Am I the only woman watching this? I only discovered you two days ago and I keep watching your videos. I have found it so fascinating to learn how to create so many classy looks for man. I've always thought it is more interesting to dress a man than a woman. I found it easier to buy clothes for my husband than myself. But now, thank to you, I have gained so much knowledge. I have a son who is 16 year old and still quite short and I would love to hear your advice on dressing young guys on budget and still looking good. As at this age they are still growing so you don't want to spend too much money on clothes which might be in use for just a few months. Now, when I have a free time I watch Gentleman's Gazette. My favourite "program".
I am sure I wouldn't mind but I am not quite sure what you would like me to do. Via what email would you like me to share the comment including my name and home time?
If you are 173cm like me, it is not too bad. You can still get clothings at XS or S. Hugo Boss/Uniqlo/Esprit fits the best. I am an expert at this height. LOL
you've helped me out so much. my wardrobe has definitely grown since I started watching this, even for regular activities. I had a really immature taste at first, but watching these, I can get an idea or an example in my head that you have provided and just do something similar to that but with my own twist. So, in other words, thank you and I appreciate it.
That would be interesting if you did a video on how to dress young boys for special occasions (basically suits or tuxedos). It would especially be helpful to mothers wanting a man's perspective on this subject. And fathers who are a bit out of touch when it comes to male fashion. LOL
I've tried made-to-measure once so far. Some of my measurements were below the lower limit of what their software allowed me to input, but customer support assured me they could adjust the measurements manually on their end. So far, they've sent me three tries worth of shirts, and though each one has been a significant improvement on the last, the most recent one still has a weird problem with the shoulders and a back that is way too baggy. It remains to be seen whether they'll ultimately be able to fit me. I just hope that if it's beyond their abilities, they'll eventually admit it.
Great, great, advice! Finding clothes that are "to scale" really does make a huge difference. Short people (like me) who have large features (ears, eyes, or shoulders for example) may find that some more delicate jewelry and prints end up looking too flimsy on them. If that is the case, might it be ok to scale up prints and accessories just a little (being careful not to over do it)?
Thank you very helpful video. I have decided to use online tailors to get my shirts made. I waste too much time trying to find clothing that fits off the rack, and waste extra money getting the body length and sleeves shortened, off the rack shoulders are always too big for me as well.
I'm 5'6 I can't tell you how excited I get when I see a surgeon's cuff coat where I can open it up and fix it myself instead of having to pay somebody to do it
Hello Sven, Thank you for the very informative video. However, I would like to inform you that the brand Silas Jakson is going out of business in three days and that the brand "Ash and Anvil" has been renamed as "Ash & Erie".
I'd add the most important thing for me personally, there seems to be a complex going on with short men, who are unwilling to acknowledge the fact that they have to buy an s or xs, so instead they keep buying clothes in m that are way to big on them, just to avoid buying the smaller size. It has to be some kind of misinterpretation of machismo or something. Guys, buy YOUR size!
I’m 5’3” and my problem is I can’t find clothes that are small enough. I’ll go to the store and the smallest size will be a small when I need an xs so I’m forced to get the small or not get anything.
Can you please do a video or make suggestions on casual clothing for hard to fit men? I'm a short guy with a big drop (5'6, 39" chest, 29" waist) and find it impossible to find the basics such as t shirts, sweaters, jackets, etc.
Hello! You have some fantastic videos and tips, love your channel and site. However, are there any tips on choosing (or finding) cruelty free materials, fabrics, etc? It is really difficult, for instance, to find suits that are both good quality and not wool, or quality sweaters and such while avoiding things like cashmere...
My boyfriend is 5'8". I LOVE the look of a classic white tux ( white jacket+ black pants) ,but I'm worried it might cut his height and make him look shorter. He ialso has a broad beefy torso. Pls help; we can't decide on a wedding look
Hi, I'm Seventeen and I'm 200cm tall. I find it hard to find clothes that fit me well as I'm also skinny too. I video like this but for tall people would be much appreciated. Great video 😀
I'm like 1m83cm and quite skinny and that's also very annoying because S has a good fit but is to short. M sometimes fits and sometimes doesn't. L just looks like I am swimming in the clothes.
really love your videos..extremely technical ..I am 193 cm, 105 kg with a wide back and thigh & big thighs and everything i try on makes me feel like a sausage or they fit on the waist and extremely loose on the calves...tried slimfit which is supposed to be for athletic guys with no avail...tried regular cut jeans and the same result...i honestly don`t know what to do .. keep up the good work I look forward to your videos more the RMRS,Alpha M., TMF etc.
Dort finde ich vieles, was Sie empfehlen
Absolutely. The other day I noticed the tailors my family and I have used for a long time had a whole new section on their website for LGBTQ+ people and gender affirming tailoring. In some ways trans gentlemen more than any other men could benefit from bespoke tailoring, likewise for trans women.
I can't get over how Donald Trump has so much money but still has a tie too long. Idk about you but if I was wealthier I'd definitely pay really close attention to my clothes. Especially to the suits if you're a business man

+Ewa25 thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate it. Would you mind sharing this comment via email including, your name and home town?
I am sure I wouldn't mind but I am not quite sure what you would like me to do. Via what email would you like me to share the comment including my name and home time?
Yaaaas, I’m also a girl and it feels good to know I’m not the only one here
@Ewa25 You are not the only woman watching this 😁I'm a woman and this happens to be one of favorite channels 😁
Also, if you're on a tight budget and aren't too iffy when it comes to "fast fashion", Uniqlo is a decent brand for shorter guys.
I'm a dude rocking 5'3" nah I wish I was taller but whatever can't fight genetics, might as well dress the part.
JordanMandas Official Haha, are you really advicing him to become a manlet?
VincentViews nice

