As mentioned here and again from some of our customers, the newest model device’s no longer have screws on the top control deck. We are now offering a side mount version for these units. Please just add a note with your preference when ordering from the link. Thanks again!

I love these mounts. They’re also available in a bunch of different colors that you can mix and match. I picked up blue and red JoyCon mounts that match the colors of my JoyCons perfectly. Also, there are a bunch of other Switch games that support vertical (Tate) mode - they look awesome on the ALP.
Michelle was helpful and shipped everything out super fast. Great review.

Tried out my switch and the accessories. Couldn’t be happier with the improved FX3 games vs the stock ALP’s thus far. The right joy con holder was a little tight. Other than that, the holders were fine. Only issue with the switch, is after a game, the leaderboard screen automatically turns back sideways. Not a huge deal. More annoying than anything. Thanks for the video.

I bought a pair a few months back. I honestly thought that I would like them more than I did. The controls end up being in an awkward position. I actually prefer to just hold the joy cons and ended up removing the mounts. But A+ for thinking this up.

Ordered and installed this kit. It’s a game changer honestly. So easy to play PFX/PFX3/Pinball M/Star Wars Pinball/Demons Tilt. I mounted my joycon on the side which looks more aesthetically pleasing. I wish someone would make Bluetooth pinball controllers for switch that would be mountable to the ALP. Or if someone could make an easy to install kit to use the internal plunger/flipper buttons. But, for a cheap solution this has opened up playing virtual pinball at my house. Much better virtual pinball games versus those included from AtGames. Get the drink mounts too!

The only ways I’ve found to make the Switch support the ALP controls are to either jailbreak the Switch and run an app that maps the buttons, or to get a USB bridge and hardwire the controls directly to the Switch. I’ve tried the Magic-S Pro adapter and a couple of generic adapters and none of them work. If you’ve found one that works it would be really cool.

I know from watching several other videos on youtube that if you hook up the AtGames Legends Pinball controls a PC via a male to male USB cable, the PC will detect the built-in controls including the flippers and other buttons as an Xbox One controller.

I have an original NOD version of the ALP with the screws on top and a second one that I picked up a few weeks ago from Sam’s with no screws. The buzzing haptics on the new ALP are far worse than the old one because the top panel isn’t screwed down to the melamine underneath it. I ended up popping off the rails and running hot glue between the top plastic panel and the melamine on the d-pad deck and it fixed the issue. Sometimes AtGames makes the weirdest decisions when they make “improvements”.

@@PDubsArcadeLoft Sorry to spam this comment with replies. But, Michelle Jordan, the maker of the joy con holders, actually included with my order a zip lock bag holding two wood screws of the exact perfect length to affix the holders to my front panel. Yes, I'll have to drill pilot holes very carefully, but she must be aware of this issue if she included the screws with my order. The length of the screws matches the thickness of the wood on the front panel, so I'm not worried at all about accidentally drilling through my panel to the other side. I do think you could also mount them to the side rails on the lowest screws closest to the front panel, if you choose. That would mean, though, your joy cons would be positioned vertically instead of in their natural horizontal orientation to the playfield. So, if you mount these to the side rail, you'll have to adjust your thinking when you use the right stick to nudge because the joycons won't be in their natural orientation to the playfield. I saw that Michelle Jordan does custom orders if you message with her on FB, so if I wanted side rail holders, I'd work with her for a custom order. Attaching these tonight and playing some Creature From the Black Lagoon and other FX3 and Stern Tables!!
