The closest thing, that I can think of, to a traditional description of Hell, is every minute after you realise that your child is missing....I cannot possibly imagine the torture of this feeling.

My cat looks at me with love in her eyes..(my cat Sophie was a rescue cat I adopted yrs ago. Chase is gorgeous . Pets get used to home routines so Chase is very used his mum, (Emma) talking while filming & he wants to be on that gorgeous 'pumpkin' style seat feeling very cosy under Emma's arm and loving her familiar voice.Thanks for spoiling us Emma with the occasional extra video. That's why we're fans of Ur Chanel and the videos .
I have heard this story a few times before. Despite the fact you hadn't got any extra info on this case, I think the way you tell the stories makes it worth hearing the same case again because you add a whole lot of emotion, feeling that brings the story to life. I hate these auto readers people use when creating their content. Thank you for caring enough.
I also appreciate Emma's psychological insights from her experience as a therapist - for me, this is probably the main thing that sets her apart and that I have yet to find on other True Crime channels.

Cases like this where the victim is literally born the same month and year as me and dies so young makes me extra sad.

I watch a lot of crime channels and I always notice a lot of these types of crimes happen on or around my birthday (29th October) 😵💫

I want my daughter to feel empowered and safe. I want her to enjoy her early twenties! However, I feel as if I’m in a lifetime jail with the realities of what can happen to girls, young women and just females in general.
@@sdafc888she didn't say she is she is stating that she has concerns. My eldest son is 23 and of course fully independent and has been travelling to and from school, going out with friends etc since age 13. I still worry about his safety.

My daughter started martial arts at 7... she's 11 now and moans about it, but when she's older, she'll be glad I made her go.

I'd like to hear your take on Kenneth McDuff aka "the broomstick killer". He seems to be relatively unknown considering his crimes. In '66 he brutally murdered 3 teenagers & was given the death penalty. When the supreme court abolished the death penalty it was changed to life. In the 80's Texas prisons were over crowded and THEY FREED HIM!! The people of his hometown, Rosebud Tx were shocked & terrified. It wasn't long before he started snatching random women when he saw an opportunity, take them to a deserted place & brutally ravage them. He's one of the most heartless, brutal & scary killers i can think of. I remember when he was on his rampage. Because of him the sentencing law for capitol murder was changed & named after him.
I've heard of him. Watched a documentary not too long ago. I found myself disgusted on so many levels with his case. From the crimes themselves but the entire system was so unbelievably slack on this guy considering how clearly dangerous he was. Hard to believe that it could all happen the way it did. My heart sinks for all those families that lost loved ones because the system released a serial killer! Can't imagine being them and having to live with that irreversible injustice. Heartbreaking.

I grew up a few doors up from the Taylor family and went round to play.with his daughter. My 1st memory of him was gutting rabbits in his front garden. Another time I was at his house, i must have been about 11 and he tore the heads off some live birds to feed his ferrets. I was terrified and could see the bodies still moving. He told me it was their nerves. Needless to say i never went round again.

Chases purring at the start set my fluff balls purring, it was really comforting. Kids being victims always hits hard, (people might say 16 isn't a kid, but to me it is, she was a child,) so some cat vibrations definitely helped ❤ x

i’ve watched a LOT of true crime and i can’t recall another time police stopped waste pick up in order to be able to go through people’s trash

I worked at a takeaway 2 mins from where she was taken and 1p mins from his house i was the same age and remember police searching my work 😢 the fact that he said he was looking for a girl that day is so scary 😳

Urgh I remember this case, this bloke is just reprehensible beyond belief, what a beast he is. My heart breaks for Leanne’s family & friends just every parent nightmare not knowing what happened to your child can’t comprehend as a mother 😢thank you again Emma for the deep dive on this case I totally agree with all of your summing up ❤
I remember this case so well. We lived down the hill from him, people would say they liked him but he was so strange. He would smile at us but I just didn’t trust him. His house also stunk, my days if he opened them windows the whole street would know. He literally would make my skin crawl, my friends would ask him to go in the shop for us (as you do at that age) and he would do it no questions asked even sometimes pass the money back give a wink and say ‘enjoy your night ladies’ looking back now we were 12-13. I have just realised what a total creep he was urgh my gosh as an adult I truly feel sick right now 😢

Emma we’ve had some local weird behaviour in Hampshire. Outside two local shops one outside a primary school and on one of the country roads they found over 40 unalived hares and big birds and even an owl. Three separate occasions this has been discovered.
I dread to think what that weirdo has to hide.
So twisted.
And you know when they catch them no justice will be done to prevent their further weirdo behaviour. SMH

I remember following this case when it happened. Absolutely horrific, what was done to Leanne. Her poor family too. Just walking home and never making it. So tragic. I think we’ve all took a short cut home at that age never thinking for 1 minute we were in any danger. It’s just awful. 😞 It’s shame they couldn’t just put him in one of the freezers in the morgue … and left him!

Parallels here with Ian Huntley and Wayne Couzens. Huntley also had a long history as a predator and claimed those girls died by accident in the bathroom. Couzens is another one. Surely the police know that he is also likely to have rped and murdered women and girls going back years. Very very scary characters who deserve misery in jail for rest of their lives. Poor Leanne...all that life ahead of her but snuffed out by this monster. Her parents and siblings will never get over it

Domestic freezers defrost periodically. They are not meant to store food long term. Commercial freezers are constantly -40°f. I worked at best buy selling freezers around this time.

You must have been the only person living in West Yorkshire that didn’t know about this case, it was literally in the papers and on the news on a daily basis for almost two years. Leanne’s face was in every shop window, it was even on milk cartons in the supermarket. How could you not have known.
With “baby reindeer” being so popular now, Could you please do the case of murderer michael rafferty? He was a prolific stalker of teenage girls and ultimately murdered a poor innocent little 8 year old girl. I’d love to hear your deep dive into the case to learn more about it!

Its so sad that mom's and dad's I think always think way back in your mind think I could not live if my child died im 100 percent with that mind set my sister died when she was 33 and my mom was dead within 10 months she gave up and just stopped everything even eating its so scary to think of this poor child what she went through I hope she's at peace somewhere in heaven 💔 ❤

It's things like establishing personal patterns and safety as to why even when I was really angry with my parents I remember texting my brother asking him to pass on I was at a friend's house.
It's important even when 16/17/18 to keep contact with family so when you disappear without notice, they can take it seriously like this. The response of the police and community is heartwarming ❤
