I love the Fairbanks Morse Magneto that I have on my 1965 Triumph TR6. I love having a train part on my motorcycle. I didn't know Fairbanks Morris made Magneto's I thought it was a Joe hunt at first but you're just about the same. One time to weld on my battery box broke and it was being dragged along behind the bike by the wiring harness I just cut the wires wrapped it up throw it in the saddle bag fired it up on a Magneto and rode home. Great bike still have it.
I love my 1999 883 xlh Sportster. I bought a second hand with 20,000 miles on it and now it's almost 400,000 miles on the bike. The engine is still original. I replace stuff as needed but the bike has been more reliable and I ever thought possible and I sing the Praises of Sportsters whenever I'm in the Harley shop and I sold six of them just talking to people about my good experience. I love the fact that the Chinese have come out with an evolution Sportster the second after Harley-Davidson decides to crap out on their best-selling bike which is also the most historic bike that they have but not anymore. And then they have the nerve to call that piece of crap that they make now a Sportster. They should be boiled in Harley Oil.
Nice! Just build a 1962 XLCH. The parts for the engine were pretty expensive compared to building big twins. They didn´t make a whole lot of these bikes.
I had an Orange 68xlch, That was my best one. Also had a Blue 68xlch OP with 4k miles on it at one point. I have a 62xlrtt chassis and a 59xlch I’ll have them on here eventually.
I always loved the primary case on the Sportsters that said Sportster. I thought that was so cool.

I have a '62 that I bought in '84. It came with a Bates solo seat and the same Bates P-pad
Badass, send me an email if you want to sell. I have never had a complete 62 camsmachinellc@gmail.com
The XLCH was real all the way to 1969. Your '65 is a gem. Visit the XL Forum, great place. I have a fairly stock '69. My favorite bike of all time.

That sissy bar is over the top 😅

Bad ass
Great vid. But more footage of getting it in and out of van! 😅
Looks like a magneto on that engine. Joe Hunt? . Time warp bike with the feel of a moment in time.
It looks more like the Fairbanks- Morse that came stock on those
@@karlhering594 I think you are right looking at old pictures. I didn`t realise Sportster's were mag as late as that,
My sportster is a 65 rigid with 57 ironhead joe hunt magneto tagged on coil side
This was made during an Era where Harley Davidson was actually a Harley Davidson. The cons are your going to spend more time fixing it than riding it.
The FLH looks good. What are you planning to do with it.
Already sold it to a customer
do you have a instagram
Yes @Cannolisforever
