 bedroom, 1 bath house and felt like we were living a castle! 😂
I hope your son has fully recovered now. Sounds like clearing the house was a nightmare. God bless you for your thoughtfulness with the quilt.
I am absolutely in love with this home!!! If I had the money I would be all over buying and restoring it! Thank you so much for sharing!!
You are a true gentleman the way you respect your explores plus it’s the story you put with every room 😊🇦🇺
Agreed.
I agree to I was thinking the same thing he is amazing and he respect everything
Ah yah. Its amazing really..the way u explore with a respect to those things..bless u buddy!!

Sad so many beautiful homes left to rot. Also the beautiful antiques. Just sad.
Those old Avon cologne bottles remind me of my grandma, she collected them and had a ton of them. She was a bit of a hoarder. Lol. These beautiful houses just left to rot like this make me so sad. Here I am wishing I had a house, and there are so many just empty & unloved. 😢
The old Avon bottles sell for a lot of money
@@judithfarlow3326 do they ?
Those old Avon bottles are worth alot of money 🤗
At 23:07 when Dave picked the clock up off the floor. Did anyone else notice it was still ticking?. Great video Dave. Be safe and be careful.
It really was ticking!
I thought it was just me!!!
Yep it was ticking
@ Vicki Duley, Yes I heard that!!! I thought, no, impossible! Maybe someone had recently been there & wound the clock???
Yes! It was
Absolutely amazing. I love how you imagine how it use to be with the windows open on a summer day. So sad to see such a beautiful place falling into disrepair.
Really sad everything’s been left to decay. Would love to know more about why they left. Made me sad to watch. It’s eerie but clearly signs of happy lives too. Love how you show and narrate to us xx
You say we would get bored? you could make a 10 day video taping every room and picking up every piece in the room and I still wouldn't be bored.... I keep stopping the video to look at things..lol.. Not sure if they had AVON in France, but here in the states those cologne decanters from AVON are literally everywhere..
sometimes just moving the clock will start it ticking again.
Me too
@@referchiq420 sit down in one of the rooms and read through the books or look at the pictures left behind, moments frozen in time when this house was buzzing with activity
Yep that's what those were men's cologne bottles from Avon
I thought the same about Avon cologne bottles
I love the way you respect their home. I had that light when I was 4 years old bringing it down for dinner and pushing it back up. I was wondering if you ever do research on the people who owned the house.
You are so fortunate to be able to go to all these abandoned places. I could spend weeks just going through all the things in them, from pictures to all the antiques, and everything else. Thanks for considering me as part of your family, you are part of mind. I tell everyone about your channel. I enjoy you narration of all your videos. Stay safe. Love you.
Oh to be able to restore one of these to its former Glory is still a dream of mine 💕
Exactly!
Linda it would be such an amazing and exciting job. If only I had the money to do it. I’ll just keep dreaming for now.
Me too ✌❤
I want to do the same
It used to be my dream 20 years ago. Now that I’m 48, I just want shit to work.
Bloody brilliant Dave another blinding example of the work u do
the house you can tell was once a beautiful home but it made me sad.
Ohhhhhh.....when you were climbing over the fence, I could imagine your phone in your back pocket falling out into all that tall growth! you probably wouldn't hear it hit and when you WERE to notice it gone, you probably would never find it! Secure it better please. Just for safety sake. And, let me say this about this video....I was in awe the entire time and anticipating each room as you went through. Everything about this house is amazing. I hate that it is left like it is. I wish it would be preserved. Thanks for this one!
You were meant to do this stuff mate. No other CZcams channel, that cover's this stuff, comes close to your level of respect, and professionalism..
I just love when you let your imagination run wild, I love to listen to you. You very kind and pick up things and place it . Thank you for your fantastic work.
Another beauty starting to decay, it makes me so sad to see this. Someone said the taxes were so high in France, could be why so many of these beautiful homes are abandoned. The upkeep on this home would cost a fortune alone. Loved the adventure, thank you.
