It's absolutely fascinating to see how the dimensions of time and distance shape languages and cultures in a way that gradually small changes become so big that it takes an entirely new form and becomes unrecognizable. Although this seems to be the period when there was so much research in linguistics and all these languages were developing independently and coherently at the same time and also clearly showing the importance of language in science, technology, discovery and inventions.
