Thanks for checking out this weeks video. What's your favorite feature and what new feature would you add? I still can't believe everything you're getting with these cameras at this price point. You should have tested the phone call features. I believe it only records one side of the conversation. However, it was a great video as usual. Thank you.
I love the TP-Link network I have, but I opted for the hard wired Eufy dual camera door bell camera. Provides AI and no user fee. It also comes with a very bright spot light. All in all a very high quality camera. Surprised you haven’t reviewed it. My model is T8203
Got mine installed today, great door bell easy set up once the wires were connected. My problem was the short tiny screws for the wire's connections, wouldn't thread. I cut some off the longer ones that did thread and used those... Very happy with it, time will tell...
I had e340 and just returned. The audio was choppy on the doorbell side and the motion zones didn’t really work at all. There is a slight notification delay on your phone when the doorbell is pressed. There is no preroll even though I had it wired in. So the video clips showed a person when there were already close to my door not as they walk up the wall way. Eufy support was good and offed to provide a replacement. I ended up returning instead since I already eufy spotlight camera near my door. I just switched from Ring to everything eufy. I light the video quality and the features of homemade 3 however they don’t always catch all motions properly and sometimes cut clips short too soon. I have countered this by turning on 24/7recording. Going to test some tap products and see if they might a good ground between Ring and Eufy
Thanks! What is the black mount at 6:55 that actually connects to your house? I need something similar to extend the doorbell away from the wall, otherwise my field of vision is blocked. Thank you!
It's actually a step backward imo, viz. the Micro SD card goes into the door bell itself and not a connected hub. Anyone smashing or stealing the door bell destroys all the footage. Nice review, love from India.
Can you tell us how these compare to the Ring video wireless doorbell ? Ours are not working as good as when we first got them. They miss a lot of movement such as deliveries .
You're going to see a nice improvement in quality and features. The motion sensor on this camera is huge and should would a lot better than Ring. If you're able to hardwire it, you can take advantage of the 24/7 recording.
no subscription required. when it's wired it won't miss motion events like battery powered ones and no pre-roll with battery powered or low res pre roll.
I have no idea if you still have the Nest Cams… BUUUTT if you could pretty pretty please review the new ADT alarm system it ESPECIALLY test out their Trusted Neighbor feature!!!! YOURE VIDEO ROCK AND ID LOVE YOUR OPINION!!!
Happy to hear that you like my videos. I don't cover home security systems anymore but the CZcams channel Security.Org probably has some content on it.
@@SteveDOES Do you have to format the sd card once it's full even though it's in loop recording mode? Cuz the app says it's probably full or not working well even when I set the loop recording mode...
Not the perfect doorbell, but it almost is. I miss RTSP, the ability to save my footage to an NVR and to save it to my own cloud solution and not their subscription based one. To save it to an SD-card is kind of pointless if you ask me since the bad guy just need to take the camera with him. Also I’d would love to see a version with 4K and not just 2K.
it does not have EVERYTHING i want, it is NOT Homekit Compatible, Bummer No thank you!!! but thank you for your review!! looks a bit bulky but i like 24/7. maybe it will be $99 for black friday, lol
@@SteveDOES hmmm. I have the Nest now. I don’t pay the monthly. So I don’t get all video capabilities. So maybe this would be an “upgrade”?? And isn’t the Eufy doorbell HomeKit compatible? Thinking of getting the E330 Eufy cams. But Eufy doorbell is too big and wide for the trim area I have my door doorbell at.
I picked a D225 for $75, I have couple other Kasa cameras, and they sent me a email with a "early bird" special that gave 25% off promo code on amazon.

I'm in the market for a video doorbell so thank you for this video. I have a lot of TP-Link devices and have never been disappointed.
You should be happy with this one too. :)
You should have tested the phone call features. I believe it only records one side of the conversation. However, it was a great video as usual. Thank you.
Ah, i see what you mean. Let me find out and i'll get back to you.
Doesn't turn on without a subscription to the cloud.
@SteveDOES thank you for the follow up. Your channel is really good.
@@msgajhimelret9496 you don't need a subscription to use the phone features

There are 2 different types of small screws. Glad to heat that you're happy with it so far.
What’s better the TP 225 or the Eufy E340 I was going to buy the Eufy until I seen this video
I haven't tested any of the new Eufy products, so i'm not sure. Someone else on here might be able to answer this better.

Tp link I love them steve
They've gradually become one of my favorite brands.
Whats the rtsp url? Thanks
No RTSP is a bummer otherwise a pretty good doorbell
RTSP is a feature i'd like to test out.

How do you change the actual time like from 3 pm to 4 pm ?
Why can’t you use the mechanical chime

24/7 recording to onboard sd card? Do you have to delete old footage at a certain point or does it automatically remove old after a week or month?
Yes, it records 24/7 locally to the card. You can toggle on Loop Recording where it deletes the old stuff when it's full.
@@SteveDOES Do you have to format the sd card once it's full even though it's in loop recording mode? Cuz the app says it's probably full or not working well even when I set the loop recording mode...
does anyone know if you can rig two doorbells to the same chimebox for autorecord?
i have a question about the google nest hub (2and gen)
can you conect any bluetooth speaker to it that you want?
Yes, i think you can.
Does it have HomeKit secure video?
It does not.
All they need now is an integrated solar powered outdoor camera 👏🏽
That would be a nice add-on.

One question: does it support HDR?
How are you using RTSP? Are you saving to a NAS? I've always wanted to test that out.
This is a great question! I'm not seeing it listed on the website. I'm reaching to to TP-Link for the answer.
@@SteveDOESExactly; I would like to save it to a NAS/NVR.
@@SteveDOES I use it with Frigate NVR