It honestly will always be a mystery as to "Why" these families just up and abandon their castles? Regardless of the size from mobile homes to mansions. Everyone of us rich or poor, our homes are our castles! And these abandoned homes will more than likely always remain a mystery as to "Why". Mysteries that we all wish we had the capabilities to unlock.
The Deep State took alot from people. They are done! Enjoy the future!
I just can't imagine people leaving or anything like that and all their belongings behind someone must know something
it happens!
After my nan died her house got ransacked before we new. This reminds of that. Someone has be rummaging throughout that house and the rooms, all the cupboards u can clearly see that. So sad.
Wow, what an amazing place. Another astounding explore Dave. Thanks so much for sharing it with us all. 👍🏻🤗
I love this! I shared this on my Facebook page. I am excited for you to see this incredible mansion!
😺Dave love when you pick up stuff that has fallen especially Dolls,Pitcher's,so sweet💓Amazing! Keep doing what you do.
Wow Dave this is a little gem of a find.A stunning mansion, the hallway is beautiful and the rooms that are not badly damaged are beautiful.I can see that back in the day, this house was so beautiful.Such a shame it is just rotting away,it is a crime really,I just don’t understand why they let these mansions just rot away without saving them,it makes me so sad,I would die for a place like this.Well done Dave, another fantastic video, you tell the stories of them so well, and I loved the music you put with this one,it was perfect. Thanks Dave, really enjoyed watching, stay safe and well.xxxx
Thanks for the tour....I love how you are so respectful of the place and the appreciation you have for the beauty of the architecture and the small detail. You reminded me of myself when you talked about imagining the families that lived there.
Lovely place, like a museum. I so appreciate your love & respect of these homes & belongings! Thanks for this explore! 🙋♀️💜✌
Just found your channel last night and I love the amount of respect you guys give to these old homes. This particular home may have belonged to someone who didn't have any heirs or relatives to leave this amazing place to, after they passed.
So freaking beautiful 🥰🥰
I used to have one of them dutch dolls, I got from volendam years ago.
Really sad how these places get abandoned, and so many memories left behind
I fricking love this channel!
I'm so glad it crossed my path. I'm having so much fun enjoying those beautiful abandoned places. I can only imagine the stories behind avery abandonment. I especially love your creed of not stealing or vandalizing the places, I really appreciate that. Your honesty and awe for the places you explore helps me respect the places even more.
Keep up the good work! Blessings from Puerto Rico!
Oh My Gosh I love how respectful of everything you are! It made my heart warm when you picked up that doll at the beginning and stood her up and I am sure the doll loved it too Thank You it gave me a sense of peace Right Away!
another gorgeous place ty for showing us love it xx
Thank you for taking us into another beautiful place. Love the details, lights and furniture!
We aren't bored. I love how respectful you are of these places. You take the time to explore. You are fantastic.
Wow, what an incredible home. So many of the items left behind reminded me of when I was growing up in the 70's/80's. I love how you tell a story whenever you explore. I too love old bottles and there were some beauties there. Thank you for exploring and sharing. Cheers, from Australia. xx
This place seriously needs bought and restored. You two should buy it😉
No way. In this case it is cheaper build a brand new house like this.
loved this video great old mansion so sad to see them all left to rot away keep up the good work dave 👍❤❤❤❤❤❤
Country roads take me home to the place I belong! Love you Dave ❤ Not the same without Mark tho 😢
Sorry. Mark soon be in framce x
Holy cow the AME on the mantle my husband has one from his dad he was a Navy man in World War II . I looked at the numbers they are different but same size and gold color. Love watching your video's such beautiful places and love the architecture and design. I think your architecture is so different and beautiful compared to America.
I love it when you sing country roads that's my home West Virginia ❤
Wow! This place is incredible! France never disappoints. Another fantastic find!
