Such a shame the team didn’t get real depth until Gerrard left. We had a few great teams like the one with Torres, Alonso, Mascherano and of course the one with Suarez, Sturbridge, Coutinho, Sterling… but it was only when Klopp came did the team really become a consistent title challenger. Gerrard would have finally had what Lampard had, a strong team around him in all areas

I'm a United fan but players as talented as Gerrard don't come around often and for that same player to be this loyal, is almost a miracle. I remember back when people used to say you can't have Gerrard and Lampard in midfield at the same time for England because they just overlap each other, so which one do you choose... but for me there was no contest - Gerrard all day long.
Gerrard was a real boss. Gentleman. Never left is club. A example for all of us.
