The chorus, with its repeated refrain of "Lila ramonda," serves as a symbolic anchor in the song. The lila ramonda flower, known for its resilience and ability to bloom even in harsh conditions, represents hope and renewal amidst darkness and despair. The narrator's repeated question of "Gde su nestale lila ramonde?" (Where have the lila ramondas disappeared?) reflects their search for answers and guidance in a world that feels devoid of light and comfort.

The message of the song is strong. "Find the light in yourself, and hold on to hope. That's the only way you'll defeat the darkness in yourself and all around you. And you'll rise like a purple ramonda from the ashes." In the end, the light always overcomes the darkness. Ramonda is a symbol of resurrection and life, a symbol of peace.

  • @vatromet1

The rock on which the singer is lying at the beginning of the video represents the island of Corfu in Greece, where Serbian soldiers recovered in the First World War, after retreating across Albania. We call the sea around the island of Krv the Blue Tomb, because many soldiers who died are buried there. In Serbia, the Ramonda flower is a symbol of rebirth and rising from the ashes. The people have gone through and are going through many misfortunes and sufferings, but they always hope that everything will be fine. This song is dedicated to all those who sacrificed themselves for the benefit of new generations.

  • @kevanmcdougallmph

The song uses the ramonda as a metaphor for the human experience. The ramonda is a flower that can be almost completely dehydrated and seem "dead" but appears to come "back to life" with even a small amount of water. Thus, the song speaks to never giving up hope, even when we are on the brink of losing it. This message resonates so much in 2024.
It also holds a lot of significance for Serbians as a symbol of post-war resilience and strength.

Ramonda became a symbol of resilience and survival during the Albanian Golgotha, when Serbian military units had to retreat across the Albanian mountains in winter conditions. The plant was found along those difficult routes, symbolizing hope and perseverance in challenging times. Therefore, for many people in Serbia, ramonda represents a symbol of courage and resilience during difficult times in the country's history.

After her song "Dzanum" which went viral all over the world thanks to Tiktok, now we have a sequel in the form of Ramonda. The title of Teya's song "Ramonda" references a flower known by its latin name "Ramonda serbica", an endemic, protected species that only grows in Serbia and around it, which is known for its ability to completely dry out and still revive once it gets water, a flower that can straight up come back from undead. Very similar to Ramonda Serbica is Natalie's Ramonda, flower of the same genus, In Serbia it's known as "Natalijina ramonda" named after the XIX century Serbian queen Natalija Obrenović and it's used as a symbol of victory in WWI. In Serbia, to mark this day we wear a phoenix flower - Natalie's Ramonda, capable of resurrection, just as Serbia after WWI, in which it lost almost 1/3 of people. In fact, the song can also talk about loneliness, hope and the ability to have everything in its place one day. Just like Ramonda flower only needs a drop of water to come alive.

This purple dream is winner material - not only because a ballad will definitely stand out at Eurovision this year, but also because it represents the spirit of its country in a way that makes me shiver in front of this mesmerizing beauty!💜🪻🇷🇸 I do understand the profound meaning because I am half Croatian, but even if we don't look at borders and nations, "Ramonda" is a haunting mélange of velvety melancholia, spectral grace and deepest emotions! And there couldn't be a more suitable voice to share this multi-layered message with the entire world: Teya Dora is not only a heartwarming human being and exceptionally gifted artist, but has the ability to seduce the masses with a voice out of this world. Vocals and songs don't always need to be loud and sharp to cast a spell over the universe, and in this case a dark lullaby is predestined to make this world a better place. Ramonda only needs one drop of water to rise from the dead - and if we look at the current state of our world, a sweet masterpiece like this has never been more necessary than now. Like the flower itself, "Ramonda" grows and grows and grows with every single listen, its putting me in a trance at night and day, and I'm already sure that Teya's magic will heal all the suffering in the world in May. This entry fulfills me on the deepest possible level and it embraces my soul as if it was born within me ages ago!💜🪻✨️🌙

I imagine her , lost, alone, after a difficult battle ( during or after the war) searching for her loved ones ,,, lilac ramonda could be symbol for hope... ..a flower that only needs a drop of water to rise and bloom...she needs hope now, to be like a flower that will rise from the ashes... I think this could be an anti-war song ( the flower is considered a symbol of the struggle and victory of Serbia in the First World War, with the largest number of victims in relation to the number of inhabitants)
I can hear the silent scream to find strength in her broken being and rise above herself..like lila Ramonda 🌷

To answer your question the song is about peace and anti-war as the flower Ramonda that Teya is singing about is from serbia and it's used as a symbol of peace from world war 1 the flower is special because when it dies it comes back to life after being watered thus explaining when she said the last line 'rises from the ashes, single lila Ramonda' and that's also why her hair is wet Resembling that flower can come back after death just from some water

This is clearly supposed to make me feel something and she’s actually singing with a lot of passion… but it’s not really landing for me.
It’s pretty and she sounds good. But I would not seek this out. I find it hard to remember and (not unlike Cyprus) I don’t like a chorus where it is basically just repeating one word.
Not for me. But… it’s pretty.