I love the frosted blue glasses @ 30:56. This house is breathtaking. It has opulence to it and still a French country vibe. I'll bet the family was very caring here. Shocked by how organized the basement was. Still creepy. :) Great video! Loved watching it. I can tell you were really excited walking through this one and sharing the place with the rest of us!
Incredible place. I actually think that basement was the first basement that I have seen in your videos that did not freak me out - lol. I love those French jam jars with the red and white checked lids ( I collect them as well ) . Beautiful work Dave as always. Keep Safe xoxo
Wow such a beautiful Mansion and so many beautiful things!!👍👍👍 Beautiful Piano!!🎹🎹

Thank you so much for another wonderful explore! The mansion in truly beautiful even in its state of decay... It's contents are amazing , the furniture, light fixtures, paintings and architectural elements ... What a shame this architectural treasure and its contents can not be saved... I love how you show so much respect for these
homes and the personal property of those that lived in them. Thank you and your friends again for another wonderful video. Keep healthy and safe in your travels my friend!!

Looks like this is gonna be an awesome explore!! I can't wait to buy some merch!! I'm so happy you have plus size hoodies too!! And I'm gonna get me a mask very soon, probably next week when I get some money. 💜
Just beautiful! Just so sad to see it decaying! I wonder what happened!
Another great video! The inside seemed more like the abandoned homes we have here in the US. A few things made me nostalgic too. I remember my dad having one of those car shaped cologne bottles and I had a view master. I loved that thing! 😁
This place is beautiful! Love that wallpaper in the hallway, it’s very eye captivating. Very unique! Ty for the tour.
You have such a good heart lovely lad full of love and respect 🌟❤🌟
12:50 - Those are the old Avon cologne bottles! I've also seen car bottles that were filled with Whiskey at one time.
Heather McConnell I saw them and for the life of me couldn’t remember “Avon” 😂 Thank you for the reminder!
@@sunniewright3335 I got bit by the car bug and this was just one more thing i learned about. haha
I actually have a pistol Avon cologne bottle. I remember viewing Avon books when the different colognes were sold in a variety of different shapes of items. So many things shown in these videos bring back so many memories of a wonderful past, that shall never, ever be again. Shamefully!!!!
I was like yelling those are avon perfume bottles lol
Another beautiful house amazing video ive liked and shared just amazing 👏
Such a grand looking house from the outside, such a shame its left to rot, would of been beautiful. Wonder what happened to the family? Thanks really enjoyed the video, stay safe xx

Thanks for sharing guys, love the picture of the 2 deers ,why do no one claim these homes????.
👍
Great video! This house is, like you said, AMAZING! I can't imagine what it was like to live in this home and why anyone would have left it and just let it decay and rot away. What a shame!
Thank you for another explore video Dave 😀
Lovely Dave, one of your best explores, so melancholy, fascinating to see the power of nature taking back what is there. Sad but compulsive, your efforts are so appreciated.
Love your videos! Shared with friends. Keep up the brill work.
I love how respectful you are please dont ever change x
Amazing discover!!i was speechless while watching!but pleeeease ,the wardrobe was full of clothes!!can we see some abandon vintage clothing also next time???♡

Very eerie this one seeing how they must of left in a hurry makes you wonder what happened interesting house though seeing all the stuff left behind, loved the chandelier you pulled down
Hard believe someone would leave there things behind . these are beautiful homes. Thank u for sharing .
Love your videos & how gentle you are with the property. Love the wallpaper!
That royal blue couch was stunning - I wanted to put the cushions right though. 😜 everything was stunning, the furniture the paintings on the wall omg I wanted one of those! It is unbelievable it’s left to decay. Thanks Dave I love your explores 🌹
at 29.46 there is a little ," sink" he called it. Its actually a catholic water bowl for confessions. Weird it's in their house.
Those small 'water places' were very common in 17 en 18th-century canal houses in Amsterdam. Especially in hallways and attics.
