Glad to see someone that knows enough to straddle the bike to kick start it. You don't have to lift your leg as high so it is less tiring and if you get launched you land on the seat or shock with your ass and not your shins on the side of the bike. Go ahead and disagree but after riding for fifty two years good luck with proving your version of how it's done. Love this bike.
Hi Kirt, I wish I had the money for your bike, they are well worth the the price. The work you do in my opinion is the best. I called you some time ago when you were busy getting three bikes ready for Datona, and you went out of your way to give me advice. You talked to me for over 45 minutes, when you could have just short answered me and got off the phone. Thanks... and yes this is a ringing indorsement for anybody who might read this comment. That's the way you start a Harley! The other videos start the bike standing on the side. It looks dumb. You have to get on the bike and start it. The only reason to have a kick star is so you look cool when you start it.
Dude, How many Sportsters do you have? Are you the one who restores them? Each one is nicer then the other. I'm just trin to get my hands on a early 60's XLCH basket bike. Have any left overs layin around your garadge?
@@kurtvonzech9237 i agree with you. nothing wrong with bearings. lifters is what you hear in this video. totally normal for this old sporty. if the ROD bearings were bad, it would sound like a hammer tapping on metal. been there and done that
That is one clean ass little scoot,, absolutely gorgeous.
One of the nicest old Sporty's I have ever seen!! Beautiful.
Guys used to make S&S Stroker's with those ! With Sunoco 260 , 103 octane , these were absolutely brutal !
That is legitimately cool, I’d like an old xlch at that level...
Way to go, pop! 😃
Awesome bike!
AWESOME SPORTY MAN! I've got a 76, one day I'll get my hands on a pre-70's one.
