@@andrewlawNope, Jimi Hendrix himself. No. I do admire SRV of course as I do admire Gary. I prefer Gary actually because of his more versatile playing. I love blues but to me Gary was at his very best in the mid 80s ( Vicims of the future period). His blues was good but it began to become repetitive and I lost all interest in him. I am a huge Hendrix fan and Red House is one of my favourites. I simply can't stand Gary's version (huge understatement). When I first opened the video of Gary's Red house I had such a clear vision of what I feared it would sound like and it was exactly how it turned out.

His vibrator is the best.....he seems to have damn near perfect pitch. I've watched darn near everything Gary has on CZcams. My absolute favourite player.
This guy was unique. His ferocity, emotional playing, technique were simply untouchable. As a blues guitarist only SRV is close to him. A monster, a beast, a very intense player... I can not find adjectives for this badass artist that left us too soon.
Gary is one of a very select few who threw caution to the wind with his playing, much like Jimi. Gary is my all-time favourite guitarist, nobody comes close, despite there being a heap of technically gifted players out there. It's just none of them match his expression. Great choice!! 👍👍

Yay! Another Gary Moore reaction. You've done two covers now, the first was a Roy Buchanan piece, this one of course Hendrix. You really need to hear some of his own music. Many will suggest Still Got The Blues or Parisienne Walkways, both incredible songs. The Loner performed at the Hammersmith Odeon is another excellent track. But for me, my very favourite song of his and probably over any artist is from one of his lesser known albums from the mid 90s, Dark Days in Paradise and the song Like Angels. There is one live version of it available on CZcams and I would absolutely lose my shit if you reacted to it.
As for a Guitar week, hell yeah! I could give you a list a hundred long just from Moore alone!

Great choice, and reaction Pat. Guitars are where it's at, they make Rock what it is! Love the idea of a guitar week! Gary is one of my favorites, we lost him much too soon. He's been gone about 8 years now, and I'd bet his fingers are STILL running chords! RIP Gary (ROCK in peace).

Great reaction again. I first saw Gary in a small local Town Hall when he was unknown and he blew me away. Then in 1982 he stunned the crowd at The Reading festival in England and left us Shell Shocked. There were some massive groups that year but he burned them all. If you want a real treat React to Gary with BB King playing "Feel is gone".

Fuckin right. Killed it. He does a couple of shows, blues for jimi and blues for greeny. Both are two of the best shows ever. Blues for greeny was all Peter Green songs.