I am pretty sure this is such a thing and not a catholic water bowl for confessions.
mammoetoudebouwmaterialen.nl/product/antiek-fonteintje-nr-2103/
I thought it too might be a catholic vessel for holy water - but for making the sign of the cross. Never heard it for confessions. :)
it always shocks me how lovely these french properties are, many in the UK that are abandoned that i have seen, have been vandelised which is terrible :( This property was gorgeous, and you always show such respect for the items contained therein. That record player though, we had one in our house growing up ..my parents had soo many LPs hehe. Also, I will whole heartedly agree with your idea for your loft, 80s and 90s things, for the win!! ( 80s kid here haha..'82 i was born ) Keep up the good work Dave, i always love your explores x
Loved every minute. Thanks. Worth the bramble to get there. Also you respectfully treat these places well. Thanks.
what a beautiful place, some of those wallpapers and furnitures. wow..Would love to seen it back to life and glory. Also loved the basement. Great explore.
Hey youngster! Where ya been? You and Mark are the ones who got me hooked on Urbex videos, and I will watch you 4ever. This house must have been AMAZING in it's prime! I just can't figure out how rhere is NO ONE, no family, that cares about these wonderful properties and the belongings inside. In the U.S, the contents of value would be long gone, the interior would be trashed, and someone would be fighting over the house. Say hello to Markie and keep the great vids coming! NY Nana
does anyone else click like within the first few minutes.....i enjoy very much i can't help myself. another great video always.
I love all of your explorers you are so conscientious and respectful of everyone's possessions thank you
What a beautiful explore you’ve done you’re always very good and you go for the little bits and pieces not just padding a room like some down very good well done Eddie👍
I loved it thank you so much 👏👏 I remember some motels having carpet on the roof how odd was that haha
Hi 🙂 I'm new to your channel as stumbled across you while looking for other urbexers after I done my own random explore of an abandoned mansion last weekend & wanted to see who else had explored it so I could get some other info & see what experiences everyone else had with it because I had really bad vibes while wandering around it & heard so many strange noises & what sounded like running foot steps but put it down to the really bad rain that was coming in and it being completely dark apart from my phone light but soon found out that even in the day it's just as scary 🤣 needless to say though, I'm looking forward to my next explore because despite the mixed feels & vibes you get when in these beautiful yet sadly destroyed buildings, even in the days that follow, theres an urge that you just have to go and do it again!! Anyway I've been hooked on your channel & love how respectful you are of the properties you visit & how real you also keep it, Theres a lot of urbexers who dont & you're just out here keeping it real, humble and amusing, Definitely an urban explorer for myself and others to be inspired by and to look up to, Thankyou for just being you 🙂
Thank you for sharing this with us. . Greatly appreciate it . ❤
It sounds like things are being moved around in other rooms, I thought he had accompanied a clean out crew. Especially since the door was wide open.
Great video as always Dave 👍,that basement would make a great man cave, shame it was so over grow it may ave had out buildings to look at.stay safe look forwards to more
Love this video thank you so much for sharing your my favourite Explorer and wow that ceiling chandler is stunning x
Thanks Dave, another interesting explore👍🏻
What a fantastic place. It blows my mind when I see you exploring these French mansions. I cant get my head around the fact these places exist as if the owners have just up and left with everything left behind
Some really interesting things in this one, wow every corner you turn there's something interesting to see, wallpaper on the ceilings use to be a common thing, it did here too in the UK many years ago. Beautiful house, the rooms that are not damaged are amazing, the locks on the doors inside the house wow. Nice find, fab video, could never ever tire of these videos, keep them coming. Stay safe guys
Love watching your channel way you respect things and way you tell it to us viewers well done big thumbs up for channel 🤗 look forward to next one
It looks like it has been empty long before 2009. That is a lot of deterioration.
I agree Dave, try & find the history to these Fantastic places hun, before you visit!! I too would love to know the history!! 😉

You did a great job, and i loved some of those antiques-- I wish I could buy the cabinent in the dining room.
