    Great video but there a few inaccuracies. The video states that there are (at least) three "other-suffering emotions", naming, sympathy empathy, and compassion as examples of three distinct emotions of this type. Empathy is not an emotion, according to Frans de Waal (who is specifically mentioned in the video) and other scientists, but the ability to feel others' emotions thanks to the mirror neuron system (present not only in human brains, but also in the brains of many other species). Compassion is used by some psychologists to refer to an emotion that other scientists prefer to call sympathy: a negative emotion aroused when seeing another in pain or in need, or suffering. They do not refer to two distinct emotions.
