In regards to the actions of the fans in the crowd at The Well last night; I am beyond embarrassed. I am beyond ashamed. I feel humiliated. Even when I'm 3,400 miles away (currently living in Germany). Those idiots who threw the wrist bands on the ice have not only in one evening tarnished the honoring of a man that has done endless positive things for the community in 50 years through social programs and charity, but brought us a hockey team in which we love and adore so much, they have tarnished our city as well. On national media nonetheless, which loves to eat up stories of Philadelphia fans acting with zero class whatsoever,on a night in which we should be humbled, despite the asswhooping we took. This is in my time easily the most disrespectful thing I've ever seen in all of Philadelphia sports. It hurts to even wear the same colors as those morons and 'bleed orange' with them. Our team can lose Stanley Cup series', get bounced out of the playoffs, play atrocious defense, allow terrible goals, but nothing....NOTHING will ever leave me as a fan feeling as empty as I do after last night. For the team on the ice despite the loss battling their ASSES off against a clearly superior opponent, for the city of Philadelphia, and for the Snider family who is grieving the loss of their loved one, they all deserve better.

thesammylude---Well-said. Although I am not a die-hard fan, I do like the team, and what the organization has done over the years. It truly was a classless act by many. As far as it being the most disrespectful thing ever seen in all of Philadelphia sports, I'd have to disagree. That title goes to when the Eagles picked-up Michael "The Dick" Vick. After what that piece of shit was guilty of, and then having the Eagles reward him with an NFL contract, was the most abhorrent thing in Philly sports history.
