  • This is a historic perspective of the Wilkeson sandstone quarry, and the coke and coal mining industry. Also, it covers in virtual reality, geology, resources, and architecture related to dimension stone, natural gas, bottle glass sand, sand trap sand, logging, oil, railroads, and the early economic development of Washington State. Locations include the Washington cities of Auburn, Ravensdale, Carbonado, Tacoma, and Seattle. Also, I discuss influences on local history from historic gold and silver mining in California and Nevada, the logging industry, railroads, and the relative isolation of Washington State in the 1800s. Another factor of this video is to show large-scale photogrammetry in a documentary context. Hello Rock People! This is Dave the Geology Dude! This video is a showcase of six months of learning photogrammetry in large-scale formats. Please "like" and subscribe to this CZcams channel!