Same size, Esprit is a real saviour.
Im shorter like 1.66 and hugo boss does have slim trousers that fits me well.
Dude with 173 you should dress without problems. I wouldn't even consider this height as short. What is your weight? Im 165 and i go for S-L sizes.
Bro, i'm a slim 5'8 and use M
I'm 172 cm and always round my height to 5"8 😅
I buy everything slim and S

Thank you Mr.Rapahel as words can hardly describe how helpful and motivating your work has been to uplift my style game. You truly are a role model.
YES! I'm only 5' 7" so this video was VERY pleasing! I'll definitely be doing more spending with Fort Belvedere!
thanks for making this video. regardless of height, I think understanding these concepts and why/how they work is of value to anyone.

Being 5'1 it's weird to be put in the same category as 5'8 men. They are considered short? Insane
tbf 5'8 is still short not that short no offence but at 5'1 you are very short!
How old r you by the way?
This is just what I need, being an adult under 170 cm. Thanks, Raphael!

I'm a 5'3 guy-finding clothes is hard.
Great video and full of info. Brock is the man...or should I say, the Modest Man.
I don't have the money for bespoke but I found MTM suits (Indochino, particularly) which suit me well. Made to your specific measurements, drop, etc.
The online stores recommended in the video:
www.silasjackson.com/
www.petermanningnyc.com/
www.jimmyaus.com/
ashandanvil.com/
I like wearing shorter pants when wearing cowboy boots or dress shoes. I prefer wearing slightly longer pants when wearing tennis or skate shoes.
Can you please do a video or make suggestions on casual clothing for hard to fit men?
I'm a short guy with a big drop (5'6, 39" chest, 29" waist) and find it impossible to find the basics such as t shirts, sweaters, jackets, etc.
One of the many things I miss from living in Asia is proper-fitting clothes
me too! and im not even short. im just shaped human and not american 😆
Hey, my boy Ethan !
so excited. got paid today. im planning for a tailor.
Who is that Asian fellow you keep showing photos of? Very dapper.
Ethan M. Wong, he has a blog called StreetXSprezza
Alphonse Loh thank you very much will look him up.
He wrote a great guide on Seb's style in La La Land.
Michel Kuhn really?
Funny enough that is something I'd love to read will have to check it out. Cheers

I have the exact opposite problem with ties. I have a 16in neck and a longer torso lol i never have enough tie
I'm 5"3" it's embarrassing and also hard to find clothes that fit.
Great vid. Very helpful.
Very good video by the way!
9:30 Well, that doesn't necessarily apply to me, because I use to wear frock-coats. ☺
The Donald Trump humor killed me lol.

None of the Fort Belvedere knit ties are available in short size. Will this change?
Hi, I'm Seventeen and I'm 200cm tall. I find it hard to find clothes that fit me well as I'm also skinny too. I video like this but for tall people would be much appreciated. Great video 😀
I'm 170cm, do you want to give me 10cm? I would be 180cm and you 190cm, good for both of us.
Great guide!
Nice video !
Where is it possible to find trousers like the one at 3'25 please ?
Thank you by advance !
whats your height man?
Perfect show
I'm like 1m83cm and quite skinny and that's also very annoying because S has a good fit but is to short. M sometimes fits and sometimes doesn't. L just looks like I am swimming in the clothes.
who's that asian gentleman you illustrated in this video please? I wanna learn from his style
zuogehaoren that's Ethan M. Wong. His blog is called Street x Sprezza.
Thank you 👌🏽
Do you have one for taller men?
Yes we do. I suggest to use the search function on our website to find what you are looking for ;)
I'm 5' 8" but lower shoulder width and slimmer legs wont work for me as I'm very athletic 42C and 32w. I've just gone with a 42 short in the past.
What if you are both short and thin...? How should you do pattern?
Thank u
Please do a similar video for tall guys
Thank you for your suggestion we will add that on our list!

Also colour of suit
Since I'm skinny and short is it probably better for me to wear strips so I can look like I fill in more?
How about one for taller guys ?
"for 5'8 and under" im 5'8 but my inseam is 32... EVEN WEBSITES FOR ME DON'T FIT
Nayr Michael lol same
buy inseam 32 and then tailor the waist.
Just curious, how tall are you, Raphael?
he mentioned that he wears a 11.5 US size shoes, he's probably 6' - 6'1"
What brand are the shoes at 4:38 the brown suede dress shoes?? I WANT THEM! SUPER NICE!
I love this channel. But why does it look like the background is moving behind you?
Parallax due to camera motion.
will you do one for taller guys as well?
My question is, shoes don’t come in my size is there anywhere that sells shoes for small people? I mean like 5’0”
Does this also apply for guys who are 5'9
Is there a shop for people in the EU?
Hi! Where did you get those shoes?
What is the channel of the asian gentleman in the pictures ?
Can this apply to someone who is 5'10?

That Donald Trump - line :D perfect! By the way: are you able to speak german?:))
He's from Germany so I would assume so. Sometimes he slips up and uses the 'd' sound instead of 'th' like many Germans do.

Love the dig on Trump.

Trump's inauguration day red tie was larger than an aircraft carrier!
A perfect video for our trans gentlemen
Gross
No such thing

Ok, so this video kicks all kinds of ass...
Second
Whilst I am a trump supporter, that was pretty funny.
